Louisa's p.o.v;
When I woke up, I saw Ace sleeping beside me. I smiled without my knowledge after seeing him sleeping peacefully. I remembered the kiss last night. It was really a good one. While I was grinning while remembering it, I remembered another thing. He didn't sleepwalk last night.
"When do you wake up?" He asked, patting my head.
I asked, "Did I wake you up?"
He shaked his head and looked at me.
"What is it?"
He moved closer to me and pulled me into a quick kiss and said, "I thought it was a dream, But it's real. I couldn't believe it's you who initiated the kiss." And he smiled at me.
"Stop teasing me. Hey, about your sleepwalking, does this occur every night or randomly?"
"Every Night. Why do you ask?"
"Because you didn't sleepwalk last night."
"What?"
"Yeah, it came as a surprise to me as well."
"Is it because of the kiss?"
"What?"
"This could be a way. I think you have to kiss me every night to stop me from sleepwalking."
"Huh?"
While I was staring at him being confused, he laughed and said, "I was just kidding. Stop giving me that stunned expression. My sleepwalking has decreased recently. Maybe that's why I didn't do it last night."
"Oh."
"Give me a morning kiss."
I got out of bed quickly and said, "I have to go to college today." And walked into the bathroom.
When I looked at my face in the mirror, my cheeks were red. Did I get blushed by those words? 'Get hold of yourself, Louisa." And started to take shower.
After a shower, I came out while drying my hair and saw Ace being ready to leave.
He walked to me and said, "I thought I could drop you at college but I have an important thing to do. I have to hurry up. Take care." He patted my head and walked out of the apartment in a hurry.
I realised the reality I was in. Why do I keep forgetting who he is? Even Though, i try to forget everything around us for a while, when we step out of this room, He's the next in line phantom gang leader. And, I'm a student who takes part-time jobs to pay my fees. We both live in different worlds. He can't step into mine and I can't step into his. No matter what, I should remember that this is just a fling.
At college,
I came to Diego's class and looked for him while standing near the door. I saw him talking to some boys in the back.
"Diego!" I called out to him.
He raised his head and looked at me. I waved while smiling at him. He stood up from his seat and told something to the boys who surrounded him and walked to me. He looked confused which made me smile.
When he came closer to me, I hugged him and said, "I'm sorry. Sorry for behaving like a shit. Sorry for not talking to you. Sorry for ignoring you. Sorry for not telling you."
He broke the hug and asked, "What are you doing?"
When we looked around, the students who were walking past were looking at us.
"Come inside."
After we took our seats, he asked, "What was the apology for?"
"I got upset when Bernardo moved out of the apartment, sorry for taking it on you. Will you forgive me and take me as your best friend again?"
He gave a flick on my forehead and asked, "What are you talking about? When did I unfriend you to take you back? By the way, why did he move out?"
"He didn't tell me anything about moving out. The day before he came to me and told me that he's moving out. He said he felt uncomfortable around me when I asked for the reason."
"Uncomfortable? Did he really say that?"
"Yeah. I was so upset after hearing it from him."
He patted my shoulder and said, "Can I ask him again?"
I shaked my head and said, "He also told me that he doesn't want to be friends with me."
"What!?"
"I didn't ask him after he said that."
"Louisa, I think there's something behind this. Did you ask everly about this? Bernardo might have told his girlfriend about this, right?"
"I decided not to be involved with him anymore."
"But he's your friend."
"Yeah, exactly. He's only a friend to me. If he wanted to let it go, let it be."
"Louisa, will you let me go if i leave too?"
I nodded while looking at him.
He gave me another flick and said, "Even if you wish, it won't happen."
I smiled at him.
His friends surrounded us and bolted out so many questions at us.
"Are you friends with Diego?"
"I haven't seen you before?"
"Which faculty are you from?"
Diego stood up and said, "If you guys want to know about her, you have to treat me to a hotpot first. I'll trade her information then."
I asked him, "Am I too cheap for you?" "I'm leaving."
While I was on the way to my class, I saw Lucas walking towards me. Is he going to blackmail again? When I got closer to him, he walked past me without talking to me. What? Didn't he see me? I turned and looked at him but he was still walking across the hall. I let out a sigh and continued walking to my class.
After classes got over, I bought a chocolate smoothie from the cafeteria and walked alongside the playground. While I was walking, I saw Bernie playing football with other guys inside the playground. Even if I talk to him, he's going to ignore me so let's keep walking. Lucas stood in front of me. I ignored him and continued walking.
When he came close, he said, "Louisa, follow me." And walked past me.
