Ken went to the house where Rose was kept and when one of the men positioned to keep an eye on her opened the door to the room where she was seated with her son he walked in.

"What are you and your master doing to me and to my child. Don't you think I will go to the police and report to them how your master killed my husband infront of me and my son?" she was shedding tears.

"You need to keep calm and wait for the arrival of the boss" said Ken. Just then Jude entered and asked, "Where is the boss?"

"He called, said he is on his way" said Ken.

"He calls you now before he calls me" Jude chuckled wickedly before leaving the room angrily. After he left Veronica stared at Ken for a while before she said, "I knew you from somewhere?"

"Ofcourse you do" he left the room as well. Veronica sat there and kept thinking loud, wondering where she had met him in the past. Just then the door flew open again and then Jude entered and asked Veronica, "What was the name of your fiancee?"

"Mr Kelvin" she said.

"What is the name of your son?" he asked further.

"Abel" she said.

"Who is the father of your son Abel, was it Mr Kelvin?" Asked Jude but Veronica shook her head. "That will be all" he wanted to walk out but Veronica asked, "What are you doing with the information?"

"The media needs to go to work immediately. Oh you do not know that information is power and he that knows how to use information is more powerful that the information itself. My Kelvin died due to armed robbery attack and it was his fiance that orchestrated the attack on him and that's why she is on the run" When Jude said this she rose to her feet with shock in her eyes and began to blast Jude. Jude left the room.

Rose was no longer sobbing when Charles entered being followed by Ken and he sat and spoke to Rose whose eyes had become reddened with tears.

"You need to know that there is nothing anyone can do about what has happened and then you need to also know that if there is anything you wish to say now is the time for you to say it" said Charles.

"Tell me Charles, what do you want me to say to you now; you want me to tell you of how your wicked act have caused me my life and everything that is so dear to me?" asked Rose. Charles shook his head and walked up to her and holding her hand he said, "Nothing will happen to you if you belong with me" she forcefully withdrew her hand and hated the fact that he touched her.

"Get your hand off me and leave!" she shouted at him. "You have ruined me, you have sold a lie to the media and they are now spreading fake news about me. Now they think I'm on the run because you killed Kelvin and made it look like I did and that after I did I ran away. You are evil Charles and you won't get at me with this" she promised.

"I will unless you want to spend the rest of your life in jail. Come of it Rose, you were brilliant and you can be brilliant again. You can decide to move with us the way you are supposed to move with us. You must not allow what other groups tell you about us get at you and make you think negatively about us" he said.

"Negatively about you. You don't need to tell me that because already I know that you are not someone to emulate. You are who you are because of what you are and it has nothing to do with what we believe in. If there is anything at all that must change then it must be and your family as you refer to them. You don't need to drag me into your mess again Charles. Me and my baby boy will walk away from here and that will be the end" She said and he chuckled and added, "You bet, now if you step away from here what happens to you outside? You be caught by the police and tried for murder" He wanted to walk away but stopped and turning he said, "You were going to continue in your bondage with him, with a man that beats you until you faint. You fainted while he was beating you, you fainted. You could have died if Ken hadn't come for your rescue. What did you do while he was being corrected you wanted to rush to him, he your saviour? then what am I? It is disgusting to see that you wanted to run back into the same arms that beat you. I could not stand there and watch that unfold hence I killed him. You will need to see the bright side of this and reconsider becoming a family else I will choose my family over you and believe me you won't get free from us or from the government" he then walked out.

"Boss is becoming annoying these days. I bet he wants to frustrate me, he wants to me angry or jealous or he wants to render me useless. Is it not obvious when he has made Ken superior over me?" Jude was saying as he was removing his cloth. It was night time and Shanty was in the house.

