Jude got off the bed and Shanty wanted to know where he was heading to that early morning.
"I have to meet with the boss. Stay in the house. Whatever you need is here. I repeat stay in the house" He then hastily dressed up and left the house. When he walked outside he saw that his subordinate Ken was already waiting for him.
"What is it Ken?" He asked as he entered the car and Ken closed the door and mounted on the driver's seat.
"The boss wants to see you; something he would like you to handle" Said Ken.
"That's okay" Jude said as they drove, heading to the basement.

"I'm sorry, today is Saturday and it was just yesterday you offered me the gift. I'm sorry this happened" said Veronica who had to go to Charles's house after she was robbed alongside her friend Anita in her house the night before.
"I'm sorry about that. Where is your friend Anita now?" asked Charles.
"She had to go home this morning. I wanted her to come see you with me but she was still under the shock of the robbery. I'm so sincerely sorry for this my boss" Pleaded Veronica.
"It isn't your fault that it happened. It's not your fault. Come with me" Said Charles and Veronica stood up at once and followed with him. They headed to the car and when they stepped out men in suit were already waiting. One of them opened the car door to let Mr Charles in. Charles entered and Veronica also hopped in. They were heading to the basement.
Inside the basement Jude stepped out of the torture chamber and spoke to Ken, "What is this?"
"She is here under the order of the boss" said Ken.
"What did she do?"
"I don't know, but I think it has to do with the company" said Ken.
"The company?" Jude was still asking when it was announced that Mr Charles had arrived the basement and was heading in with Veronica. Veronica was looking about her because she had not been to that place before.
"Where is this place Sir?" asked Veronica.
"One of my apartments" said Charles as he continued to walk into the basement, seeing Ken and Jude coming up to greet and welcome him.
"This place doesn't look like an apartment. It looks like a warehouse" said Veronica as she continued to look about her.
"Jude" Charles and Jude saluted him.
"Boss" said Jude as he greeted him politely.
"You saw the package?" asked Charles.
"Yes boss, yet I didn't know what is expected of me" said Jude.
"She stole the wristwatch damn it!. Make her tell you the truth. I don't want to have to kill her" Said Mr Charles. Jude looked at Veronica before he bowed his head and told Ken to follow him. Both men left Charles standing there with Veronica.
"What is happening?" asked Veronica.
"The the one that took the wristwatch. We have her and we have to also make sure she names her accomplices else I will have to kill her myself" said Charles as he walked away from her. She followed him immediately. When Charles turned to look at her and saw she was following him he said, "Are you sure you want to keep following me? I think it better if you could stay a distance" He said but Veronica shook her head and continued to follow him.
Charles shook hands with a white man and collected a briefcase from him, handing him an envelope in return. Another man with the white man collected the envelope and opening it shook his head.
"What's this?" asked the white man.
"What's what?" asked Charles. The white man brought out his gun and pointed it towards his forehead. At that point Veronica nearly shouted as she covered her face. She could only hear the voice of Charles as he spoke to the white man.
"What are you doing?" Charles was asking.
"What are you doing, I should ask you" said the white man.
"You should put your gun down while you still can. You can't possibly shoot me here and except to leave here alive. If there is a misunderstanding we can sought it out right here and now" Said Charles. The white man put his gun down and shook his head. Charles drew his own gun and shot him and his partner to the ground. At this point Veronica screamed and covered her ears and face, squatting on the floor. The two men fell dead on the floor. Jude has already returned to the scene and seeing what had happened was dumbfounded.
"You killed Mr White?" asked Jude. Charles handed the gun he used on Me White and his partner to Jude and said, "Clean up this mess Jude and what has become the outcome of your interrogation?" he asked.
"The lady refuses to speak" said Jude.
"You are pitying her Jude. You are growing softer each passing day" Charles spoke and then left the both of them there and headed into the torture chamber. Jude looked at Veronica who was now standing and shedding tears and said, "Your first time being here?" she nodded. "You are shocked?" she nodded again. "Why the tears. You haven't seen blood before?" he asked further and she didn't answer. Go with him"
"With who?" asked Veronica.
"With the boss" said Jude.
"He is heading into the inner chamber of this warehouse, what else is he up to? I would rather go back home" said Veronica.
"If boss brought you here then he has something he wants to show you" said Jude.
"I have seen enough" said Veronica.
"It's a privilege you are brought here. Not everyone in the company has been here" said Jude.
"I would have preferred being one of those that don't get to be here to see this gory sight" Veronica was saying and Jude chuckled. They were still talking when they heard a loud scream from inside the inner chamber of the basement and Veronica thought she recognised the owner of that voice.
