Killian stared the voluptuous, dark skinned, long haired beauty down, a smirk forming on his lips at the battle of wills that was about to rain down their heads. “Sleeping arrangements?” He repeated. “Kendra look around,” He gestured, “There’s nothing else to sleep in apart from the bed. There’s no room for argument, we’re going to have to put our differences aside and share.”
“But the bed… it’s going to be a tight fit,” Kendra argued.
“What exactly are you afraid of, Ken? Is it my touch?”
Yes!
She didn’t say that though. Instead, she said, “No, it’s not… it’s just that it’s not exactly proper for a man and a woman who aren’t married to share a room, much less share a bed.”
“We’re not just some man and woman though, Ken… and you know it. Besides, we werewolves do not exactly mind,” The Alpha countered, looking every bit calm while his Beta looked so flustered, “But if you seem to have a problems with our sleeping arrangements, you can always choose to sleep on the floor. I could toss a few pillows and a blanket your way.” He shrugged, knowing very well that challenging her would get her to let go of her inhibitions.
Kendra eyed him, her irritation apparent, “That won’t be necessary. We’ll share the bed.”
There was a knock at the door that thankfully kept Killian from saying anything, he instead went to open it and in came food for their hungry bellies and water for their baths.
He nodded his appreciation, and watched the entire entourage head out.
Kendra didn’t even wait for him, the rumbling in her tummy pulling her towards the table loaded with food. It wasn’t much, really… just cider and bread and a full chicken, but for the she-wolf, it was a whole feast.
Killian joined her, and together, the two wolfed down the food in silence.
“Now that we’re on Alaric’s turf,” Killian started, “What exactly is your plan?” Killian asked in interest after a moment.
“First thing at dawn,” She paused to gulp down some cider, “I’ll sneak into his camp and join one of his troupes.”
Killian was so lost… so mesmerised watching her eat, that he was almost didn’t catch what she said.
“Wait, what?” He backtracked when it finally registered. He didn’t want to argue again, and so he said, “Alright, why don’t I do the whole scouting thing for you first, and then we can part ways after? I don’t really think it's a good idea to have you go into enemy territory without having a mental map of the place and some knowledge on how things are done there at least.”
The Alpha wanted to add ‘especially in your condition’, but he thought better of it and kept mum.
“That won’t be necessary,” She countered with a small smile, “Look, I know you’re worried about my missing wolf, but I’m not exactly helpless without her you know? I’ll be fine.” With those words, Kendra stood up. Done with her meal, she needed to wash all the mud and sweat and grime away so she could have a good night’s sleep before her quest really started.
As she stepped into the small enclosure with the warm water and a wooden bathtub, she checked and crosschecked again to make sure that the door was locked this time, her mind flitting back to that night where Killian had caught her masturbating.
Of course with the memories came all the sensations that had flooded her senses back then.
It was as though she was slowly burning, and perhaps, she really was… because she felt an almost searing need to relive the whole experience again.
But she was obstinate.
She wasn’t going to let a few minutes of pleasure cloud her judgement, blur the lines she was trying to create between herself and Killian. And so she hurriedly took her bath and stepped out of the bathing chambers in a new set of breeches and a tunic.
“You can go have your bath now,” She muttered to the Alpha, looking anywhere else but at him, and it was a good thing she did that, because the past few minutes hadn’t been easy for Killian either… and she would have seen that had she looked into his eyes, because the emotions were all in the open, without any inhibitions…
And its intensity definitely would have consumed them both.
Without another word, the female-beta climbed into the bed and turned away from him, and even though Killian wanted to stay there forever staring at her plump, delectable derrière, he told himself that holding her in his arms would be a much better experience.
And so he dashed into the bathroom and finished in record time, only to come out to meet a bed demarcated with the blanket and pillows showing his side of the bed.
The Alpha chuckled.
His mate was cute.
But if she thought that a few pillows and a blanket were going to get him to stay away from her, then she had another thing coming.
Killian slipped into the bed after putting the candles out.
Pushing the pillows away, he then wrapped the blanket around the two of them and tugged her close, making sure that her ass rested right where it was supposed to be,
Against his rock hard cock.
Killian could have sworn that he heard her moan, but for some reason, the stubborn woman was still hell bent on feigning sleep.
Very well.
He could also play that game.
Sighing deeply, he muttered some kind of prayer softly in the dark and then switched to silence.
Kendra felt her body sag in relief.
It was finally over.
But how wrong she was.
Killian was just getting started.
