The Cursed Alpha's Redemption Chapter 32

Red long tunics,

Bald heads everywhere, no woman in sight.

Kendra’s nose wrinkled in disgust.

She was for sure going to have to rethink her decision of joining the troupes and find another plan instead.

Because she knew that with her physical features, it was going to be an almost impossible feat to achieve.

Perhaps she could go sneak into the camp as a maid?

She wasn’t sure that would get her close to Alaric as fast as she wanted.

And at this point she needed to win Alaric Macintyre's trust so much so that she’d become a confidante of some sorts to him. That way it wouldn’t be suspicious getting him disclose to her the name of his witch and seer, the woman who was rumored to be the most powerful witch in all of Axon.

And then she would kill him of course.

With her mind wandering far away the Beta’s thoughts strayed towards her friend, Artemis.

Honestly speaking, the Redhead was the only reason why the quest had been made possible.

Artemis had known a lot about the mysterious General, and for some reason, every time she began a tale about him, Kendra found her interest genuinely peaked.

But that had been a good thing.

Because that was how she had come to learn about the powerful witch who kept the General protected from werewolf attacks.

Kendra didn’t know why, but she just had this gut feeling that if there was anyone who could help Killian out, it would be this woman.

And so she wasn’t exactly on this quest for her own personal gain... even though it was a close second, even though it was exactly what she wanted people believe.

And, hell would have to freeze over before she let Killian become aware of that fact.

Because she knew once he found out that she was putting her life on the line like that because of him, his pride wouldn’t allow her to do so.

With her thoughts straying towards Artemis, Kendra felt that familiar guilt slowly make its way back into her chest again.

The redhead finally knew the whole story,

And even though she had been absolutely devastated, she had taken it in good stride.  Artemis was one of those people who had absolute belief in divination and all of that shit.

Now one would ask why Kendra was being consumed by guilt.

The answer was simple, really. She had invited the first female friend she had ever had into their lives only to have her heart broken.

It wasn’t her fault, but she still couldn’t help but feel bad anyway. Deeply lost in thought, Kendra didn’t watch where she was going, and she crashed into a pile of tin plates and spoons, a very loud noise ensuing at the collision. She cursed softly, but it was already too late, troupe members were swooping in.

She had been spotted.

And now she needed to fight if she wanted to protect her life, but perhaps, she could talk her way out of this first.

“Who are you? And what are you doing on Curer Territory?” One soldier asked, sword drawn, ready for anything.

“Me’s a just a maid, sir,” She managed to say, in bad English, all the while calculating just how fast she’d be able to reach for her dagger and how many people she’d be able to kill before death finally claimed her,

They were just too many, she wasn’t going to be able to fight them all.

“Where ya from? Me haven’t seen you around here before.” Another soldier asked.

“M-me was kidnapped by wolves from the Silver Crest Pack, but me managed to escape. Me able to make it to QYEPOE and me was told that me could find work here,” She whispered, a few tears managing to make its way into her eyes as she thought about the pack that was no more.

Kendra had found time and time again that in order to tell a completely believable lie, you had to stick to the truth as much as possible, but perhaps, even that wouldn’t save her this time.

“Did you say Silver Crest?”

Kendra nodded, lifting a tear stained, pretty face to look up at the soldier who had asked her the question, all the while trying to be as demure as possible… because she knew acting wasn’t really her strong suit.

“Alright, we need to take her to the General.” One soldier, a giant of a man with one eye completely ruined said, but the other soldiers were quick to disagree,

“Yer, look at her… look at that face, that mouth made to suck on a man’s cock, those hips made for rutting. D’yer think the General’s gonna let her go when we take her to see him? We need to have our way with her first!”

Choruses of ‘yes’ filled the tiny space, and one vile soldier closed the distance between them and palmed her chest, a psychopathic grin revealing the blackest set of teeth she had ever seen, “We’re gonna ‘ave so much fun with ya, lass,” He whispered darkly. Kendra slapped his hand off, much to the surprise of the soldiers.

“Ooh, she’s a feisty one.” Excitement flitted across the men at the revelation, and for a brief moment, a small shudder of fear ran through the she-wolf.

“Me’s not like the other maids,” She said, voice loud and true, head raised like the haughty woman she was most certainly not supposed to be in that moment, “Lemme make it clear to yer… yer may be able to overpower me eventually, but me not going down without a fight.” She declared, causing the man standing before her to chuckle.

“Such big words for a wee maid,” He said, a dirty hand reaching out to touch her bottom lip.

Kendra spat in his face.

“OKAY, I’VE HAD IT WITH YER, LASS,” He boomed, completely pissed off now. “I’m going to take yer so hard and so fast that ye would regret bringing out this side of me.” His breeches came off in a flash, and he started to stroke his slowly growing cock. Kendra’s hand closed in on her dagger inconspicuously as she stared him down. She wasn’t going to go down without a fight.

“ALRIGHT, THAT’S ENOUGH!!!” The one eyed soldier thundered, closing the distance between them and roughly snatching Kendra into his arms. At first, Kendra was going to fight him off, but his next set of words stopped her in her tracks. “I’m taking her to the general, any of you should dare stop me.”

Thankfully, no one tried to.

The kind man let go of her as soon as they stepped out of the tent and into the night again. “Sorry about that,” He apologised as they walked, “I had to be rough if I was going to make sure you get out of there without harm coming to you,”

“Me understand,” Kendra said, gratitude filling her tone, “Me owe yer me life and me virtue,”

“It’s nothing,” He brushed her appreciation off, “I have a young lass, much younger than you… and I’d hate for her to be in such a situation, so why would I subject someone’s child to the same thing?”

Before Kendra could open her mouth to say a word, he said, “We’re here.” He stopped in front of a large tent that showed all the signs that it belonged to a person of higher authority.

“What now?” Kendra whispered, a small shiver of trepidation coursing through her body. After days of planning, she was finally going to meet Alaric Macintyre, and if she was being honest, she didn’t really know how she felt about that.

“Just go in,” The broad giant said, “He’s expecting you,”

Kendra noticed that the giant made no attempt to step in with her, as a matter of fact, he suddenly seemed nervous even. The female-beta swallowed deeply. She had come too far to be scared now, and so steeling her shoulders, she took one last deep breathe and stepped into the tent.
