The Alpha's Woman Chapter 11

Donna fell softly on her chair, she placed a palm on her desk and parted her lips so she could breath out of her mouth because her heart was racing quickly. And so was her mind.

Back in Keith’s office, had she been seduced? No, that was no seduction, that had been temptation, she had been tempted and almost fallen for it. She sighed, no, she had completely fallen for it, she had completely given into the temptation and surrendered to him that if he had wanted to have his way with her right then and there, she would have given it to him without much of a fight.

She groaned and she thought herself cheap as she recalled the feel of his hand snaking up her body, the taste of his thumb when it had slid into her mouth. The look of lust in his eyes and his dominant show of manliness. She wondered what would have prompted him to act out in such a way because in all her years of working for him, he had never made an advance on her.

“Fuck you Keith.” she whispered. She closed her eyes and reclined into the seat as her mind kept wandering through the memories of just a few moments ago, his body, his scent, his aura. She shouldn’t be feeling this way, she fisted her palm and let out a long breath through her mouth, to be quite fair, she could not blame her body for reacting the way it had, she had starved herself of sexual pleasure for so long.

Her stomach tightened when she thought about it and her imagination served to fill in what had not happened, in that moment she didn’t think it was wrong to be thinking of her boss in that way, she turned her chair so that it backed the door and spread her legs slightly as she imagined all the wonderful pleasurable things that could have happened in his office had he not backed away.

Her tongue danced in her mouth when she imagined him kissing her, hungrily, goose bumps formed on her arms when she imagined his hand underneath her dress, caressing her inner thighs, making his way up her body and lifting her dress in the process.

“Yes…” she whispered.

His mouth sucking on her neck and his hands working on her boobs, toying with her nipples.

“More…” she whimpered.

She imagined his hand going down her body, parting her legs, moving into her panties and stroking her in the bud. She jumped slightly in her chair and a smile came to her face, it lasted only briefly as her face contorted and she gasped in pleasure when she felt his finger go into her. She let out a slight moan and whispered his name…

“Excuse me, Donna?” a knock came to her already opened door and she was yanked out of her imagination. She quickly arranged herself before turning her chair to face the door and looked up to the lady who had knocked. It was Paige.

She sucked in a breath before answering. “Yes Paige?”

“There is a Mr Jeremy Xiu waiting for you down in the lounge area.”

Donna blinked severally and turned in her chair to fully face her. Had she heard well? “I’m sorry, did you say Jeremy Xiu?”

“Yes, Mr Jeremy Xiu, you know, of The Aviary.” she nodded. “He is waiting in the lounge.”

“He is down, right now, and waiting?” she almost could not believe it, why would he come here?!

“I do find it quite strange because he should have just come up here if he had business to do with Mr Preston. ”

Donna agreed mentally with the Paige’s logic, except of course he had no business with Mr Preston, she knew he was here because of her, he had come here just to meet with her. She groaned, now that he knew she worked here, she wondered how many more of these visits she would be getting.

“It is strange, did he perhaps mention why he wanted to meet?” she asked Paige who shook her head negatively.

“He said you would know his reason. And it was odd that he had specifically asked to meet with you and not with Mr Preston.”

But Donna didn’t find that odd, it angered her. She had let go of her past with him and she was hoping that he cold at least do the same, she didn’t even want any form of closure, let things just remain as they were; when they didn’t run into each other, when they lived their lives without remembering the other existed.

“Unless of course,” Paige went on. “He had no appointment and this was just a visit out of the blues. But why would the CEO of The Aviary be coming in here to specifically meet with a worker of Ortho Speare, more so, the secretary to Mr Preston…” Her voice trailed off as she turned to leave after dropping the message but Donna quickly stopped her.

“Wait! Hold on!”

She turned back and poked her head into her office. “Yes, Donna?”

“Tell him… tell him I am not available.”

Paige’s eye brow furrowed in confusion. “Tell him what?”

“I do not want…” No, she thought, Paige might think something else and conclude on the matter wrongly to spread among the other workers. She corrected herself. “I have no time to see him so I am not available. I just left with Mr Preston and I would not be coming back today.” she frowned. “You tell him that and make him leave.”

Paige nodded her head in confusion as she slowly backed away from the door, heading back down to tell Mr Xiu what she had just been told.

Jeremy sat uneasy on the couch by the window, he didn’t look around but kept his attention on the outside, looking through the window. He had left home and a crying Cheryl to come here to see Donna, how could he not? After learning that Donna had been close to him this whole time, how could he not come to see her? He wanted the bad blood between then to end, more than that he wanted to have her again.

Her attitude towards him earlier today at the Ribbon Palace told him that would be next to impossible if not totally impossible but he would never know if he doesn’t try. But one thing was sure, Donna would never be his as long as he kept Cheryl in the picture, he would cross that bridge when he got to it, right now he just wanted them to at least be on good speaking terms.

Cheryl was disposable, she no longer had the strong backing she once enjoyed from his father and his mother who had devoted her time to pampering her was no more. His father was now a weak man, and even though he still held on to a significant amount of power as head of the Aberus, his strong grip over Jeremy was waning. If he wanted to let go of Cheryl, his father would not be able to put up much of a fight, a large part of him believed his father might actually have no objections to it.

But right now was not about Cheryl or her many problems, now was about Donna, he had to win her over and he would do whatever it takes to achieve that.

“Mr Xiu?”

He turned as he heard his name and stood when he found it was the lady who had gone up to tell Donna he had come to see her. He smiled to her as he adjusted his suit, all the while preparing mentally to face her. What would he say? How would he say it? Should he come at her professionally or as long lost friends would approach each other?

The lady interlocked her fingers and placed then over her belly. “I’m sorry but Miss Brooks is not in the office currently.”

He paused. “She is not?”

She shook her head and with a look that said ‘sorry you had to waste your time coming here’ she said. “She left with Mr Preston not quite long ago and won’t be coming back to the office today.”

“Oh.” was the only thing he could manage to say, the look of rejection was evident in his eyes and Paige almost felt for him.

“I’m sorry.”

He managed a chuckle. “No, that is fine. Just… drop her a message that I will come find her some other time. A time at her convenience.”

Paige smiled back at him. “I will do that, Mr Xiu.”

He nodded to her once and made his way out of the lounge with Paige following him until the reception table where she stood and watched him leave the building. Her head turned towards the elevator and her mind went back to Donna as she wondered what business the secretary of Ortho Speare had with the CEO of The Aviary that would warrant him to come looking for her personally.
