The Enforcer's Sister Chapter 33

I visited the doctor after experiencing morning nausea. The news that followed left my heart skipping a beat. "Congratulations, Madam. You are four weeks pregnant," the doctor revealed. Finally, I was carrying Victor Donovan's child. Now I just have to wait for the perfect time to do this right. I cannot afford to mess up.

I decided to stop drugging my mother. I already got what I wanted, and there was no reason to continue. But still, as the night fell and I nestled in my warm bed, gently stroking my stomach, I couldn't help but daydream about telling Victor and seeing his reaction. I had no idea why my mother didn't try to give him another child. Perhaps she was barren. I mean, she is old. In her mid-forties now. Ugh! Their wombs probably shriveled up at that age. Rolling my eyes, I turned to the side where Victor always lay and reached for his pillow to press it against my nose.

"I don't know, I'm beginning to think I have some deep emotions for my dear daddy dearest, which would be absurd! But why absurd though? He is yummy-looking, virile, and strong. Taking my mother's position would not be so bad. I mean, I am young and beautiful. I can be useful to him in his business. We can both crush his enemies together. I can be anything Victor wants me to be. But Archer is the future!" I argued with myself. "Argh! Stop thinking!" I thought to myself and tried to relax all the muscles in my body and sleep. My heart was pounding like crazy; I had no idea what was wrong with me. Perhaps it was the pregnancy thing.

Around 2 a.m., I heard the door creak and my eyes fixed on the direction, watching with bated breath as the familiar figure of Victor Donovan strode inside and locked the door. Oh, my God! He had come! Even though I had stopped drugging my mother, he had come anyway. A profound joy spread through my chest, and I released a shaky breath as he slipped under the covers and drew me close to his naked body. His warmth enveloped me, and tears welled up in my eyes. Pressing a kiss to the nook of my neck, he whispered, "I know you're awake." I grew even more emotional when his hand slowly stroked my tummy as he pressed his throbbing stallion against my behind. I turned in his arms to face him, cupped his face, and crushed my lips to his, kissing him with burning passion as if it would be the last time.

"Hmm... we're fiery today, somebody missing me..." he growled, and I could feel the vibration to my very core.

"Fuck me, Daddy!" I cried.

He chuckled, the sound deep and highly arousing. Pushing himself up, using one arm as support, he hovered over me, nudged my legs apart, and teased me with his fingers before he roughly took my lips, cupped my behind, and drove into me in one stroke. A gasp escaped my lips, and the feeling rushing through me was so profound. I clung to him as he drove me mad with each long and deep stroke.

"What if my mother comes looking for you?" I said, feeling an ache in my heart that I still had to share him.

"I am here now, little Jess. Don't go reaching now," he growled against my lips, giving me a gentle bite.

About a week after that, my mother asked me to join her for dinner, and I did. I was happy and content. I had everything that I wanted, and pursuing Archer wasn't as important anymore. My mother was already at the dining table, dining alone as always. A secret pleasure spread through me, remembering the endless rendezvous with Victor every night when I fed him finger food and then had him ravish me all night. I bet my mother never had that. And soon enough, she would no longer hold the position as Victor's wife. Victor would be all mine, and with time, I would convince him to make our child his heir. Satisfied with how things were panning out for me, I sat down.

"I can't believe you're still in your pajamas. My God, don't you have anything planned for your life?" my mother started bitching, as always.

"I have plans, Patricia. Fucking your husband every night till the day he dies is one of them," I thought with a secret smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

"Don't start, mother. It's too early," I said, irritated. She scoffed and passed me a cup of coffee.

"You even look hungover. Sometimes I wonder if you were not replaced in the hospital as a baby with my real child," she complained, as always. I rolled my eyes and drank the coffee.

As I sipped the coffee my mother handed me, a strange sensation washed over me. It tasted bitter, and a sense of drowsiness started to cloud my mind. Confusion and alarm filled my thoughts as I realized something was not right. My eyelids grew heavy, and my body felt sluggish. Panic surged through me as I struggled to stay awake, but it was futile.

I woke up to a strange heaviness in my chest, a sense of unease settling over me like a fog. As I shook off the grogginess, the emptiness within me grew more pronounced. Confusion swirled in my mind as I reached for my abdomen, seeking solace but finding only an intensified feeling of loss.

Memories of the past days flickered through my mind, fragmented and distorted. I could recall conversations with my mother, but beyond that, there was a void. Something important had happened, but I couldn't piece it together. Panic surged through me as I discovered a thick sanitary pad in my panties.

"No... What is happening?" I stammered, my voice trembling with fear. Nightmarish fragments invaded my thoughts—an operating room, masked faces, and excruciating pain. It clashed with the present reality, leaving me devastated and confused. Tears welled up in my eyes as the weight of betrayal crushed down upon me.

I stumbled out of bed, my legs weak and unsteady. The room spun around me as I approached the mirror, desperately searching for answers in my own reflection. Wide-eyed and lost, I could only see the pain and anguish etched on my face. How could I not have known? How could my mother have done this to me?

The air in the room grew thick with unspoken secrets, suffocating me. I needed answers. With trembling hands, I reached for my phone and dialed my mother's number, my voice shaking with a mix of anger and despair.

"M-Mom?" I managed to stammer, tears streaming down my cheeks. "What did you do?! What did you do?!" I screamed the words echoing with a mixture of accusation and pain.

The door to my room swung open, and my mother entered accompanied by Victor's guards and his doctor. Panic surged through me as I tried to escape, but I was quickly overpowered. A hand covered my mouth, silencing my cries for help. I felt a sharp prick on my forearm, and the effects of the injection spread through my body like poison. Powerless, I was carried back to bed and gently tucked in by my mother.

"You can leave us now. She just needs more time," I heard my mother say to the guards before the door closed behind them. I was trapped, alone with the woman who had betrayed me.

"You silly child," she whispered, her voice filled with anger and sadness. "All these years, you haven't learned anything. What I did, Jess, my darling, was to save your life. Do you know what happens to girls who become pregnant with Victor's child? They disappear, never to be seen again. You are my daughter, and I will not let that happen to you. Victor is dangerous, Jessica. You're just a foolish child. He allowed only one woman to carry his child, and that was Archer's mother. He told me that if I ever became pregnant, I would be buried with the child. You've forgotten who Victor truly is, but I have not. Sleep now and gather yourself. When you wake up, act as if nothing happened. If you choose to pursue Victor again, Jess, I will not intervene. That will be on you," she whispered into my ear, her warm breath mingling with my tears.

Pain and anguish coursed through my veins as I tried to make sense of the betrayal. Deep down, I knew that Victor would never hurt me. My mother was weaving a web of lies to justify her heinous act. She had taken away my baby, and now I was determined to confront her. I would tell Victor what she had done. She had killed our child, and she would face the consequences of her actions.
