“You went to our hometown without me?” Dave pouted while eating chips on the couch. He started playing our favorite movie which is Harry Potter, it was also our favorite book.
“It was a surprise, okay? I didn’t even know Gray would do it,” I smiled again, thinking about my moments with Gray.
“Oh, so you are really falling in love with him?” He glanced at me.
I hugged the pillow and nodded. “I guess so.”
“Just make sure to me that she’s not going to hurt you.”
“I don’t know that,” I told Dave. “I am not sure, but I want to trust him, okay? C’mon, why don’t you like him?”
Dave sighed and sadly said, “Because as long as he existed, I can never have you.”
“Hey…” I straightened my back. “Dave, that is just…”
He cut me off. “It’s okay. I already know that and I am happy because you are happy.” He pulled and hugged me inside his arms. “Please be happy, okay? At least, I get to see you happy before I go back to another country.”
“Wait…” I looked at him. “You are not coming back.”
“I no longer have a reason to come back.” He brushed my hair. “You are already happy and the reason I went back here is to persuade you to go with me but it seems that it will never happen.”
“I’m sorry, Dave!” I hugged him. “I will pray that you’ll find her.”
“Yeah, don’t ruin the moment. Let’s just watch, okay?”
I nodded and we went silent as we watched the movie. We’ve watched it a lot of times and what we usually do is to recite the lines of the characters but now there’s just silence on our part. I guess, I just really made him sad. I hope we can teach our heart to love but it seems to me that we cannot do it.
“Okay, how about I make it up to you?” I said, cutting the silence between us. “Let’s spend some time together, tomorrow. How about that? We can go out of town before you leave. How is that?”
Dave smiled. “You know what I like, huh?”
I nodded. So, we did. We went out of the town and spent some time together doing the things we both loved to do. The whole day really went well and I could say that I missed spending time with Dave. I am just glad that even though I couldn’t give the love that he was trying to give me, he is still there after all these years. I really don’t know what to do without him.
I got really tired from the whole day, so I decided to just spend the night in Dave’s condo. I also missed sleeping with him without malice. We’ve been together since I was a kid so he’s the only person I can be comfortable to sleep with in one bed.
The next morning came and it was then I realized that I haven’t updated Gray. I texted him that I am with Dave but my battery was dead and I fell asleep so I wasn’t able to tell him how my day went.
“Are you going to the university?” Dave said as he was driving me back to our home.
Omg! I also forgot to tell Lyuna where I am, so she must be worried about me now. Maybe she thought I was with Gray.
“No, I’ll be spending my time sleeping.”
“Thanks for yesterday. I enjoyed it,” Dave smiled at me as we stopped in front of our house.
“My pleasure. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
Dave nodded and hugged me. I opened the car and was startled upon seeing Gray standing in front of our gate with his arms crossed.
He glared at Dave who just nodded at him. Dave, being an ass sometimes, grinned at Gray and teased him more. You gotta be kidding me, Dave! I glared at him and he just laughed and drove away.
“Hey,” I greeted Gray. “Sorry, I wasn’t --”
“Are you cheating on me?” He directly asked.
Okay, I have a long day to explain. Damn! Why am I even so forgetful?
"So?" He looked at me as he held out his palm to me.
I took out my phone and he opened it. I watched him as he checked my phone. I bit my lower lip when he showed me all his texts and his 150 missed calls since yesterday morning. It was my fault because I enjoyed the day with Dave. Although, I let him know about it but I totally forgot about it. I have a jealous boyfriend.
Not that I forgot about Gray, I let him know that Dave was with me and then I got tired so I went to sleep last night after a tiring day.
"Uhm," I leaned over him while he was still serious. "Sorry." I pouted.
"I'm really sorry. I'm sorry." I lifted my palm and bowed down. “I am really sorry. I was tired and--”
"Where did you sleep last night? I've been waiting for you all night at your house."
I widened my eyes with what he said. “You waited?”
He crossed his arms and nodded a bit. “I did. Where did you sleep last night?”
