The Cursed Alpha's Redemption Chapter 41

Aiyisha stared at the bronze colored, handsome Alpha training with the other males in her pack, and a light blush covered her cheeks at the wild thoughts that had been flicking through her head.

She had never been grateful for anything in her life, but she was one hundred percent grateful to the fates for bringing Killian into their lives.

You see, for a long time, the she wolf’s life had settled into a routine. She spent her whole life training for a position that even she knew deep down that her father would never hand down to her simply because of her sex… she trained so hard, got so good at it that the male wolves in her pack were mostly no match for her, and all felt intimidated by her, they mostly avoided her like she was the plague.

Thankfully, she got along just fine with the other she-wolves in her pack, but she couldn’t help but desire Aphrodite’s blessing... she just wanted that special connection with a male.

And then fate rought this handsome hunk into her life.

Now, she could say with certainty that they were friends. He seemed closed off, but they were getting along quite well.

Killian had been training the male wolves, while she handled the females, and looking at their level of readiness now, the Alpha’s daughter could say that now there was some hope for her pack. One thing she knew about her pack was that when they put their mind to doing something, they gave it their all.

All the time.

It was obvious in the way the males literally trained from dawn till dusk and from how the women actively participated in their training even though they had no initial experience in the subject.

Of course they still needed more practice.

But things were definitely looking up.

Each night, she had dinner with the young Alpha under the moonlight, and he shared some information about himself with her, and she did same with him.

And it was always so perfect.

“I know, such a fine wolf, that young man, isn’t he?” A voice drawled out, rousing her from her thoughts, “Father,” She bowed her head slightly, chiding herself for not hearing him approach and for how he had caught her drooling over the young Alpha. “I didn’t hear you coming,” She admitted.

“That’s alright child,” With a lot of effort, he joined her on one of the low benches upon which she sat, and sighed in contentment at how his bones and joints breathed out in relief. “Done training the women?”

“Aye, for the morn…” She reported, “They go to make preparations for lunch, and then they will return afterwards.”

“I see.” The wrinkly Alpha nodded his approval.

The duo sat in silence for a little while watching the men train, until he broke the silence again.

“What do you think of Alpha Silvercrest, daughter?”

Aiyisha knew exactly what he was doing, and she told herself that there was no way in hell she was going to have this kind of conversation with her father, and so she said, “I think he is a wonderful alpha. It is quite sad to see him have to let his pack go because of some curse.”

She meant that part with all her heart, it really was quite a shame. Surprisingly, his situation made her want to question the sense of the gods, but she had also staunchly believed in them all her life and so she was quite conflicted on that part.

“Aiyisha,” Her father drawled, “That is not what I am talking about. I meant how do you see him as a man… as a partner?”

The blonde haired girl’s nose wrinkled in disgust, “I am sorry, father,” She said, “But I’m not having this conversation with you.”

“If you won’t, then don’t.” His tone was devoid of emotions as usual, but Aiyisha was used to it now, and so it didn’t hurt like it used to. Her father had always hated her, and that was never going to change, because ever since birth, she had wronged him in two great ways that he was probably never going to get over until he died. Her first offence you already know… she had been born a girl— but her second offence had helped cement his hatred even more;

Her birth had killed his wife and her mother, and he had never recovered since.

Growing up, she had never felt his love, she had gone as far as to wonder why he had kept her alive. And then she had thought that putting in her all to prove to him that she was fit to take over from him when he retired would be enough to win his love, but then she had failed at that too.

“Are you even listening to me?”

The young wolf snapped back to reality, “Can’t you see, Aiyisha? The fates have brought us an Alpha, and lucky for you, he is a good man. I should not be the one to tell you to use your feminine wiles to get him to settle with our pack as your husband so I can hand the pack over to him.”

Aiyisha’ heart tore at her father’s words… so much so that for the first time in a long time, her mask of careful indifference slipped for a little bit, allowing him to see the look of hurt on her face and the light sheen of unshed tears in her eyes. “Father, you’d give Dnakle over to a total stranger than have it come to me your only child?”

“Do not remind me of my failures as a man, girl,” He told her sharply, his eyes shining with hate, “I’d rather see my pack in the hands of that total stranger, or in the hands of one of the male wolves of this pack, than to see it move to you. So the choice is yours, at least as a wife of the Alpha, you will have some say in how the pack is run.” With those last words, the old alpha painfully made it to his feet and slowly wobbled away. It wasn’t until he was far gone that she closed her eyes and let the tears out.

What had she done to deserve this?

Why didn’t the fates take her instead of her mother?

Maybe then, she wouldn’t be suffering like this.

Wiping the tears away, she wiped the tears away angrily, willing herself to calm down and take a deep breath. After having done that, she pondered over her father’s words again.

True, he had been very mean voicing out his opinions, but there were some parts that he got right. Killian was a good man. She was attracted to him, and if she didn’t take this opportunity that the fates had handed to her by bringing him into their lives, he would move on when all of this was over, and then she would lose the only chance it seemed she had at settling down on her own terms. Her father may not have discussed it with her yet, but she knew he was making plans to get her married off to someone from the pack. It was who it was that she wasn’t sure about yet.

Her attention shifted to the Alpha in question again, and she admired his sinewy arms and chest, a small pool of wetness pooling in her pantaloons when he laughed proudly at one of the male wolves for getting a move he had taught them right, and then met her gaze, shooting her an amused wink in the process.

Fuck, being with him wouldn’t be such a bad thing at all.

With that thought in mind, the she wolf came to a determined conclusion.

She was going to have him all to herself.

She was going to make her move tonight.