"What about your genuine businesses, I think you should make me you MD and look forward on focusing much more on the family business, who knows boss is thinking you are becoming too far away from the family and he can only trust Ken these days. If I were you I would get more closer to him and regain the trust I lost. He will trust you and entrust to you the essential things of the family just like he did in the past. I believe strongly in you and I know what you can do. Just get back on your feet dear and stop blaming yourself for the actions of the boss" She stood up and walked up to him, holding his face she kissed him. He kept looking at her. "What?" she wondered.

"You make sense" he left her and walked to the bar to serve himself some wine. She came along and sat with him. He served her a cup and sighed, sipping with eyes unfocused.

"What are you thinking now?" she wanted to know.

"Alot. I think you are right Shante" he said.

"Shanty, not Shante" she corrected him.

"I prefer to call you Shante, the sound is up and up, like elevated" he smiled.

"I understand your mood Jude, I truly do" she said.

"You call me babe this minute and next minute you are calling me Jude. You see, nothing romantic about the name Jude, there is no way you will put it to make it sound endearing in the ears" he said and almost laughed at himself. She smiled too.

"I can understand you love" she said and he smiled, held her hand and said, "I never thought a time would come when I will have to fall in love with someone like you. It beats my imagination" he said.

"Well, your boss is still on my neck and the family needs me" she said.

"You see, yours happened just like Anita's" said Jude.

"Who is she?" she asked.

"Anita?" he asked and she nodded. "Well, a lady that entered this city seeking for greener pastures until she met with the family. She did not want to be part of it but boss, boss has a way of making you desire what you don't want and when he does so he leaves you craving for same thing you never wanted more than you ever thought you would. He is a master planner and a trapper. I hate to say this but most times I think there is no one on earth who is as dangerous and as smart as boss"

"Whoo you now speak so highly of him" she said and laughed.

"No matter what happens he is still my boss and I will always look out for him. Now as it stands you have raised a point and yes I think that's a good idea; you will manage the boutique and the other visible and legal businesses while I take care of the illegal ones. Meanwhile you also need to know that my eyes are everywhere and I will have alot to do and see and know for me to trust you enough. So you see you have got alot to prove about yourself in these coming days. I hope you make me proud though" He ended. She held his hand and smiled mischievously before she said, "You see i think you are a perfect gentleman"

Days passed and Anita paid a visit to Mr White. She got to his apartment and seeing him coming out of his bedroom almost naked she stood at the door and kept watching him. He smiled having seen her suspicion walked up to her and said, "I'm not with anyone. Since you rejected me I decided to focus my mind on business and business only" he offered her a seat and she sat down without a word. Mr White then sat down and asked, "This visit, I hope there is no problem"

"Mr White, you are our inside man and yet you have a way of making me stress myself each time it comes to you doing your own side of the job that Boss brings to the table?" she was frustrated with him.

"I know I'm sluggish, I know I'm being too quite on my duty these days yet you need to be made to understand that the portion assigned me by boss is too heavy for me and there is no way I will be able to do all the work at the same time. Most times when I need you it is because I need to rectify some of the things boss has put on my table before I release them to him. He is a smart man, a very smart man and he is always ten steps ahead of everyone else, no matter where you are coming from or who you are"

"What do you mean?" asked Anita.

"You know I had told boss few weeks back of how I had arranged a Mexican to transport the remaining business to the US and suddenly the same Mexican made me understand he had talked with boss a day before I called him. I didn't actually get my head around it because this was my line, this was my business and I only informed boss of him thinking he would be hearing of it for the first time. Well it turned out that boss was actually going to know if I was going to call him for the shipping or someone else, since I told him already that the channel would be coming from Mexico. I am so much troubled whenever I sit with boss because if I want to speak A I only fear he had already reached to Z and back to A to wait for me there"

"You are scared Mr White and because you are scared it shows in everything you do. This same fear made you loose your stand with boss. Well I am here to make you an offer since everything mustn't go through boss" she said and waited to see his reaction.

"What do you mean?" asked Mr White.

"I'm talking about fifty million dollars into your treasure home if you could do this business with me on a low key" Anita said.
