After the Execution of Meredith after she had tried to poison Bella, Bella’s body had been weak for days but last night was the worst, she slept in the night and couldn’t wake up in the morning, she had to be rushed to the hospital for special treatment.
Late in the evening, Bella opened her to find a pair of eyes watching her,
“What happened” she asked trying to stand up.
“You passed out” Alpha Coast answered.
“My head hurts” she exclaimed and he picked up a towel dipped in cold water and placed it on her head.
“How do you feel now?” He asked after five minutes to know if she could still feel the pain.
“Do you expect a towel of cold water to take away pains, I said I was in pains not that I have a fever” she replied harshly,
He slightly touched her head and transferred the pain to himself.
“Better?” He questioned despite her rude behavior earlier.
“Yes, I am fine.
What did you do?” She could swear that she felt like half of her pain was gone.
“I took your pain” he answered, this was one of the skills he had but it only applied to the people he loved the most.
“Can you also take away the pain in my heart” she asked with a face of indifference.
He could she was angry at him for taking away her freedom by making her stay with him but he had no other choice than to do that or else next time he might find her dead.
“No, that is your burden” he replied, she was actually getting on his nerves by acting harshly with him, was it a crime to protect her and take care of her.
“Even when you are the one who caused it” she replied coldly.
Alpha Coast had no more words to say, he knew she would never forgive him for what he had done and planned on living with it for the rest of his life but he atleast wished she could try to understand that he was suffering inside.
“You should have just let me die when you had the chance” she added making him feel more pain from her words. She closed her eyes and rested her back on the pillow breathing slowly.
“Brother” Fred called out to him from outside and Bella immediately grabbed his hand. Alpha Coast was startled by her fast reaction.
“May I come in Brother” Fred asked standing by the door.
“Come in” Alpha Coast answered and the door was open.
“How are you doing Bella?” Fred inquired, he had heard the news about her health and the sudden attack on her by one of the omegas.
“I am okay” she smiled.
“I can see that brother is taking good care of you” Fred noticed her hands intertwined with his.
“He is” she kissed his hand,
Her acting was top notch that Alpha Coast was dazzled by it again, he wished his brother was here all the time for her to display her affection.
She laid her head on his shoulders and closed her eyes.
“Brother are you slipping, how can you allow this to happen to her. What if she had died?
She is the only source of happiness you have since childhood, don’t you dare lose her” Fred warned making Bella wonder what happened in his childhood days.
“The matter has been dealt with, don’t worry Fred no one would dear to attack her, I have already sent a warning to anyone who would dare to do such thing again” Coast answered him.
“Bella, please forgive him for his short comings, he has promised it would never happen again” Fred pleaded, he looked so lovable that Bella couldn’t help but laugh at his childish behavior. He was so much different from Alpha coast and knew how to brighen the mood.
“I have already forgiven him” she answered.
“There you have it Coast, you can thank me later for that” Fred turned around and left feeling he had done a good job for his brother by making his mate forgive him. He closed the door and left.
Once the door was sealed shut Bella shifted from Alpha Coast like he was a plague that needed to be stayed away from.
“How much do you hate me?” He asked her,
“Much more than you can ever imagine” she frowned, his presence alone was making her more angry than she was before.
“Are you ever going to forgive me?” He asked again.
“Never” she answered him.
“Good, I don’t care how much you hate me but I will never let you go.
You will always be stuck with me” he said with a face of indifference, she had hurt him so much in just a few hours that he couldn’t just turn a blind eye to it, he may want her to love him but he wouldn’t want her to think that he was weak because of her.
“Get out” she barked at him.
“I said get out” she threw the pillow on him and he walked away slamming the door behind him.
Taking a long walk back to the castle, Alpha Coast mind-linked Beta Arthur,
“Bring your mate with you to my office” he ordered.
Eliane and Beta Arthur sat in front of Alpha Coast, he could smell Eliane’s fear and wondered why she was that scared of him.
“Why didn’t you tell me that you found your mate?” He went straight to the point, he felt like Beta Arthur had something to hide about her that was why he kept quiet.
“You had a lot on your mind the day I tried to tell you so I was waiting for the right moment” Beta Arthur replied truthfully, he knew that Coast could tell when he was lying sometimes and refused not to do that.
Alpha Coast was mute for moment then he spoke,
“What is your name?” He asked.
“Elaine” Beta Arthur replied.
“If you speak one more time for her then I will throw you out the window” he threatened making his beta keep quiet.
“My name is Elaine, Alpha” she answered with shaky hands,
Arthur held her hands signifying that she was not alone.
“Which pack are you from?” he asked,
Elaine took a little time before answering him, she had heard about what happened to the refugees who escaped to this pack from shelter, how he had brutally killed them all without batting an eye.
“The silver lake pack” she answered trembling that he might cause a scene.
“She is from our enemy pack” he blurted and Arthur took a defensive stance to protect his mate from an attack he thought would be coming from the Alpha.
“Relax Arthur, by the fingers you can tell she had suffered enough being an omega, I have no issues with her because she is your mate” Coast stated.
“But the next time you hide something from me again, you will be punished” he said.
Arthur was in shock by how he knew his mate was an omega in her former pack when he didn’t know about that,
Alpha Coast saw the shock on his face and realized he didn’t know that too.
“You didn’t ask about her past?” He questioned.
“She wasn’t willing to tell me” Arthur answered, they had completely forgotten that Elaine was still seated there listening to them talk.
“She is not just scared of me, she is scared of every Alpha” Coast continued.
He turned back to Elaine,
“You are free to stay in this pack and you don’t need to be scared of me unless you did something wrong, if I cannot punish you then I would punish your mate Arthur for your crimes. Keep that in mind” he strolled out on the two mates back in his office.
“Why didn’t you tell me” Beta Arthur asked her.
“I thought you wouldn’t want me after you found out the truth” she answered sincerely, she had never thought she would be mated to a man of such a high status much worse a beta which was a second in command to the Alpha, he may have shown how much he loved her from the first time they met but she couldn’t just spill the beans about her identity in fear.
“That is total bullshit, I would have accepted you irrespective of who you are” he held her hand in his rubbing them softly.
