ZACK’S POV
Both me and Noah were so outraged by each other that we had such an extreme loath which was enough to make us take each other’s life. Noah had his arms tightly clenched on my collars and he gave me a death stare and I gave him the same.
“How dare you forget you place daddy? Don’t think that I’ll be too loving on you by going easy" he hissed at me with all his loath and using all my strength, I caught his throat.
“I don’t need your easiness freak. I still have no idea why am even talking to a coward like you” I contemptuously snarled at him.
“Who the fuck do you think I’m daddy?? You don’t even know me” my words hit right on his ego and he fumed at me.
“I know exactly who you are Noah. A man who is coward enough to try all his nasty tactics to get me out of his way when I show no threat to him. It's all you fear Noah, it's all your fear and I know that this hate of you for me is your fear for me overpowering you in the tracks” I freed his collar and scoffed at him with a smirk. I wanted to show the reality to him because he was growing up to be such a nuisance to me.
My reaction did have an impact on Noah who was shocked by how I confronted him like that. All his minions were also standing flabbergast behind him. A very creepy silence swept between us and no one knew what had to be done to ease it up. Noah was burning in ego of being taunted like that and I loathed on him for doing whatever he did with me.
“What the hell is going on in here?” suddenly, Mr. Christopher popped up in the store and witnessed the brawl.
“It’s nothing serious Mr. Christopher. We were just talking” Mike tried to excuse the situation.
However, mine and Noah’s condition clearly showed Mr. Christopher what was actually going on there and from his expressions, I knew that was it. Obviously in some moments, I was going to lose my job which didn’t even last in my hands for more than a day. What a wonderful fate of mine!!!!!
“The talking that happened is clearly evident boys. You know that such talking won’t be tolerated in the store. Hence, to avoid it, it's better to find another job” without a chance, he fired me.
I sighed helplessly while Noah and his minions smirked at us. After giving both me and Mike a victorious smirk, they contemptuously laughed at us.
“Ah, what a fantastic day it is for me. This is what happens when you mess with me” Noah and his minions laughed hard at me.
“You done? Cuz there nothing else you can do other than all than all these. Why don’t you try to grow up?” I was hella pissed at him and mocked him.
“Nah, don’t need a baby to grow up” he mocked me back.
Luckily, before I raised my hands on him again, Mike stopped me and soon enough, the boys left from the store. Christopher gave me a wide gaze as if he was waiting for us to leave too and without a word, I fumed out of the store.
“Dude, I know its heck for you to go through all these. But do that it's your life and not their so don’t take their words hard” Mike tried to console me from the words of Noah and his minions.
“Buddy, I know but I’m not made of rock and stones to not have feelings. Every day, these bullshits creep my head so freaking crazily that I contemplate my life the way it is” I shared my weight with Mike.
“I can understand you pretty well. Teenage life sucks and above all that, people like Noah tend to make our life a living hell. Who else than me and Zoe can relate so much to you” Mike smiled a dull smile at me.
“I still wonder why you are so underrated man. I swear you deserve more” I had to tell him this.
“I know. I tend to keep it low profile. Not everyone is lucky to have me” he smirked braggingly and it le me laugh out.
“So, let's go on a hunt to find another job?” he put his shoulders around me and lifted up my spirits high.
“I guess I too need to go low profile so that that asshole doesn't get another chance to kick me out” I thought twice about how to free myself from Noah.
“Oh, it just lit my head. Dude, if you are ready to work online, why don’t you try some freelancing?” suddenly, Mike’s head lit with an idea.
“Like what? I don’t have such special skills” I asked him nervously. I seriously had no other talents other than athletics and I did have no idea what else I could work with!!!!
“It’s not rocket science Zack. Let's see what we can find” he supported me with hope and I sighed a deep one.
“You are the thunder Mike” I gave him a fist bump out of excitement and he winked braggingly at me.
“Ha....what next? What to do till evening?” after sorting it all out, he asked me about a plan.
“Why don’t we take Lee for a walk? It's been too long I spend some quality time with him” I asked him.
“That’s perfect. Zoe would also love to do that. She has always been crazy about dogs” Mike euphorically agreed to the plan and we made our way back home.
