Gamma Lucian strolled by the border of the Red moon pack when he saw a lady walking towards him.
She was damn gorgeous that he couldn’t take his eyes off her, her long brown hair, beautiful blue eyes, perfect body all drew him in, he couldn’t believe he had actually found her, the girl from his dreams always calling out to him to save her. She moved closer to him and her scent was much stronger, it was the most intoxicating raspberry scent he had ever inhaled.
“Excuse me, is this the Red moon pack” she asked him,
There was something off about her and he noticed it, she didn’t feel anything for him like it didn’t if he was standing there or not when he was struggling to keep himself at bay.
“Mate” his wolf recognized her as their own,
“She is human” he replied back.
The lady walked past him, he stretched his hands and caught hers, he could feel the tingles in his body, she turned her eyes to his and he instantly froze. Being a human, she still had such effect on him .
“Can I help you?” She asks questionably and he let go of her hand,
“I’m sorry, which pack are you from?” He asked, this was the only way to strike a conversation with her and he wished to know more about her aside from guessing that she was just human.
“Greyshade pack, my uncle sent me here” she answered with a softer tone,
Lucian loved her mild and sweet voice, it sounded like melody he had never heard before.
“Do you have a place to stay or a relative you are visiting?” He asked again and she raised her brows in question.
“Sadly I don’t, I am new here, do you know of any place I could lodge” she requested.
Being blessed by the moon goddess for such scenario, he strolled with her to a house he owned just close to the castle, he wanted to be closer to her and monitor her.
Opening the door, she casually walked in,
“This is nice” she said admiring the place, she placed her bag on the counter and looked around.
“You can stay here for as long as you want” he said and she gazed at him understanding a few things.
“This place is yours right” she asked.
Lucian was startled by how quick-witted she was, she seemed to know more than any other human could possibly know.
“Yes” he nodded his head in response, he watched her walked into the room, a few of his things were still there and he wasn’t ready to take them out.
“It has a manly touch, I can change a few things here if you don’t mind” she requested and he agreed.
He wondered what she would turn the room into but he hoped it wouldn’t be something he hated.
“I’m sorry to ask, have we met before?” He said.
Lucian has seen her countless times in his dreams and he wanted to know if she also had the same dreams about him.
“I don’t think so” she answered smiling at him, he could feel his heart beat faster just by seeing her smile.
“If you need anything you can tell me” he wished he could stay with her, she was his damn mate but not being a wolf made it harder to him to be noticed. He had to take things slow with her or she might think he is just a pervert.
“The place already has everything but if I do need something then I won’t hesitate to tell you,
Would you be visiting often since this is your house?”
Gamma Lucian was unsure on how to answer the question, he wanted to see her everyday but he couldn’t show that to her.
“I will visit on the weekends or if I happen to pass by” he said and she nodded her head not uttering anything back though he expected an answer.
There was an awkward silence between them as they kept staring at the each other, as much as Lucian wanted to behold her beautiful face he had to leave to not impose on her.
“I will leave you to rest now” he phrased giving a light smile on his face and then walked away, when he got to the door, he remembered something so he rushed back to her, his jaw dropped when he saw breast while she took off her clothes.
“I’m so sorry” he closed the door and waited, in a few seconds she opened it and he expected a frown on her face for seeing her half naked but she was calm as ever.
“Did you forget something?”
She asked him, he stared at the beautiful blue dress she wore and he felt a tug in his heart from seeing such beauty.
“Yea, about your uncle, what is he like?”
He asked.
In his dreams he had seen a man kill her over and over again more times than he could count, he needed to know if she had already met that man.
“Kind and sweet” she answered,
“He was the one who sent you here?” He questioned doubting if he was really what she said he is.
“Yes”
“And he didn’t come with you?”
“No”
“Has he done this before, like send you away to another pack?” He asked.
“This is the first time”
Lucian could feel a shiver down his spine, what if the man who is her uncle is the same man who killed her in his dreams.
“Did he say he was coming to get you later” he asked again not realizing that he had asked too many questions.
“Is there anything wrong?” She inquired bothered by his constant questions.
“No, nothing” he buried his head down as he walked out.
He had so many thoughts in his mind, was this the moment when she was going to be killed?, how long did he have to be with her?, is her uncle really the killer?.
All these questions scrambled in his head and he felt a heavy burden placed on him, one thing was for sure,
His mate was in danger either now or later.
