The year is 2023, and the world has been irrevocably altered. Abyss Gates erupted, unleashing monstrous creatures and dangerous dungeons onto Earth. Cities have become devastated battlegrounds, struggling to rebuild a precarious existence. In this transformed world, Hunters, characterized by their bravery, desperation, or sheer madness, stand as humanity's final defense and its emerging heroes. For everyone else, the sole focus is survival. This is where Fin enters the picture. He is not a Hunter and certainly no hero. He is simply Fin, a nineteen-year-old youth defined by his unkempt brown hair, a souvenir from a skateboarding accident that also left him with a chipped front tooth. His supposed ability, Absorption, is widely disregarded as completely ineffective. While the name conjures images of siphoning energy or stealing strength, Fin's actual experience with this power is quite different.
