"Are you a secret?" he asked as we ate pizza after walking around at the mall to pick something for his brother. He doesn’t want to do it but I told him that it’s the right thing to do. I want them to reconcile with his brother although it would take time.
“I am not a deodorant,” I said, remembering the brand.
"Babe! You're beautiful and I'm handsome, don't contradict me!" He frowned.
I chewed the pizza before answering him.
"All right, why?"
"Nevermind." He frowned
“Woah. You're mad, already?” I teased and laughed.
He bit his pizza and pouted.
“Okay, sorry…”
“I don’t accept sorry.”
“What? Let’s break up?” I joked that it made him serious. I regretted saying it.
“Don’t ever say that again.”
“Okay!” I nodded. “Sorry!” I zipped my mouth.
I sat beside him and hugged him. “I love you, okay?”
He hugged me back. “Don’t ever leave.”
“I will not leave, okay. Stop being dramatic.”
“Stop saying it.”
I nodded again. “So, what’s the pick-up line?”
“Because I am keeping you inside my heart.”
I frowned and eventually laughed when I saw his serious face.
“Don’t ever joke again. You’re handsome but too corny.”
He tickled me and I almost yelled, making the people look at us. I blushed and hid my face in his chest.
“You are so cute, babe! Come on. Let’s get out of here.” He held my hand and we walked out of the pizza shop.
“Are you a secret?” He tried joking again while we were walking.
“Why?”
"Because I just want you with me."
I raised my brow because it doesn’t make sense. Ugh! I pretended to be happy about it although I know Gray already knew that I am not liking his pick-up lines.
"It's the last one, babe, are you a secret?"
I asked him again why.
"Because I don't want to share you with others. You are only mine.”
This time, I blushed.
Why is Gray like this? Why is Gray so sweet? Why is he making me nervous. Ugh! He really knows how to give me butterflies in the stomach.
"Why are you so handsome?" I blurted and he laughed.
“I was born to be handsome, babe!” He chuckled.
He invited me to play some arcades at the Times World where he started dancing at the revo machine. And, oh my gosh! I really don’t know if I will be jealous or what but girls are really paying attention to him as he dances. He was really good and almost all the girls lined up to watch him until he was done. Some even recorded his dance. Well, I couldn’t blame them. God poured perfection to my boyfriend.
After that, We bought a ticket and then we played bump car. And, he was a reckless driver because I was driving so peacefully and then he hit me. I know it's a bumpy car but I want to enjoy it peacefully. I think I was dizzy when we went down because we rode the bump car four times. I was still a better driver than him even though he owns a lot of cars. Huh!
We played another machine until we decided to play the catcher. He was so annoyed that he couldn’t get the bunny that I wanted. He gave up and he was so handsome as he complained in front of the mansion.
Gray is really a head-turner as I noticed that people will eventually look at him whenever he passes by.
"I'll just buy a big bear for you." He frustratedly said. “I will buy this mall for you. How about that?” He was still pissed as the other couple beside us was getting a lot of bunny in their first try.
“It’s okay. You don’t need to…”
He stopped and I followed him as he walked towards the manager of the Times World. I thought he would complain but what shook me was when he said, “I would like to buy the machine.” He pointed at the machine we were just playing a while ago.
The manager’s jaw dropped at what he said and even blinked.
“Hey, he was just kidding…”
“I am not kidding. I am going to buy the machine for my girlfriend.”
“Sir, I am sorry but you need to talk to the owner of this mall and--
Gray stopped him and pulled out his phone while we both looked at him. He was so serious and really cool. Damn! I am having butterflies in my stomach again.
I can definitely buy that machine but it’s just so sweet that Gray was willing to buy that for me. Well, he’s just frustrated because he couldn’t get a bear from it. Should I ask him for a private plane? Gosh! I wonder what else Gray is willing to do for me. My hair grew another inch.
He dialed and then talked to someone. After seconds, he gave the phone to the manager and the manager just nodded at someone on the other line. I looked at Gray and he just winked at me.
“What are you doing?
“Okay. Sir. You can buy the machine. We will be delivering it at your address.”
Gray grinned and I just blinked. Did he seriously buy the machine because he was annoyed he couldn’t get it? Wow! Damn! I couldn’t believe it. I think I want a new car. Kidding! He’s so sweet.
“Have it delivered to this address,” he said and guided me away from the place.
“How?” That's all I could say.
“I built this mall and the owner is a friend of mine.”
“Tell me something I don’t know about you, please.” I pleaded. “What are the things you built that I should be aware of? Are you that famous?”
He laughed. “You’ll get to know so don’t worry. But, I helped build the tallest building in this country. Just research on that.”
He held my hand and swayed it as we walked.
“Oh, by the way, I have a surprise for you…” He stopped when we reached the bookstore. I remembered that this was the bookstore where we first met. It felt nostalgic as we both stood in this place where I confessed my feelings for him.
Who would have thought that we are already here at this moment?
“Do you want to buy a book?”
“Yeah. We can check the new titles.”
He gave me a meaningful smile as the manager of the store welcomed us.
“What is happening?”
The manager gave us a card, it’s a black card.
“Ma’am, welcome. You may get as many books as you want.”
“What?” I said. Okay, I’ve been saying those words since and I will continue to say it as Gray kept on surprising me. He gotta be kidding me!
“You are the new owner of this bookstore, Ma’am!” They all bowed down.
