Maximiliano's P.O.V.
"After my speech , I then realized my wife is nowhere to be found. Wow the word "Wife" really sounds foreign but comes with a sensation and feeling of joy and happiness.
"Before Caitlin was in my life everything appeared bleak to me but then she came marching and barging into my life and my home bringing in me something I thought I had lost, joy and hope .
"Max ... Honey"A familiar voice says I mentally cringed because I know that voice all too well .
"Aurora"I turned staring at the very deceptive and beautiful woman but not as beautiful as my Cathy.
"Baby why don't we leave this boring party and go back to my hotel room, then I can give you something you've been missing"She says moving too close for comfort the smell of excess body spray and perfume begin to burn my retina as tears threaten to spill.
"I cough out trying to take deep gasp of air, her scent is too strong unlike Caitlin's pure womanly scent.
"Aurora I'd like it if you could give me some space to breathe"i finally say grimly as I stepped back a bit. Searching around for that one familiar face I seek.
"There you go again, you're looking for that bitch aren't you"She screams with the look of pure anger and contempt.
"Hey hold your tongue, who are you calling a bitch? Am a Badass darn good lawyer who's going to very soon put you behind bars just after I poop out this baby of mine"A very angry pain laced determined voice says behind me .
"I reeled back in shock as I stared at a very angry and pissed off Caitlin looking all dishelved. I could see the pain and fear laced in her face as she musters up a fake mask of determination .
"My blood suddenly ran cold, something is damn wrong ..."I thought to myself as I rush to her side.
Caitlin's P.O.V
"I could feel the pain around my abdomen growing rapidly I managed to lift myself off the ground placing a hand on my stomach then walking slowly to find my husband.
"Am going to make sure Aurora's pays for this , I step out of the ladies longue then walked slowly into the ballroom I could feel pains shooting over my legs .
"Am not going to fall in Aurora's trap, she might actually think she's won but I refuse to lose my baby over some jealous golddigger.
"I struggled searching frantically for Max who seems nearly nowhere in sight. Then I saw a peek of Aurora's vivid attention seeking gown, my instincts knew right away that Max must be close by .
"I walk a little swiftly but then I felt a sharp pain at the lower part of my region pulling me back.
"C'mon baby I know you're in a hurry to meet Mommy but you've got to let me get to your Daddy first before deciding to push your way out"I coo softly although the ballroom is a little bit packed but thankfully they easily recognized me and cleared the part which thanks the Gods made it easier for me.
"Then I heard that same annoying voice say,
"There you go again, you're looking for that bitch again aren't you?"Aurora Says, damn she really thinks she stands a chance with Max , well am not going down without a fight just yet. Annoyed she still dare call me a bitch after attempting to kill me I say...
"Hey Hold your filthy tongue, who are you calling a bitch?, am a Badass darn good lawyer who gonna very well put you behind bars for attempting to kill me and my baby"I scream out annoyed as hell at her for pulling that nasty trick....
"As if Max could read my thought or maybe he noticed the look on torment on my face.
"He rushed to my side...
"I don't know what's happening. It's too early but the baby is coming ..."I murmur...
"Hospital"I felt another wave of contractions as I scream out.
"You tired to kill her?"Max asks in disbelief.
"Let's skip that part, the baby is coming"I finally letting.
"Take me to the hospital Max" I gasp out as yet another pain rippled in a wave across my lower body, returning stronger and faster than I had expected and experienced earlier on.
"My contractions have started again. Our baby's going to get here first after that then we deal with Aurora."I say grimacing in pain
"Momentarily, Max gave me a look of consternation, shock and worry but then he unfroze and wasted no time in summoning assistance.
"Events moved fast from that point , pretty sure all the attention was on me now but I seriously don't care all I want is to push my baby out.
Everything passed by a blur as Max summoned his security details to take Aurora to Police custody. He continued barking out orders then moved me to the car gently speeding away to the nearest hospital.
"All my emotions keeps flickering everywhere am so frightened for my child but Max made an enormous effort to keep me calm , this was definitely not how I wanted my delivery to go. I might not be the religious type but God please help me save me and my baby."I thought praying silently...
"I'm thankful , Max is with me because I don't know if I can do this without him. He's my strength and assurance and has helped me a great deal ,Clad in blue theatre scrubs, he held my hand throughout the procedure of my delivery and talking to me through every step of the way as I pushed like my life depended on it.
"I could hear his soft whispers, and murmurs of love in his language I couldn't even comprehend.
"He looks very pale, nervous and scared but he remained strong for me as I kept a solid hold on his arm pushing out our baby.
"The delivery went without a hitch. Only in that instant after Max and I first saw our daughter did I fully appreciate how much of a front he could put up and how worth while everything has been and that his anxiety had been equal to mine, for his stunning dark deep-set eyes were lustrous with tears.
"She looks so tiny and small, cute and beautiful. Looking all red faced and soft with her beautiful pink baby lips, just watching her sleep and cry made me fall in love all over again.
"Our newborn infant was checked over and cleaned up with great care by the nurses and doctors.
"She had slight breathing problems"I was scared at first but the doctor reassured me that it's just temporary.
"My baby was immediately placed in an incubator and whisked away since it was still a bit early for my delivery , just to be safe the doctor decided to put her in an incubator.
"It's a baby girl......"I thought dreamily....
"I was returned to my room after the whole procedure, tired but happy I was able to bring my lovely daughter into this world, even if I haven't held her yet I still love her very much .
"I'd like to call our daughter Claire"I say softly keen to personalise our child with a name, so that even if I couldn't hold the tiny girl at that moment I could feel closer to her.
"Clarissa?
"Yes".
"Clarissa Arielle Giovanni"I murmur.
"You did good, "Deliza Mia"He murmurs in his usual perfect voice .
"The effects of stress, exhaustion and medication were steadily piling up on me and making my eyes very heavy.
Before sleep begins to lure me in,
I heard a whisper and felt a warm kiss on my head.
"I love you "Agape mou"....
