The Flower Is Finished Chapter 74

At first George did not recognize my voice and he was still focused on the insects but for the second time I called his name and suddenly he immediately stopped for the last insect he killed and not forgetting after that he immediately stabbed the sword he carried into the insect so that the insect immediately died on the spot. Blood also immediately splattered around these narrow walls which indicated that the bloodshed this time really consumed blood and this was also the first time I saw various kinds of creatures that I thought did not exist in this world.

"George… is that really you?"

but George immediately stopped his fight after he managed to finish all the insects and there were some insects that ran away from us. George immediately walked toward me and he immediately raised both his hands and bowed politely toward me. He also looked surprised when he saw my presence here.

I approached in a hurry and he also seemed to realize what I wanted so he did not protest even though it would hurt his legs.

George approached and we both approached each other.

"Sir finally I found you!" he said while bowing his head and his hands folded on his chest while I immediately looked at George's struggle.

"Behave yourself do not be like that." I said firmly but he shook his head.

"How did you know?" I asked curiously because I did not find any gap or wall that had a door so how did he come and bring fire which he planted into the ground so that the insects stayed here and some also left this place. but even so there were some insects that still fought George.

"I forgot him!" he said while scratching his head that was not itchy then Daniel immediately approached George and patted his thigh.

"Uncle forgot me?" Daniel asked with dissatisfaction and George scratched his head again. George cleared his throat to answer Daniel's question.

"Where did you come in from?" I asked remembering that I really did not see any door and he immediately pointed to a room that had a fairly large space and when it got deeper the room became narrower and it seemed we passed a hidden door so George immediately told that there was a room or door that was not visible but it was connected to the Hall or the palace.

"I entered through a door before this path became narrow. actually I also forgot him so I wanted to go back and accidentally found you." we nodded and we also realized our carelessness so I did not want to scold him or find out more because we also did not have enough time and in addition time was getting closer to the moonlight so we had to hurry to leave and maybe secure some of the people that George had gathered.

"How about the others?" I asked remembering there might be some hostages he saved but he immediately became silent and bowed roughly.

"Sir I truly apologize to you because I could not take responsibility for the trust you gave me." he bowed his head again and I sighed roughly because as I expected this time it had indeed failed but we were only able to save some people from the Elf clan.

"We managed to escape. But after that we were also attacked by those insects so some were injured and some also died when fighting the insects."

"We tried to fight but it seems it was not possible so we hid here. At first we also did not realize there was a connected door." hearing George's explanation I understood what he meant.

"So you brought them here and monitored what happened from outside?" and he nodded then I asked again.

"How many did you find?" I asked and he scratched his body that was not itchy and looked at me hesitantly.

"We were separated and it seems there was someone who provoked us so we got separated but when we decided to move suddenly we were attacked by those insects and we also panicked like you."

"And after that some managed to escape, some were eaten and some were injured." after listening carefully to what George said I immediately looked at the dead insects on the ground and I approached and turned one over.

The insect had small and sharp teeth so we did not realize that the bite was dangerous.

"Do you know this type of insect?" I asked because this was also my first time but George shook his head as well as Michelle.

"Why are they here?" that question made all of us silent and think how animals that do not live in the Elf clan could be here.

"Alright I will take you to our defense place." after that George led us and he also carried Daniel and looked at Michelle who I was still carrying.

"Why are you always carrying her?" and Michelle scratched her head that was not itchy while I did not want to answer his question.

"Let's just go quickly from here." I answered while following George's steps going upward.

When we reached the door that George meant suddenly the door opened and there were several injured people there.

My eyes were amazed when I saw several people who were badly injured and they also could not be treated because there was no medicine to treat the insect bites.

The distance between the door and them was actually close so why did we not hear anything even their cries were very loud when the door opened.

"You did not hear it at all?" George asked and I shook my head followed by Michelle.

"Uncle I already told you there was a sound but you still did not believe me!" hearing Daniel's words I suddenly realized maybe the hearing sense of the Elf clan was sharper than ours so I admitted it was my mistake.

"I might not be focused so I apologize for ignoring your warning." I said but Daniel still rolled his eyes lazily and bowed slightly toward the injured people.

Michelle told me to put her down and she started treating the injured people while I watched her.

George tapped my shoulder lightly and I turned to him.

"What relationship do you have with her?" he asked while crossing his arms and looking at Michelle who was treating the injured.

"She is my partner!" my answer did not satisfy him so he chuckled softly.

"Sir I know you very well. We just met but I saw you are cold and indifferent so why with her you seem to care?" I did not want to answer and I walked toward Michelle while George chuckled behind me.

"Let's treat them while the medicine still exists." I said leaving George and started helping Michelle one by one.

Because the situation became a little calmer we decided to leave but suddenly someone vomited black blood so I approached and checked his neck and he had died after vomiting the black liquid.

"What happened to him?" Michelle asked approaching but I immediately told her not to come closer because I felt he was using poison and it was very dangerous.

"I hope you do not come near him." she followed my order and looked at the others who also began to vomit dark red liquid. whispers came out from some mouths but I told them to stay silent.

"Can you all be quiet?" after I said that suddenly it became silent and I checked his eyes. I was shocked when I saw his eyes had no pupils and he was no longer like a human or an Elf.

"Hah…." I was really shocked and George approached me.

"What happened?" he asked and I told him to open the man's eyes. he was also shocked after seeing it.

"There are things that are difficult to explain but I hope you do not tell this to anyone including your family." George stood and told the survivors and they nodded because their lives were the most important now.

"What should we do with him?" George asked and I was also confused how to stop it from spreading.

"Maybe we must bury them." there was no other choice and George widened his eyes.

"Are you sure Sir?"

"There is no other choice."

"Prepare some people who are still able to dig so we can be faster." George obeyed and some people complained but they still dug a large hole to bury those infected.

It took one hour to bury them and fortunately we were faster than expected so we hurried to leave and closed the door.

"I am sorry for failing to save you." I said while bowing politely and after that we slowly left the place. the underground room that made me meet giant insects with poison.

We followed the map we had but some parts were unclear so we had to turn around to find the exit.

"Our journey is still long." I said while looking forward and speaking softly.

"What did you say?" Michelle asked and I shook my head.

"Nothing."
