Louisa's p.o.v;
At the police department,
After hearing a lecture for an hour, I came back to my desk and sat down.
When I looked at Raphael, he was talking with Elisa. I'm embarrassed to talk with him after what happened in the morning. When I entered, I didn't greet him and walked straight to the chief office. I don't know how to talk with him.
Eduardo took a seat beside me and asked, "I know why I got relieved from the case."
"Why?"
"Because of Gabriel. I couldn't bear him at all. He always wants me to be at the scene but he doesn't come at all. He wants my every finding with a filed report. I don't know whether i have to find the people who are involved in the drugs or to write a report while sitting behind the desk. You know about him, that's why you didn't work in this case, right?"
I laughed and said, "Actually, he's not as bad as you think. Do you know how many cases he solved on his own? Almost half of the cases were solved by him alone. Sometimes, he gets furious when he can't connect the dots but it'll go away soon.
"You speak like you know him well then why didn't you take the case."
"You can go find the leads while you're talking to me. If he sees you chit chat with me, he'll definitely get mad." And laughed at him.
After Eduardo left, I noticed Raphael working at his desk.
"Raphael, about today…"
"Don't worry. I didn't tell anyone about it."
"What about you?"
"What about me?"
"What did you think of me while I was standing in front of you like that? I want to know."
"You looked hot."
"Not that. It's… having sex with…"
"Louisa, it's your personal. I don't have any right to ask about it or comment on it. But I can do one thing, don't fall for bad guys."
"Huh?"
"I mean like guys who sleeps around or have sex for fun or guys like with bad kinks."
"Oh, you meant that. Okay."
"What did you think?"
"Nothing."
While I was working on a file report, the chief placed a file on my desk and said, "Two elderly people were shot in the park. Go and check it out."
"What about the file I'm working on?"
After he gave a stare, I said, "Yes, Sir."
I closed my screen and walked out of the station with a file in my hands. I opened the file to get an outline of the case. Two elderly people were found in the park with bullet wounds. It was reported by a passerby.
When I got to the place where they got shot, the bodies were already moved for the autopsy. there wasn't any blood on the ground and the place didn't look like it was a struggle.
I asked the forensic photographer at the scene, "Did you see any bombshells nearby?"
He shook his head and asked, "Are you the one who's investigating the case?"
"Yeah, it was given to me after the cop who investigated before felt sick."
He gave a nod and continued taking the pictures of the crime scene.
After getting information about the girl of the dead couple, I went to their house.
At the dead couple's house, I knocked and waited but it wasn't answered. Wasn't she inside the house? When I tried to leave, I heard sounds from inside the house. I knocked again but there was no answer. I looked on either side of mine and pricked the door and entered the house.
A girl ran towards me and looked at the door and asked, "How did you come in?"
"Are you Mr and Mrs Mullins daughter Sarah?"
She nodded and started sobbing.
"Why didn't you open the door? Don't you know that's an offence during an investigation?"
"I was scared. After hearing my parents got shot in the park, I got scared and locked the door."
"Can I take a look at the house if you don't mind?"
She nodded while crying.
I walked past her and checked the kitchen, living room and her room. Her phone was on the table. I asked her to open the phone but didn't. I let go of it since she was in loss of her parents.
I walked out of the house and headed to a place I don't want to visit. Paulo's warehouse.
After ten minutes, I reached his place. While I was waiting for the approval from Paulo, I looked around the place. It looks the same as before.
I got in after the approval from him. As I walked inside the place was filled with his guys.
Paulo, "Lou, how long has it been?" And walked to me like giving me a hug.
I placed the gun in between us to stop him from hugging me.
The gangsters around us came closer after seeing me holding a firearm in my hand.
Paulo, "Hey, she's my girl. Go back." He asked me, "What is it, darling?"
"Mr and Mrs Mullins were found dead in a park. I know that Mr Mullin works for you. Did you kill them?"
"I don't like killing elderly people, darling. I always hunt for the young and fresh blood." He said while sniffing my hair.
I pulled my hair from his hand and said, "Well, I'll get going then."
When I tried to leave, he stood in front of me and asked, "Why are you leaving already? Whenever you come here, you talk about the case and leave right away. Why won't you stay for sometime?"
"Don't think I'll be idle until you keep your hands on me. I'm a cop now. Do you know what that means, it means that I carry a firearm with me. I haven't had a chance to shoot a person. So don't make me do it." And walked out of the warehouse.
I called a person I know in cybercrime and told Sarah's number and asked him to tap it for me. After that, I headed to the police department.
When I walked in, I saw the chief talking to Raphael about something.
The chief called out my name when i was about to sit in my place, i walked to him. The chief asked, "Did you get any information about the murderer?"