He took every subtle opportunity to thrust harder against her, to brush a hand against her perky mounds, to push her even more close to him.
It got to a point where Kendra couldn’t handle it anymore, “W-what are you doing, Kill…” She whispered, her voice husky… laced with desire.
“What am I doing?” He repeated the question, “Well, I’m enjoying the only night where I can pretend that you have agreed to be mine.”
“We can’t do this, Kill…” Her words trailed off into another moan as he flexed his hips again, grinding against her.
Killian chuckled, “Why don’t you turn around and tell me that to my face then, mate?”
And so turn around she did do,
But instead of telling him off like she had originally planned, Kendra found herself roughly pulling him in for a passionate kiss.
Killian gave as good as he got,
His hands were everywhere, just like hers were.
Every touch, every caress was titillating, but Killian wanted more,
Fuck, did he want more.
For some reason he wanted to bite her neck, call it animalistic instincts or something, but the obsession was almost overwhelming.
He wasn’t really sure why, but he had a feeling it had to do with the mate link they shared.
A claw shot out and with one flick, her tunic was nothing but rags. Kendra was equal parts pissed and turned on as she gasped her surprise, “You ruined my shirt!”
“I’ll get you a thousand more,” The Alpha growled absentmindedly, his gaze fixated on her huge breasts with erect nipples jutting out… calling out to him, begging him to claim them in his mouth. “I want to suck on them,” He confessed to the she-wolf who felt her pantaloons drench some more at the admission,
“You shouldn’t, Kill… w-we shouldn’t,” She tried to convince herself and him, but her hand was already firmly grasping his cock, caressing it softly, smearing the bead of pre-cum she found over the rest of him.
Killian growled deeply. For some reason it gave Kendra even more pleasure to see him losing control so and she relished in it, working him with steady ministrations that gradually and gradually pushed him towards the edge.
Killian couldn’t have that.
He reached for her hands and pinned them above her head with one hand, “My turn,” he smirked sexily. Languorously
His other hand curiously explored her body. It was the first time he was this up close with the female form after all, and so he played with her body, entrancedly, languorously… trying to find out what made her tick… what gave her the most pleasure.
He could feel her quivering as his fingers lightly traced patterns against her stomach, but when his fingers finally connected with her most intimate parts, she literally shot off the bed in what could only be described as a cross between a whimper and a shriek.
A loud knock suddenly sounded at their door at that exact moment, and Killian froze for a moment wishing that whoever that was would go away, but for Kendra, the moment had already passed.
“Get off me, Killian… there’s someone at the door,” She whispered in a tone that left no room for argument.
The knock sounded yet again as Killian slid to his side of the bed, a loud growl escaping his lips at the intrusion.
He had shifted, but partly… and with the way things were going, Kendra feared for whoever was behind that door.
“Killian…” She whispered urgently wrapping the blanket around her, “Get yourself together, what the hell is wrong with you?!” She hissed.
“Can’t… wolf,” He growled again.
At this point, Kendra face-palmed. She now saw just how much trouble she would have been in had she slept with him.
“Right, I almost forgot how fucked up we were for a hot minute. Stay here, and don’t do anything crazy to blow our cover,” She hissed again as she climbed out of the bed. The knock sounded at the door for the third time.
“Just a minute,” Kendra hollered.
Who the fuck was that?
When she opened the door slightly, she found that it was just two of the help.
“We wants to empty the bathtub, milady,” One of them said.
Really?
This was why they were knocking like that?!
“That won’t be necessary, there was really no need waking people up from their sleep. You could have just done this tomorrow morning,” She told them curtly, her irritation apparent. She closed the door without another word.
You sure as hell know you weren’t sleeping.
Her subconscious teased. She ignored it.
Thankfully, Killian had managed to get his wolf under control, but for some reason, Kendra still found herself upset with him, and so she didn’t pay him any mind.
Instead she rummaged through her stuff and slipped on another tunic, letting the sheets slide to the ground.
When she was done, she approached the bed, grabbed a pillow, and then went to lay the blanket on the ground.
“Kendra?”
“I’ll sleep here tonight, don’t worry about me.”
“Come take the bed, I’ll sleep there instead,” The Alpha said in a tone that left no room for argument, but Kendra was undeterred.
“No, I’m good, Killian… let it go. We’re parting ways first thing at dawn, the last thing I’d want to do is argue when I could be getting some sleep.” She told him wearily and turned away from him.
Killian was feeling a lot of things, but anger was currently most prominent.
Look at her talk so easily about them parting ways.
Hell was going to have to freeze over before that happened.
