Reclaiming His Luna Chapter 38

Ethan

I have been foolish. Foolishly foolish. Yet again, I watched Aurora walk away from a situation I could have salvaged within seconds. Not quite but, still.

What the hell was wrong with me?

My head was a total mess. One second I was accepting that Tiffany was right for me and another minute I was blurting out to Aurora that I wanted her to marry me. I have been this indecisive in my life.

I knew I wanted her. Deep down in my soul, I could feel it in my bones. She was my mate and I wanted her to be mine.

But then choosing her was not a good idea for the pack. Tiffany was the perfect idea, it was what everybody wanted. I was caught in between giving the pack what they want or giving myself what I want.

It was crazy how I couldn't shake off the sense of deja Vu, it felt like this had happened before and truly it had. Then I had to pick between Isadora and Aurora, I had to pick between between the pack's want and my want. I had pleased the pack by choosing Isadora and hurting Aurora deeply.

Now, I was still choosing, choosing between Tiffany and Aurora. Will I please the pack again this time? Why were things so complicated?

I sighed and turning back into the house. I understood that Aurora must be overwhelmed by my out of the blue request and I wanted to let her be… temporarily of course. Besides, I needed to be with my family at this fragile moment. I walked into the damp atmosphere with only the sound of Hadria crying, she was a very emotional girl and considering her close relationship with our dad, I couldn't blame her.

Immediately she saw me, she ran towards me and engulfed her in a hug. Her crying increased as she tried to talk;

“Mum.. mumm s..says dad is go..going to…” I couldn't let her finish because I know what she was going to say so I interrupted her.

“No, Dad is going to be fine. Don't say that okay?” I patted her on her back slowly to comfort her then I raised my head to frown at my mother who had a forlorn look on her face while she watched us.

“Mum, come on, are we still doing this? We need to be positive” I urged, getting frustrated at how quickly she was giving on her husband's health.

“You and I both know it, so what's the point of sugarcoating it. Your father is at the end of his life and the only way forward now is producing an heir. We have wasted too much time already, I have told you this times without number or is it when this virus plague takes me too that you would understand?” her words touched a nerve in me and my nose flared in anger.

“Mother! I don't like you talking like this at all… you or dad are going no where."

I was boiling in anger and I felt Hadria flinch. In as much as I knew what Mom was talking about, I didn't understand why my mother was being so negative. The pack needed heir and I have promised to give it. I had no option but to.

I still considered myself strong and capable so there was enough time to produce an heir, why was she so much in a rush?

“Keep your voice down, your father is resting." Mom said in a lie voice. She looked at the sleeping body of her husband then back at me before continuing,

"And just so you know, boy, I don't fear you. I am your mother who carried you in my womb and birthed you. If I didn't produce you, you wouldn't be standing here with power and authority. I am not going to sit down and watch you miss an opportunity to produce another into power too. And since you refused to act fast, I'm going to do it for you” she said, a strain in her voice as she spoke.

I groaned tiredly, I was beginning to get sick of this conversation. I still couldn't understand what she wanted me to do.

“But what do you want me to do again mother? I have picked a girl and we have finalized to get married, I have followed your instructions but you are still not satisfied." I expressed my frustrations to her.

Mother sighed, almost as if she was struggling to not facepalm herself disappointment. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I waited for her to speak.

“Have you done anything with her yet?” she asked in a quiet but irritated voice.

My eyebrows furrowed even deeper, “Done what? With whom?”

“Gracious goddess, this boy." Mom walked to me took me by the arm and half dragged me out of the room. "Do I have to explain everything to you? I mean HAVE YOU FUCKED TIFFANY YET?”

This time she couldn't hold it in, her voice was loud and almost shaking from frustration and desperation.

Hadria gasped and my eyes widened in shock. I wasn't unfamiliar with those words but, I was surprised to hear such raw words from Mother.

"Mother." Hadria called as she closed the door to Dad's ward with a soft click.

Mom rolled her eyes and said without missing a beat, “Answer the damn question, Ethan."

I was still in shock about Mom's seriousness. Reluctantly, I turned my eyes to Hadria and she understood the message I was passing almost immediately and with a nod, she slowly back away from that room.

With Hadria gone, I looked back at Mother. looked unbothered about the fact that I wasn't comfortable with her words. instead she stared back with a look that said she was still waiting for my answer to her ridiculous question.

“No. Okay, no. I kissed her once. Or twice I can't recall but I haven't laid with her yet." I blurted out with a sigh. I have never thought of being intimate with Tiffany, at least not yet. But, heavens! Have i thought of doing it over and over again with that sexy doctor?

“I’m not surprised” My mother hissed, she looked even angrier than before.

She didn't even let me process what she meant before she said, “Get ready, you are getting married in ten days.” and then she stormed out of the room.