On reaching home, the first thing I saw was Caroline sitting in the porch with Lee who was not at all liking to go near her. The second she came into my sight, my nerves raged in frustration because she was not at all able to keep one little thing in the dark!!! It wasn’t only for me but for her also because after knowing the high school kids of Beverly hills, the one thing I knew was they were merciless bitches craving for spicy things to gossip on. Mostly, a typical town high school where students had nothing else to focus on other than someone else’s life.
“Please don’t tell me you’re gonna fire the hell fire at her” Zoe joined us at my house and my face flashed up like a 1000W bulb.
“Now that you’re here, I don’t think there a need for it” I turned to her and like lighting which strikes on a rainy day, her eyes mesmerized me. What the heck was happening to me???
Up on seeing me, Lee left Caroline alone and dodged to me like a bullet and threw himself on me. He started licking me all over my face and nothing on the world could make me come back home like he did!!!
“Zack, thank God you’re here. I don’t know what happened to him but he has been barking at me nonstop since today morning” Caroline came to me complaining about Lee.
“He might have found your real face I guess” Mike muttered in a low tone which was only audible to me and Zoe. We looked at him surprised by his comment and was able to hardly control our chuckles!!!
“Did you say something?” Caroline frowned at him and he nodded a no.
“Maybe he’s angry at you from my side for breaking the pregnancy news so carelessly. Thanks to you that now Noah got a weapon to use against me” I calmly snarled at her wanting her to take it pretty damn seriously.
“I’m so sorry for that Zack. The girls were teasing me so much for my glow and us getting back together that I accidentally unveiled it to them. I didn’t know that it would get so serious” she apologized to me with her head weighed down.
“OfCourse, you don’t know anything Caroline. At least when someone tells you not to do something, try not to do that” Zoe snapped at Caroline.
“You don’t need to get in between us Zoe” stunned by her reaction, Caroline hissed at Zoe.
“Don’t dare to use that tone again with her or Mike ever again Caroline” infuriated by her ego, I resented her.
“I know they mean to more than me but please try to understand me” with teary eyes she told me.
“Caroline, I’m done understanding your damns. Now, you listen to me. Before you came to this town, I had already got a lot of fans who are freaking into making my life a hell. Now when things were finally calming down somehow, you are the one who are adding fuel to it ‘UNKNOWINGLY’. So, stop doing thing be it unknowingly or accidentally. Or else I won’t be able to survive here throughout the final year” I gave her my answer and all three of them looked at me appallingly.
Yeah sure, none ever imagined me going such a ruthless bad boy but Noah’s growing craziness was making me insane. From here on, this was going to be my approach towards anyone who was going to hinder in my peace.
“Don’t you think you took it too far Zack?” Zoe whispered to me seeing Caroline ready to burst.
“Zoe, I'm pretty done with wrapping up all her accidents which cost me a lot of things. Her being a mommy to my child doesn’t mean that I will let her be the old Caroline she was. I love our baby dearly and I’m not ready to let anyone slam our baby for any matter” I told her my reasons and it was valid that they accepted me except Caroline.
“I know that I’m a careless little piece of shit but that doesn’t mean that I’m not trying to do it” tears rolled down her eyes and yes, now I felt sympathy for her.
“Now that the bomb has been dropped, I will have to face the consequences. Caroline, at least now understand what your actions cost me and be much more careful when doing something” this time I warned her in a much lighter tone. Her face had turned red in embarrassment of being scolded in front of Mike and Zoe.
“Come here” I called her to give her a hug and she came into my arms running.
But what astonished me the most was how my eyes were fixed on Zoe’s face and my heart beat on her expressions. Even though Caroline was in my arms, my soul was looking at Zoe interpreting what was going on. Infact, this moment made me feel too much connected with Zoe because, I hugged Caroline because of my responsibility towards her. However, what my heart wanted was something else and Zoe’s nervous expressions hit me straight. Why was she feeling so nervous and awkward out of the blue?? And why was I dragged towards her when I had my girl with me???? What was happening was out of anyone’s understanding and who knew it was soon going to get more confusing?????
