The Moonstone's Owner Chapter 13

Faye's Point of View.

Falling down STRAIGHT from stairs is like it could pass to America's Got Talent contest, and I need the reward now. Damion and I fell down at the same time but were later tossed in an opposite way when we reached the bottom.

"What is that noise?!" the prison guard asked.

I was stuttering to answer him, I don't even know how to start making words. When I looked at Damion, he was calmer than I am. Pretty sure, he's been here and was not surprised to see this hidden basement.

"What the hell, Faye, come on up!" he whispered while his teeth were sticking as if he was about to yell but couldn't do it.

Damion pulled me up, as our chains resounded. When we got up, the stupid chains tripped Damion, resulting to trip me too.

Now, I'm on top of him.

The prison guard came in.

He looks like he was about to punch Damion. I don't understand how he looked right now, it's just blunt and confusing. It speaks volumes of emotions I couldn't fathom.

He went outside without a word. I was still mesmerized, staring blankly at the door.

Damion got up. I almost hit my head on the ground, but he caught it.

GOSH. How the hell could he do this to me? To be this hot all of the time is the kind of talent only he had.

I shook my head to remove that thought from my mind.

"See? There's a secret basement downstairs. I know they know about it, but what they didn't know is we've discovered that" Damion started.

"What is your plan?" I asked.

"I don't know yet, but later tonight, when the guard is asleep, let's go down and check if there's any metal key to unlock these chains in our ankle."

"What if tonight will be our judgment? I mean, you know, what we saw earlier. What if it's our time to be a dinner or a corpse? God dam it, Damion!"

Too many circumstances completely destroy my critical thinking ability. I wanted to get out of here without any solid plans. There's a hundred percent chance I would be their delicious dessert. Come on, this face I had has too much charisma, and it's harder to deny it now that I'm in a complete human form.

"Have you forgotten who you are? Who I am? I'm Beta of the top werewolf packs in the universe. I could defeat them. Use your so-called beauty to get away too."

I chortled sarcastically and pushed him away. Crossing my arms and raising my brow, I said, "It's not a so-called kind of thing, Damion."

"It is, at least for me."

"What is wrong with you?" I asked. "I don't know why I couldn't read your thoughts, and it's sickening me. Why the hell are you acting the total opposite of your actions?"

He rolled his eyes and got up. He peeked outside and ignored what I asked.

"Hello?!" I yelled. "Is there anyone here who could hear me?!"

Damion is not responding. He was too busy peeking, planning all things regarding our escape without giving me noticed about it. But I'm not getting tired to give him a lot more problems than he already has.

When I went behind him, I poked his head and pulled a little of his hair, then looked away. I did it again and again until he boils up.

I was about to do it, but as I looked at him, Damion started to walk toward me which caused me to walk backward. As we reached the end, he locked his hands on the wall.

"I don't like you. Please keep that in mind and never ask me again."

Ouch.

A simple statement hurt me. B-but- but why?

"But I'm your mate."

"Who cares? No one. I don't like you, so don't like me too. If you already did, then stop growing those stupid feelings of yours. You're just getting swayed by the fact that you found your mate."

Tears started approaching.

"Then why did you kiss me?"

A door suddenly opened, which halted Damion from responding.

"Come with me, Faye."

3rd Point of View.

High ceiling, red curtains, and black colors. The dark aura filled the hallway, with scattered blood on the side. With every step, there's this pungent smell of blood, near to getting rotten.

At the end of the hallway, two bouncers await- both wearing sunglasses despite the dark features that can all be seen anywhere you look.

The Alpha King together with his wife walks, and the bouncer welcomes them. The wife named Curly was on her full smile after hearing such news that only selective wolves will get happy.

"Are they here?" Alpha King asked.

The bouncer on the left nodded bluntly, bringing a smile to Alpha King's lips.

"I've been waiting for this my whole life," Alpha King whispered to his wife. He halted and fixed his tie then.

"I, too, waited for this. So don't forget to give me what's right for me."

"I won't forget you, Darling. We've come this far."

These two snakes in the grass came in elegantly, Lucy welcomed the two as she bowed. Alpha Huandro was present too, at the side of his daughter.

The room was empty, and only four of them are present. There's a wooden table in the center, surrounded by wooden chairs. It has a red cloth covering it that looks so elegant. The red curtains are closed.

"So, it looks like you're ready to betray your own husband," Alpha King started. "I'm glad."

"It's not a thing you should be glad to know."

Alpha King chuckled as well as Curly. It's like they were too happy that it caused them to look crazy.

"It's funny. I could hear the voice inside of you shouting you should've kept quiet because you couldn't stand up with what you've decided to do."

Alpha Huandro banged the table while tightening his grip. He sharply looked at him.

"As far as I'm concerned, we've gathered here for the sake of the moonstone. Kindly separate your hidden anger toward my daughter."

"Why would I? She's the reason my son become a shit like this. Look at him, he's like a wild dog when he loses his daughter. It looks like anytime now, he wouldn't be able to shift into human form. Looks like it's his wife's fault for turning her back against him."

Alpha Huandro couldn't breathe Alpha King's words in anymore. He grips Alpha King's collar, rested him on the ground, and was about to punch him in the face. But the bouncer came in to interfere. Alpha Huandro escorted Lucy outside the building, grunting in anger.

No words came out as he walked out. He knows any minute now that the bouncer will come and get them back for a squishy talk, so he has to move faster. He shifted and put Lucy on his back.

They get away easily, then Alpha Huandro put Lucy down who was now bathed in tears.

"I never wanted this, Pa," she started.

"Let me take the blame, then. I will take Faye."

"How? If she's out of reach?"

--

Alpha King was infuriated. Inside the clandestine room which was placed in the basement as well, he was in his wolf form.

His fangs drool.

"So embarrassing, Joseph. Stop it. Like Jacob, you're becoming obsessed," Curly snarled, as she elegantly sipped her wine.

"I'M YOUR KING, CURLY! CALL ME ALPHA KING!"

"AND I'M YOUR LUNA, YOUR WIFE!" Curly yelled back, shifting to her wolfed form. It instantly hid the tail of Joseph, or Alpha King, like a dog.

He went out of the building.

"Sir, there's a call from the bandits."

"Don't answer."

"But they captured an important werewolf."

His eyes brighten, realizing it could be something he would love to see.

"Let me check," Alpha King commanded.

The bouncer have him the tablet which listed all the captured individuals.

He almost got angry, until the last pages showed him what he wanted.

Faye's Point of View.

A few hours after he told me hurtful words, silence remained surrounding this place. Fortunately, I'm not afraid not to see my parents anymore. I know, they will come and get me sooner or later.

But this, this heart is a traitor. For the love of God, he's making me curious and interested in him even more, after being rude to me.

I was born a masochist, maybe.

"Now is the time," he finally spoke.

He pulled my hand and we went downstairs, while he held, on the other hand, a little lamp that he later flickered when we went down.

A bunch of metals is all here. What's dark is the loud whimpering I could hear. I don't even know where is it coming from.

"I knew there was a key here."

I wasn't talking as he spoke just to let him lead the way. Maybe, as a Beta, he knows what he was doing.

Sirens started to resound when he came near to me to unlock the chains. Damion instantly hid the key under his pants, at the exact time when the prison guard came in to pull my hand.

"Let's go."
