Michelle and I looked at each other. There was something strange, wasn't it only the three of us here, then who was that shadow and why was it also running so fast that we could not find any traces or even its scent.
"You noticed?" she turned to me and I nodded.
It seemed my suspicion was right that there was someone chasing the two of us.
"Are you sure he is George's subordinate?" Honestly that question made me a little confused and I also did not realize that he was not George's subordinate, then how could she know, did she know something that I did not know.
"How do you know?" I asked but she suddenly told me to duck and indeed an arrow almost grazed my neck. Luckily Michelle pulled my shoulder so she also lowered my head.
"It seems there will be many enemies targeting your life," said Michelle while she immediately prepared to fight something unknown.
Several arrows shot toward us and we tried as much as possible to hold and find out where the attacker was.
I raised my sword and swung it toward the direction of the archer so that the arrow did not hit me.
The corner of my eye caught several points that were used as hiding places to shoot arrows then I immediately swung my sword downward and lifted a piece of wood using my sword then kicked the wood toward someone who was about to release an arrow toward me. And indeed a groaning sound was heard so several of them stopped attacking and slowly began to retreat.
We fell silent because it was impossible that this was just an ordinary attack and when we were discussing it suddenly the lizards came and this time there were more than before.
"Damn they are more than expected," Michelle cursed and she immediately took the dagger she carried on her thigh. She tore her pants and took both daggers that were stored on her thigh.
"You brought a weapon?"
"I thought you did not bring one," I said and she replied slowly.
"You never pay attention to me." The ambiguous answer made me silent.
Several soldiers immediately blocked us and they wore masks so we did not recognize them but it turned out they were from the human clan so I could recognize their faces.
They pointed their swords at us, there were about ten people surrounding us.
They attacked one another and attacked me very skillfully and quickly. We both immediately held them back remembering that we were in a labyrinth we had to get out of here because there was no time left for us to save George or Alrich.

One by one the soldiers fell. Defeated by the two of us and the remaining now were five people so we still had to try to kill them.
One of them almost stabbed my stomach but I jumped up and the sword did not hit my stomach but instead hit Mishael's hand.
When Michelle was off guard someone was about to stab her from behind and I immediately threw my sword toward that person so it pierced his chest and the sword did not hit Michelle from behind.
"Michelle watch out."

With heavy breathing I immediately approached Michelle. I grabbed her hand covered in blood when she was about to speak.
"You are injured in this fight!" I said to her and she shook her head.
"It is nothing let's finish all these damned creatures," she said but I looked at her. In front of us there were only four people left and I exhaled roughly.
I walked toward the soldier who was pierced by my sword then I stabbed him again deeper and looked at the four remaining soldiers. The four soldiers did not retreat instead they raised their swords high as if they wanted to avenge their friends' deaths but of course that did not make me want to give up easily because it was possible they were people controlled by demons or sorcerers.
"Clean your wound let me handle all of them," I said while holding her injured hand and she tried to shake her head but I looked at her gently.
After I pulled my sword I immediately ran forward and attacked the four soldiers brutally.
They were a little overwhelmed facing my attacks but I did not want to slow down, one by one I struck them and one by one they fell to the ground.

I looked at the ten soldiers who had fallen and I immediately turned to the back where Michelle was but when I realized Mishael was injured. I ran, my sword dripping with their blood and the foul smell spread.
"You will lose blood," I said to her when I saw her bleeding and I immediately lifted her hand to check her pulse and indeed she felt weaker.
"It seems there is another wound… on your body," I said slowly at the end of the sentence and she nodded while holding the side of her stomach.
"Yes it feels like I was stabbed by them," she said while holding the right side of her stomach and I immediately touched it and indeed there was blood seeping from her stomach and hurriedly I took the bag she carried.
I looked for antiseptic first to stop the bleeding then at that moment I froze.
'I do not know where to treat it from, how, because the position is on her stomach so I hesitated and it seemed Michelle realized it so she slowly removed her clothes.
I turned my face away not wanting to see something that was not mine. She seemed struggling to remove her outer clothes. I was confused.
It seemed Michelle unbuttoned her clothes and I immediately faced her again even though there was hesitation in my eyes but there was no other choice but to help her.
"I am sorry but I do not mean to look at anything improper," I said honestly but that made Michelle hit my head with her left hand.

"You are the one thinking strange things I am not." I scratched my head where she hit me and she immediately told me to remove her outer clothes.
"Alright I will not think strange things. I only want to help you." After that I removed her clothes even though she looked struggling. One minute passed and finally she removed her outer clothes leaving only her inner clothes.
I looked at her stomach where there was indeed a mark of a sword stab and I immediately applied medicine to stop the bleeding. She winced softly and I felt something was wrong.
"Wait… this looks like poison coming out of your body?" I said unsure but I had smelled it several times but I could not identify what type of poison was in her body.
"Really?" she was also a little worried but I stayed silent still thinking about what poison it was.
"We have to find George so we can really treat you," I said and she shook her head because she was afraid something might happen.
"No Xanders. We must save them first because this concerns all clans that depend on the human clan," Michelle said rejecting my statement but I inhaled and exhaled slowly because Michelle was a woman with strong endurance so I had no choice but to follow what she wanted but I was still worried about her condition.
"We do not know what poison is in your body."
"What if something happens to you?" I asked but she remained silent and sighed roughly.
"All clans depend on the human clan if I am gone it does not affect anyone but if the human clan falls then everything will fall," Michelle said with a passionate and angry tone but I did not want to force her so I stayed silent looking around.
"Yes hopefully we can finish this then we will find a way to cure the poison."
After that I stopped the bleeding and also wrapped her wound using a clean cloth that had been prepared earlier by Alex.
It took fifteen minutes to properly treat Michelle and when we were done we approached the bodies of the soldiers lying on the ground.
I removed their masks and indeed they were humans who allied with demons or sorcerers but there was a mark behind their ears when I realized this was the symbol of a demon which meant they were people who had been possessed by demons and the demon marked them with a black color behind their neck so people would not notice it considering men or women have long hair.
"As you suspected they are humans who are conspiring with demons," Michelle said and I nodded and after that we continued again.
"Disgusting humans. How could they cooperate with those who will destroy their own land," Michelle muttered in a low voice but I still heard it clearly.
