The Runaway Huntress

In "The Runaway Huess," a tense confrontation unfolds as a powerful male figure declares, "I'm done playing nice, mate," his voice a chilling threat. He desires Melisca's submission, believing her rightful place is beside him for protection. Melisca, however, sees only burning lava in his blood-red eyes, her fear overshadowed by fury at his demands. He asserts, "You are my fated mate. My luna. Your rightful place should be right by my side, not running around spilling blood." Melisca's face contorts with anger; if looks could kill, his head would be severed. She retorts, "I don't want to be Luna for the people I hate." Despite his ability to easily break her neck, her courage, or perhaps her foolishness, overrides her sense of self-preservation.
