"Long time no see, pureblood. I've been awaiting your arrival for ten years." Master said, with a lot of his minions behind him
"Hurry, go." She yelled.
"What about you?"
"Hurry."She said and Yiannais panicked as he took to his heels.
She had to ensure Yiannais' safety before she could fight freely.
"At last, we meet. Master."
She could sense a tremendous amount of pressure, which felt like it could destroy the whole place. But it didn't matter. She was going to end him today.
"Attack." Master ordered and two of his minions raced towards her.
"You all know this isn't going to affect me, right?" She asked as she took them by their mouth and stomped them on the ground.
"Those of you who are like this, call yourselves vampires too?" She scoffed, referring to the dissipating vampires.
Her thumping heart felt like it was going to burst and a part of her wanted her to finish this quickly, but she wasn't. She was slowly going to take her time.
"Is it right? Were you the ones who killed my parents? And ordered the death of Father Michael?"
"Is there a reason you asked that? Or perhaps, you wanted to confirm it one more time?" Master asked and she clenched her fist. She was dying to see the face behind the mask.
"There's a reason I haven't killed you yet. Do you wanna know why? 0101 project...Did you turn the people into vampires in order to carry it out?...Or do you want my heart, to become stronger?"
Master laughed. "You'll soon know what 0101 project is...I've been dying to know...if your heart is tastier than your parents."
"Motherfucker." Zuriña screamed and five vampires lurched towards her, and she took out their hearts in a couple of minutes.
Master raised his hand and a couple of vampires raced towards her.
Did he want to keep pressuring her with those vampires? Fine, the more the better.
She raised her hand as they neared and they paused on seeing what she was about to do.
"What? Sahan's hypnotic technique?"One asked and she snapped her fingers.
"Remove your hearts."
To her surprise, none of the vampires were hypnotized and she was still wondering why it didn't work, when Master burst into laughter.
"A pure-blooded vampire doing futile things with powers that had just been discovered."
"What?" She frowned.
"It won't be effective because the power of a pureblood can be blocked by another pureblood replied.
"So you don't want to accept my mercy?"
"Mercy?"
"She's gone loco."A vampire said and others lurched towards her.
"Then, you'll be sorry, because you'll die with excruciating pain." She said, sweeping an arm in front of them and blood splashed her arm the next minute as their bodies dropped dead.
One of them took out a pistol and aimed at her. "Even if you're a pureblood, you wouldn't be able to stop this."
She wanted to laugh. "Are you kidding me, right now? Trying various ways until you want to use cheap tricks like this?"
"Then, test it out. You'll see."
"Stop messing around, just because you're a vampire, doesn't mean you can be so arrogant." She said and made to attack when the man fired.She blocked the bullet with her arm and was shocked the bullet had gone through, instead of leaving her harmless.
Pain shot through her arm,the next minute and she felt her arm melting from the inside, even faster than her recovery speed. She needed time.
Other vampires slipped out their guns on seeing their method had worked and her eyes widened.How could she avoid this?
"This will be a good sensation." Master chuckled and the men fired.
She closed her eyes in anticipation of what was to come when she felt someone block her and was pushing her to the floor the next second and her eyes flew open to see Yiannais over her again.
"Riña, are you okay?"He asked.
No. He had taken the bullets for her.
"Yiannais, are you crazy? Have you forgotten how dangerous it is out here? Why are you..."
"It's okay. At least, you're safe."
She felt something wet touch her stomach and she looked down to see blood seeping down. She sat up immediately and her eyes were greeted with bullet holes on his back. "Yiannais, no...I need to treat your wound." She stuttered,not even knowing where to start.
"I'm fine, this is nothing...Hurry up and defeat Master. You have to kill him today..." His voice trailed off as he turned to his back and she knelt over him, tears in her eyes.
"Why did you come here, even when I told you to go?"
Tears rose in his eyes as he raised a hand to cup her cheek. "I wanted to ease some of your sufferings even if it's just a little."
"What?"
"Even though you're a vampire, I'm sure you feel the same pain as normal humans...Don't bear this alone..."
"No. Yiannais,stop..." She cried. There was no way she could watch him die. She couldn't.
"And I've been hoping...to be that kind of person for you...someone...you can rely on." His hand slowly trailed down her face and dropped to the ground with a thud.
"Yiannais...Yiannais..." She screamed, her veins popping out of her neck.
"This is just a test. To enjoy tasty food, the necessary ingredients must also go through a process. Today, you'll be perfect." Master said and she scrapped her claws on the ground before rising.
"Why did it have to be like this? If you wanted my heart, you could have just come to me...Test? She said, her blue eyes brightened up in the dark.
"Zuriña, wait..." Kaiwan screamed as he ran towards the scene, but she was too mad to listen as she jumped to attack him.
