In the morning Sujata was unable to face Raj. She was feeling embarrassed and guilty about what had happened between them.
"Please don't feel embarrassed or ashamed we haven't committed any crime, we are adults and are in love. Whatever had happened between us last night was with our consent." Raj came near her and hugged her in the assurance that he will not leave her.
"This society doesn't endorse it before marriage. They judge a woman's morality with it." Sujata sighed a little and snuggled into his chest.
" Don't worry I will talk to ma and convince her for our marriage as early as possible," Raj assured her of his truthfulness.
After their brief conversation, they both got ready as Sujata didn't have anything appropriate to wear. Raj dropped her to the quarter then drove off to his office.
The moment he enters he finds his staff waiting for his arrival surrounding his table.
"Good morning sir." They all said in unison.Ram uncle ( an elder staff working from my dad's time )
came near me and handed me a large bouquet.
"Congratulations beta(son) god bless you both." His eyes were brimmed with happy tears. Raj bowed to take his blessing.
"Thanks to everyone, I think we should get back to work. " He passed a smile to the staff. After everyone left he decided to call his mother and inform her about his proposal.
"Hello, ma! How are you and Simmi?"
"We are fine now, tell did Sujata agree," Rajini asked enthusiastically
"Your son is a charmer ma. Yes, she agreed. I'm so happy I want to get married as soon as possible. I can't wait, I'm on cloud nine ." Raj was blabbering happily.
"I never knew that my son was so eager to get married. I will talk to Panditji (holy men) and ask for a suitable date for marriage." She chuckled. "Today I have received the pictures you had sent me. She is really pretty. Let me disconnect so that I can talk to patient ji and get my overenthusiastic son married." She disconnected the call with a satisfactory smile.
A blush crept on Raj's face hearing his mother's tease. Just then Sujata entered with another beautiful bouwers which was given to her by her colleagues.
"wow! you are on time I just talked to ma about our marriage. She is very happy today, she will talk to pandit ji about a suitable date. "An over ecstatic Raj told Sujata. She was blushing profusely. Her face was glowing with happiness. She was looking so cute. Raj got up from his chair and hugged her.
The final date was fixed just after fifteen days so Raj's ma asked him to come to Darjeeling for preparation. He wanted to take Sujata with him but she didn't go as she had some work. Although Raj was reluctant to leave her, she forced him to go alone.
After 5 days she joined Raj in all the preparations. Raj's mother and sister were quite happy to meet Sujata. They were quite impressed by her.
"Bhabhi you are absolutely a beauty with a brain."Simmi lovingly stated.
"You are flattering me, Sim, I," Sujata said, smiling. Her heart leapt with joy, hearing praise from everyone.
"I'm not flattering you, it is the truth." Simmi hugged her bhabi. "You are the best gift Bhai ever gave."
Everyone got busy with the preparations.
Time passed quickly and it was the day of the wedding. The mansion was beautifully decorated with lights and flowers. Raj was sitting like a prince and was eagerly waiting for his bride.
As Sujata was an orphan Raj's father's friend was childless, vouched for Sujata and we're willing
to perform all the rituals for the bride.
Suddenly the music transformed, announcing the arrival of the bride.
She was looking pretty in her wine colour lehenga and traditional jewellery. All dolled up she was looking like an angel descended from heaven. Everyone was admiring her beauty.
Raj was flabbergasted on seeing Sujata. As soon as she reached the stage, Raj got up and came near her, took her hand and helped her to the stage. Simmi handed them the rose garland and they exchanged their garland. . After which the rituals started the sphere and vows were taken. Raj applied sindoor in her hair parting and tied a mangalsutra with which they became husband and wife.
,"Everything is over, both of you get up and take the blessings of the elder," Panditji asked them after pronouncing them, husband and wife.
When they were at the entrance Rajini stopped them for griha Pravesh a ritual performed before the bride enters her new home).
"What is this ma, she was in this house before marriage, why this?" Raj looked confused and agitated.
" it is necessary beta because now she is entering as my daughter in law. Apply this on your palm and put it on the wall. After that put your feet on this bowl filled with coloured water and come in making your footprints on the floor." Rajini explained everything to Sujata.
After the rituals, Simmi took her to their room. When Raj was about to enter, he saw Simmi standing on the door frame, "If you want to go in the room then give me a gift." Simmi stood on the door frame keeping hands on either side.
"What a gift.? I won't give you a gift. This is my room and I will get in " Raj showed fake anger to Simmi. His lips curved into a small smile. After arguing and irritating for some time, Raj hands her gift and she moves aside. The room was beautifully decorated with scented candles and flowers. Sujata was inside the room sitting on the bed. Raj reached near the bed and kept on looking at the mesmerizing beauty in front of him.
Suddenly Sujata comes near ", hey can I go and change as I'm feeling quite uncomfortable in this dress " Hearing her voice his trance was broken. "You may change, if you need any help, I can help you." He spoke with an evil grin on his face.
Sujata felt heat rushing to her face and can feel her face must be redder than red colour.
She rushed to the washroom. By the time she came out Raj had showered in the other washroom. He was looking handsome, freshly showered, his wet hair was messy, water droplets were dripping.
" Take a picture, it will last longer." He came near her and whispered in her ears sending a tingling sensation in her body. She felt something on her neck. Before she concluded what it was, Raj pulled her in front of a mirror. She was wearing a chain with a pendant having initials.
He lifted her in bridal style and laid the er on the bed. His touches were sending shivers down her spine. His large frame encircled her petite frame. They kissed each other as if devouring their favourite food. The night was spent exploring each other's bodies.