I walked after Lucas and we came to the wall behind the science faculty.
He took his phone out and showed me the phone while saying, "I deleted the pictures i had. You can check it to make sure."
"It's…"
He placed the phone on my hand and said, "Take a look at it."
I noticed that he didn't look me in the face while talking. And he's wearing a cap which covers half of his face. I took a look at his phone and returned it to him. After he got the phone, he nodded at me. I noticed a bruise near his mouth. It looked like he was involved in a fight. But Lucas wasn't someone who would get into fights often. And the pictures, did someone beat him for the pictures? Who might it be?
Ace or Bernardo or Diego? If Bernardo would have known about this, he would have asked me about Ace. I don't think Diego is involved. Ace? But I didn't say anything to him about Lucas.
I ran after Lucas and caught him near the playground and asked, "Who did you get into a fight with?"
"Aren't you the one who sent him? Why are you asking me like you don't know him?"
"Is it the person in the picture?"
"No."
"Then who's it?"
"Didn't you ask Ryder to beat me up? Why are you acting like you don't know." And he walked away from me.
Ryder? How come he knows about this? It's been a long time since I talked to him, so how would I ask for help from him? Where will he be right now?
"Colten!" I heard someone shouting out Colton's name in the playground. Will Ryder be inside? I looked at the guys who were playing in the playground and found Colton and Arlo among them. Where's Ryder? Maybe Colton and Arlo know his whereabouts.
I took a seat in the audience seat and waited for them to take a break. While I was waiting, I saw Bernie looking at me. Why is he looking at me? Wasn't he the one who said it's uncomfortable?
After a while, the game stopped. Looked like they're taking a break. I walked to Colten who was at the stand. Arlo left somewhere already.
"Hey, colten!"
"Louisa, I didn't know you're interested in football. Do you like football?"
"I'm not a fan. Do you know where Ryder is?"
"He didn't come to college today. He said he's going to his sister's school. I remember him talking about some event in her school."
"Okay. Can you tell him to meet me when he comes to college?"
"Okay."
"Thank you. All the best for your game."
I walked out of the playground and headed to my class. How did Ryder know about Lucas blackmailing me? Did he know about Ace too?
After classes got over, I went to my apartment since I don't have work in the library. I dropped on the bed and stared at the ceiling. I rolled over and looked at the time, it's 4. I still have to go to a cafe at 6. Let's take a little nap before that.
At cafe,
Ryan, "Can you do the deliveries today?"
I nodded and took the delivery job. It would have been good if it's the work inside the cafe. I would have got a chance to speak to Danielle if I were in the cafe.
Inbetween delivery, i got stuck in the traffic, while i was waiting for the signal to turn green, i saw Bernie walking hand in hand along with his girlfriend, Everly to somewhere. Thinking about what happened that day, Everly was all smiley and Bernie's face was bland. Everly smile looked fake a little. Did they get into a fight that day? The signal turned green so I ignored thinking about him and continued delivering the food to the customers.
After delivering all the food, I went to a cafe. It's already 9. When I looked for Danielle, she wasn't there. I asked Lily about her but she said Danielle left early today. Is it my unlucky day today?
Ryan, "Louisa, wait for a while." And he went inside. He came out with an envelope saying, "It's your money for this month."
"But Ryan, I started working in the fourth week. How can I get one whole month's income? That wasn't fair." I took some money and gave it back to him saying, "Give this to me at the end of next month. With some more bills."
He smiled and said, "Okay. And, are you okay with deliveries?"
"Yeah, it's fine. Even though it's tiring in the beginning, once I start driving in the streets, it becomes fun. Also, I kinda came to know new streets because of this. Thank you for making me know my neighbourhood more, Ryan."
He patted my shoulder and said, "Okay. It's almost 10. Eat before you." And walked out of the cafe.
After everyone left, Lily and I were the ones who stayed at the cafe. Lily is the main cook who takes care of the pastries. She's a lady in her thirties, single, but I heard she's dating someone. Maybe she's keeping it low I guess. Lily placed the tea set and pastries on the table and sat across from me.
While I was eating the instant noodles, she asked, "I didn't know you're a sweet talker."
I smiled and said, "What are you talking about?"
"Why didn't you take the money?"
"I took the money which I worked for."
"You're honest." And she continued having her tea with snacks.
Honest? I doubt that.
After finishing my work in the cafe, I came back to my apartment.
When I entered the apartment, it was silent, I thought Ace would be here. Didn't he come yet or was he sleeping inside? I walked in and checked the rooms to be empty too. I think he won't come today. I took a shower and hit the bed.
