~ Helena ~
I was at home when Constantine called me. I didn’t know if it was a coincidence, but I wanted to finish it fast. So, I picked up the call immediately. “Stan?”
“Helena, are you free tonight?”
“Hmm, yes. Why?”
“I want to ask you to go out again. What do you think?”
“Where are we going?”
“It’s a secret, but I want you to wear a formal dress.”
“Okay.”
“So, you will go?”
I nodded. “Yes, Stan.”
“Splendid! I will pick you up at 6 p.m. Dress well, my dear.” Then he hung up.
I didn’t know where we would go, but I texted Red immediately. ‘Red, I’ll go with Constantine tonight around 6 p.m. I don’t know where he will take me. Please let Ethan know by nine. Thanks, Red. I owe you. Helena.’
Red replied quickly by only a word. ‘Okay.’
I took a nap afterward since I was tired emotionally. However, I woke up an hour later, still as exhausted as before I slept. Emotional exhaustion is hard to get rid of, unlike physical fatigue. When it is physical fatigue, I only need to sleep well, and when I wake up, I will be better. However, with emotional exhaustion, sleep doesn’t help at all.
I took a bath and picked up a red dress with red high heels. The dress reminded me of the present I returned to Constantine. It was a sexy dress that revealed my body shape, but it was still comfortable to wear.
I applied a light powder and makeup. Last, I used red lipstick matching with my dress and shoes.
When my mother saw me, she smiled. “You look gorgeous, sweetheart. Do you have a date with Ethan?”
I took a deep breath. “No, mom, with Constantine.”
My mother wrinkled her forehead. “Constantine?” She stared at me. “Sweety, is there something you want to tell me?”
“Maybe later, mom, since I don’t have a lot of time before Constantine picks me up.”
Then the bell rang. I walked fast to the door and opened it. Constantine brought two bouquets. He gave one to me, and then he gave another to my mother. “Mrs. Ross, I want to go with your daughter. I’ll try to send her back home not too late at night.”
My mother glanced at me. I forced a smile and nodded at her.
“Okay, take your time.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Ross.”
Then Constantine offered his arm to me. “Ready to go, princess?”
I nodded. “Sure!” I grabbed his arm and walked to the door. Since my mom kept watching us, I walked faster.
When we were in Constantine’s car, he stared at me. “What happened?”
I looked away. “Nothing.”
“Princess? Something should happen. Otherwise, it won’t be so easy to ask you out.”
Since I needed to make it believable, finally, I told him the truth. “I decide to leave Ethan.”
“Wow! It’s a good decision!” Then he grinned. “So, do you choose me?”
I shook my head. “Sorry, but I thought you were my friend, and—”
Constantine placed his pointer finger on my lips so that I couldn’t finish my words. “I understand, darling. Don’t worry. Let’s have fun tonight.”
I let out a sigh. “Thank you.”
Later, we didn’t talk a lot since my mind was full of Ethan and my plan to forget him. But the more I tried to forget our memories, the more I remembered each. I sighed again.
“So, do you want to tell me what happened between Ethan and you?”
I shook my head. “Ethan and I can’t be together.”
“Oh? Why?”
“He needs someone else.”
“He let you go?”
“No, but I know we must end it. Otherwise, we’ll be hurt more.”
Constantine stopped his car on the side road. Then he glanced at me. “How are your feelings right now?”
“Sad. Broken.” I bit my lower lip since I was about to cry again.
Constantine removed our seat belts and pulled me to sit on his lap. “Darling, do you know you are so amazing tonight?” He touched my hair, then my neck. Later, he touched my lips. “You can get any man you want. Forget Ethan. I will help you forget him.”
Then he stroked my lips tenderly. “May I kiss you, darling?”
“I—”
“I only want to help you.”
I closed my eyes. Maybe just once. Who knew if Constantine could help me? Then I opened my eyes and nodded. “Okay.”
He pushed my head softly while staring into my eyes. “I will help you forget him, darling.” He moved his head slowly while he kept touching my lips.
I closed my eyes, but my mind was full of Ethan. I sighed again when Constantine touched my neck.
“No!” He yelled.
I instantly opened my eyes. “What happened?”
“He has marked you.”
I nodded. “Yes, it’s true.”
Constantine stared at me for a full minute. “Are you sure you want to forget Ethan?”
“Yes. There’s no other way other than to end the relationship.”
“What exactly did he say to you?”
I bent my head since I didn’t want to look into his eyes. I was afraid to see a pity or a mock there. “Ethan needs a witch to help him with his situation. He needs to fall in love with her and vice versa.”
Constantine lifted my chin with his hand, forcing me to meet his eyes. “So?”
“I should go away. Otherwise, Ethan won’t find the witch or try to fall in love with her.”
He laughed out loud. I frowned. Maybe Red was right. Maybe Constantine was an evil man. I regretted my plan already.
“Sorry, but I found it ironic.”
“What do you mean?”
Constantine shook his head. “Nevermind. Forget what I said.” Then he stared at me and smiled, making him more look-alike Ethan. Then his smile was wider. “Ah, the kiss.”
Without asking again, Constantine kissed my lips. I closed my eyes and let him kiss me. His kiss was tender at first, but then I was hesitant when his tongue touched my lips to open. He bit my lips. I groaned, and he entered without permission. His tongue touched mine and sucked it hard. Then his hand pushed my back so my body was closer to him. Later, his hand caressed my back, then my bottom.
I felt his arousal, and I was afraid we had moved too far. But before I protested, he sucked my lips and rubbed our lower bodies together, increasing the sensation. It was hot, and then I remembered Ethan.
So, I pushed his chest hard. “No! Stop!”
