Chapter Twelve
My weekend was fun as I was learning magic tricks, I was able to fly and because of that I went to Andy and Mandy's Place and I also went to Lucas Place. That night was shameful to me. I was not able to sleep well because of Lucas for the whole night I was thinking about him. I am wondering right now how I can face Lucas. I felt too ashamed of what happened last night. Why did I feel so guilty? It is not my intention, it's just an accident. Oh, I am a sinful witch right now.
I quickly stood up from my bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I feel like not going to school today. My feet are too heavy to take a single step. After I dried myself with a towel. I sat in front of the mirror, I flicked my fingers and let my magic dress me and fixes my hair, I don't feel to move right now.
I don't know why? Maybe, I am just too worried about Lucas. I just don't know how I can face him. I took a glance again at the mirror before I went. My mother is too busy preparing breakfast and Grandmother is sitting on a rocky chair enjoying the morning sunlight. I grab an apple and hurriedly go out of the door and quickly walk toward my school. Aunt Salina waves me goodbye when she sees me running on the highway.
The St. Claire Academy is just two blocks away from our home. I feel so lazy to walk because my footsteps are heavy going to the campus. I look around for a moment and make sure that no one is around. I flicked my fingers three times and in just a second I was here in the front of the St. Claire Academy.
Just like an ordinary school day, all the students of the St. Claire Academy is too busy. I walked towards the building of my classroom and as usual, there were whispers along the way especially when I was chosen as the Prom Queen. I just ignored them and continued to walk along to my classroom when I have noticed that some students rioted on the front of the bulletin board that is located near the administration office.
I walk towards the place to let them know what it is all about. I saw Andy too, that he is the one who is being curious about. I get closer to him to ask what it is all about.
"Andy," I called him.
"Thana, glad you are here, Do you know about the news?"
"News? What news?" I questioned him with astonishment.
"Here." He grasps my hand and takes me to the front of the bulletin board.
"Look, your name was written here."
"Hmm… Yes, I see it... What does it mean?"
"Oh, my god, Thana you don't have any idea?"
I just shook my head to Andy showing that I don't have any idea what it is all about.
"You're in the list of one of the Honor rolls."
"Really?"
In my disbelief, I looked again at the bulletin board and found my name again and I found Thana Glasgow number two in ranking.
Oh, my… Is this true? I glance again at Andy and I almost shout when I see it with my own eyes. The students there just looked at me and I almost hugged Andy for joy.
"Oh, I can't believe this, Does it mean that I can go to college?"
"Yes, absolutely," I shouted even more and jumped for joy and what I found out.
Andy just laughs at me from my reaction.
" I'm happy for you Thana."
"Thank you, I am more than happy for you… You made it and you are in rank number one."
"Well, congratulations to both of us."
"Hmm... Wait, what about Mandy? Is she on the list? I asked Andy.
" Sadly, no..she didn't make it. "
" Oh, I am sure that she will pass too, and make it to college.
Andy and I walk toward the building of our room and at that moment we are curious that Mandy was still not around. Is she getting sleep too late talking to Liam I said to myself.
We continued to walk towards the building of our classroom. At an unexpected moment, we met Lucas in the hallway. My heart wakes up that moment I see him, I feel my face heat up and blush with the shame I feel for myself. I averted my eyes even more and just bowed when he smiled at me.
It's too glad that Andy doesn't notice that he is busy talking about the school he wanted to enrol in at the upcoming college. Maybe, if Mandy would be here she would immediately notice it. I am so thankful that he is not with us for our first class. To my surprise Mandy had already been in her seat, I went to my place and put all my belongings on my desk, Andy sat beside Mandy and looked furious.
"Hey, you've been here for so long." Andy stated to Mandy.
"Not so long, just about a minute before you enter the room."
"Oh, how pretty it is… We're looking for you."
"I'm sorry. Well, from now on I will be no longer with you and Thana."
"What?" I was astounded by what I heard from Mandy. What is it in her mind? Did we do wrong with her? She just smiles at us and looks more than happy. What is the matter with Mandy, is it because of Liam? "
I just shook my head and concentrated on the lesson that our professor is discussing now. For a while, I took a glimpse of Mandy. She doesn't listen to the lesson and she is busy reading messages from her phone.
I look at Andy and he is too observing Mandy on what she is doing. We were just shaken by what Mandy was doing.
The bell rang, a signal that the class was over, all of the students including me took their belongings to go to the next class. Mandy is in a hurry to go outside of the classroom.
I flicked my finger to stop her. Well, I am sorry that I need to use my magic to stop her and I really wanted to talk to her. In her astonishment, she is wondering why she isn't able to move. I just smiled to myself and went to her.
"Thana, help me… I can't move."
I just smiled at her and secretly flicked my finger to exterminate the reaction of my magic.
"Oh, I'm okay now… What happened?
" Hmm… Maybe your muscles just freeze because of your excitement. " Andy said to Mandy, looking so furious with her.
" Hey, What is the matter with you? "
" Oh, better ask yourself… Right Thana? ".
"Oh, wait, we don't need to fight okay?" I interrupt their argument first and there's no reason to fight. They both quiet as we walk outside of the room of our class.
"Mandy, we need to talk to you." As I stated to her.
"Okay, I am listening."
"I just wonder what you have said to us earlier… Why is it that you can no longer be with us... I mean we are friends."
"I know."
"Then why?" I asked Mandy again.
"We are still friends, but I need to give Liam more time."
Andy and I just looked at each other and were almost surprised by what Mandy said to us.
"Okay, Liam is my boyfriend now."
"What?"
To our shook, Andy and I just shouted.
Mandy hurriedly walked away from us and left us stunned and unable to believe what we found out. This is my fault again, I never want to go this way. I just wanted Mandy to be happy. I just feel afraid that Liam will hurt Mandy. I should think about how the love spell will take away from them.