I smiled because he’s jealous. I know it’s absurd but I like seeing Gray jealous because he’s so cute and at least I know he’s concerned about me.
I was guilty there but at the same time I was happy because he was concerned about me. And, I know he’ll find me when I am lost.
"Why are you smiling?" He asked.
"Because you're sweet." I can't help but say. "You're concerned about me."
His eyebrows rose at what I said. "Of course I'm concerned about you because you're my girlfriend."
I smiled and clung to his arm. "Yeah, sorry…”
"Where did you sleep last night?" He repeated.
"At Dave's condo."
"Tsk." I heard him say. He whispered something but I did not understand.
"What?"
He didn’t say anything and just started the engine and drove away from our house. Well, I didn’t bother him while I was driving and I just slept. He woke me up when we are already at the parking lot.
“Where are we?” I looked around the parking lot of my building.
“You know, I got jealous easily. So, you are also gonna spend your time at my condo.”
He said, got out of his car and opened the door for me. He held out his hand and smiled. “I have to punish you.”
“What kind of punishment is that?”
He shrugged. “Well, what do you want?”
I laughed. “I am so excited to actually visit your place.”
I followed him until we reached his place. I stood in awe as I entered the place.
“Who’s your interior designer?” I asked. “I mean, this place is so nice.” I said, looking around. If I remember correctly from my lessons before, this is a Scandinavian Flavour theme. The whole unit was filled with white and blonde colour palettes with splashes of elements from nature such as furs, leatheres and natural fibres.
“A friend of mine,” he replied. “Now, that you’re here. Can you redesign the place for me?”
“Why would I?” I asked. “This is nice and I am not an interior designer. I am an architect,” I told him. “And, woah! What nice bookshelves!” I smiled as I checked out the titles of the book and I was somehow glad because we have the same collections of books.
“You still can do it, right? C’mon, I want to have your touch in my place. Please? Can you do it for me?”
I nodded. “I will try.”
“Good. But, hey, what are we going to do here? Why did you bring me here?”
“Did you also ask Dave the same question when he brought you to his condo?”
“C’mon,” I chuckled. “Dave is my best friend.”
“And, I am your boyfriend.”
“Yeah.” I nodded. “I’m hungry. Do you have food?” I changed the topic. I don’t want us to fight over Dave.
I followed him into the kitchen and opened the fridge and saw my favorite chocolate.
"Isn't that your favorite?" He handed me one.
"How did you know?"
“I know a lot of things about you.”
I stared at him. Everyday, he finds a way to make me fall in love with him.
“Your stare makes me want to kiss you.”
“Then, kiss me---” He kissed me and chuckled in between kisses.
"Can you sleep with me?"
“What?” I raised my brow. Is he asking me to give up my...okay? Wait...I still need time to process that.
Before I could continue what I was thinking, he spoke immediately.
"I mean, Can you sleep with me? We are not going to do anything. We are just going to sleep together. I swear I'm not going to rape you even if I want to."
“Oh...I thought…” I just nodded, laughing.
"What are you thinking?" He grinned. "Do you want to give that to me?" He added.
“Duh! Why do you want to be with me?” I curiously asked.
“I want to watch the stars with you.”
“We already sleep together,” I remembered back when we were in our mansion. Although, not really sleep since I slept on the couch and he slept on the floor.
“I want to sleep with you in my arms. Can I do that?”
“Yeah. But, first, you have to cook for me.” I ordered. “And, I need to borrow your laptop because I need to send something to the university. I missed my class today.”
He checked his watch. “Yeah. Consider it done.”
“Where’s your laptop?” I said, looking around.
“Oh, it’s inside my room. You can work on my study table.”
“Okay…” I kissed him on the cheeks before going to his room.
I smelled mint upon entering. I laid down in his bed for a while before going to his study table. I imagine Gray sleeping in his bed or working at this table. I smiled at the thought.
I was able to open his laptop easily because there’s no password on it. I just needed to finish some paperworks so I could spend all my time with Gray. Although, my mood was ruined when I saw his wallpaper.