"Not yet, sir."
"Finish it soon. The person who died was one of the Pandora gang. We should finish this investigation as soon as possible before someone gets involved in it to stop us from further investigation.
"Yes, Sir."
After the chief left, Raphael asked me, "Want a coffee?"
"Yeah, I really need one."
Raphael and I picked up our coffee and while we're walking to the police station, I asked, "Do you have a girlfriend?"
He smiled and asked, "Why all of a sudden?"
"Because we never talked about it. I wonder what kind of friendship we had before without even sharing relationship status with each other." And chuckled and continued, "Do you have a girlfriend?"
"No. Not yet."
"Are you the type who waits for the right one?"
"Not like that. I haven't met someone I like yet."
"What about sex?"
He choked up the coffee and spit it out of his mouth which made me laugh at him.
"Looks like you're still a Virgin."
"I'm not."
"Then why did you react like that?"
"Because you asked it out of a sudden."
"Now that you heard it, tell me about your sex life."
"I have sex with random people I met in club."
"So cool. Do you have sex partners?"
"No. I don't like to be attached."
I nodded and asked, "Will you have sex with someone you know constantly even if you don't have feelings for them?"
"It depends on the sex."
"How?"
"Like being sweet means they have hidden feeling, when it comes to rough, that person only wants sex from you."
"What about having rough sex being sweet?"
"Is your friend like that?"
"What? No, I was just talking nonsense. Why did you think I was talking about him? No, no way. I'm not talking about him."
"It's obvious. So this friend of yours have sex but says doesn't love you, right?"
I nodded.
He continued, "And he takes care of you very well."
"Yeah."
"That guy is in love with you. Maybe he's afraid about something, that's why he's distancing himself from you."
"Really?"
He shrugged his shoulders and said, "I think so."
When we came to the police station, I went back to my desk and continued working on the file I worked on before.
When the clock striked 6 in the evening, I leaned back on the seat and looked at Raphael. He was working on something which looked serious. When I looked at him, I thought about what he said to me.
Is Ace concerned about our relationship? What is he afraid of? Is he thinking that I'll arrest him someday? I shoved away my nonsense thoughts and continued working in the system.
I heard noises in the room in the middle, so I asked Raphael, "What are they talking about so loud?"
He shrugged his shoulders and looked in the front.
Eduardo came and gave me a hug and said, "We solved the drug case."
"How?"
"We caught the person who's responsible for the drug illegal transfer."
Is he talking about Ace?
I stood up from my place and sksed, "Who did you arrest?"
"Didn't you hear me? The person who's responsible."
"What's his name?"
"He's in the interrogation room. He hadn't opened his mouth yet. Looks like a tightlipped one."
When I tried to go to the interrogation room, Eduardo stopped me and said, "Gabriel is investigating him. He asked me not to let anyone inside."
I finished my work and walked out of the police station. I made calls continuously to Ace but he didn't pick up. Why isn't he picking up my calls? Was he the one who's with Gabriel in the interrogation room?
No, that was not him. It must be someone else. Ace will be at home right now.
I took a cab and headed home. On the way, I hoped that the man they caught shouldn't be Ace.
After a while, I got down in front of my home. I opened the door and walked in and searched for Ace. He wasn't in the house? Does that mean they caught him?
While I was on the verge of crying, I saw Ace walk out of the kitchen holding a bowl in his hands.
I ran to him and hugged him tightly.
"Did you miss me that much?" He asked while hugging me back.
I started crying when he asked me.
"Are you crying?"
He broke the hug and made me look at him. He wiped my tears while asking, "Louisa, why are you crying? Did someone make you cry?"
I hugged him again and cried in his embrace.
He caressed my head and said, "Crybaby."
I said while being in his embrace, "At the station, while I was working, Eduardo gave me a hug and said that he caught the person behind the drug case and kept him in the interrogation room. I wished that it shouldn't be you. When you didn't pick up my calls, I got furious. Why didn't you take my call?"
"My phone died so I put it in charge. Hey, about the drug case, I…"
I closed his lips by placing my finger and said, "I don't want to hear anything about it. I'm glad that you're here. It's enough for me."
"Did you get scared?"
I nodded while he was holding my cheeks together.
"Can I kiss you to scare away those thoughts?"
I smiled at him and gave a nod.
He pressed his lips against mine and started kissing deep. While we're kissing, Ace parted from the kiss in the middle.
"What happened?"
When I looked at him, he didn't look at me, instead he was looking behind me. Where's he looking at? What's behind me?
When I turned around to take a look at where he was staring at, I saw Raphael standing in front of us. Raphael? When did he come?
