“Double apology. More offences.” Kate thundered as she fired
Aiden a big scorching glare.
Oh, her potential
boss is the person that broke her phone? Tore her dress? And…
“Oh, you haven’t
given her the I.D?” Mike asked and both Kate and Aiden traded glances
again.
And…her potential
arrogant boss is the one that
took her I.D, made her interview
unsuccessful and kept her waiting for nearly eight hours in a club.
Yikes!
Uh…Kate yawned out loud. Aiden turned to face Kate, the
words oozing off his lips quickly.
“So you're the girl that deliberately left your I.D at the restaurant so I can return it? Hell, bird, you
don’t know who you’re messing with.” He stated.
“And you don’t know
what in hell I can do to you.” Kate hollered.
“C'mon guys, take things easy.” Mike stepped up, wanting to
put an end to the argument but Kate quickly
shoved out her broken phone and danced it in front of Aiden.
“You see. You equally
broke my cellphone. Double, million offences."
She’d rather find another job than leave this man to scott
free after so many offenses. Well, Kate doesn’t
practically want to give up on
working at Brazzers but she sure as well
will give Aiden his own cup of tea.
“I didn’t break
that.”
“Yes, you did.”
“No. I didn’t. You just want my money, spill the beans.”
“Who the hell needs your money?” Kate barked.
“Who else? It’s obviously
you.”
Mike had had enough of the banter, so he reached Aiden and
tugged his shoulder.
“Dude, C'mon just settle her.” He told Aiden who scoffed.
Aiden faced Mike and ranted. “Told you she just needed my money. Didn’t even know why I agreed to giving her the shitty I.D.”
Aiden fiercely dunk
his hand into his pocket and slid out
the I.D, swinging it in front of Kate.
Narrowing her eyes into slits, she snatched the I.D from him
and snapped. “Asshole.”
Aiden wanted to fire
her his own words but Mike gestured for him to keep cool.
“Just tip her some cash and it’s all settled.”
Mike whispered.
Aiden was unwilling
to do such but after some moments of convincing, he brought out wads of
cash from his wallet.
For a moment there,
Kate almost snatched the money and made her way out of the club but she let her
dignity surface. Instead, she took the
money and pour it on Aiden’s face.
“Keep your shitty money.” She said and turned to leave. Just
a few feet away from Mike and Aiden, Kate turned and said. “You still owe me
apologies. I swear, I won’t forget it
until you do. Asshole.” Then she skated down to the booth where she left her bag
and snatched it up.
If not for her looks, Aiden would have thought she’s the
daughter of a powerful man in Sin city
because of the power in her voice and words. However, Kate’s looks
told him otherwise.
“Damn that bitch. I’ll ensure Alex doesn’t employ her.”
Sitting back down on his seat, Aiden spat.
“Chill, man.” Mike stated. “Is she applying to work at your company?”
“Obviously.” Aiden snarled.
“Oh, wow. She got some balls.”
“Swears.” Aiden agreed.

Alex just stepped out
his car and began walking into the club,
scared of seeing Mike again. However, he bottled his tension just as he adjusted
his shirt.
When he looked at the entrance, he saw Kate zooming out from the club with a taut face. Alex’s heart
began thundering against his chest
watching the girl that makes him remember
Cheska coming towards his direction.
Kate hadn’t noticed
him, so he reached out and blocked her view.
“Hi.” He said.
“Oh, boss. Hi.” Kate panicked at first but covered her tension with a small smile. “Wasn’t expecting to see you here.” She said to him.
“Me too.” Alex allowed himself a grin. “Why do you look like someone made you vex?” He asked, eyes scanning
Kate’s face.
Honestly, this is how a good boss should behave. Sweet, gentle. Kind. And the list
goes on. Kate thought.
She in no way regard Aiden as a boss but Alex which is why
she'd never bow down to Aiden’s will.
That manipulator.
“Literally someone did.” She ground out.
“I see. Sorry about that.”
Kate manageably kept
it to herself that his brother is the
actual person that made her vex. Not that it’s
necessary.
“So…what brought you here?” He asked.
“Oh, I…uh…came to pick up something.” She said to him. She
doesn’t plan on telling him she came to retrieve her lost I.D from his annoying
twin brother.
Alex wanted to keep up with the conversation up he saw the unease on Kate’s face. Maybe she’s hurrying somewhere. Alex decided to end his
unending questions and allow the girl to leave.
Kate literally needed
it so she'd find somewhere to eat.
“Okay…uh…we'll see when you’re ready.” He said and she nodded thankfully and
sauntered away.
Alex's eyes runs the length
of Kate’s back as she
awkwardly sauntered away. Then he
gripped his heart and chest and stormed
into the club.
Alex’s eyes skidded
to the counter and he saw his brother and Mike laughing away at whatever is
amusing them while downing their shots.
He pranced over and greeted.
What’s up guys?”
Aiden first halted his shrieks of laughter and stared at his twin before Mike did.
“Hey, bro. What’s
up?” Aiden greeted as they shook
hands.
As Alex turned to shake hands with Mike, all smiles froze
from his face.
“Dude. Long time. No see.” Mike said, shaking hands with
Alex who merely nodded.
“Yeah. How's life?” Alex asked, taking a seat beside Mike.
“Oh, shitty but nothing we can’t handle.” Mike ordered a drink
for Alex. “Heard Brazzers is topping the
list of biggest porn company now. You guys are doing incredibly great.”
“All credit goes to Alex not me.” Aiden chirped with a
grin. “He plays his elder brother role
quite well.”
‘Alex barely laughed.
They all began to discuss
about their life after Mike
traveled to Ireland.
“Bro, you won’t
believe it.” Aiden chirped,
directing his gaze at Alex. Of course, Mike knows what Aiden’s about to say and whispered a laugh. “Mike
here is about to get married. In two months time.”
Alex gaped at Mike as Aiden slurred. “Oh, yes bro. Fucking
yes.”
“Wow…uh…Congrats, man.” Alex said, shaking Mike who laughed
uncontrollably.
They resorted to discussions
about Mike’s wedding and his
consulting firm until Aiden excused
himself to use the restroom.
Just then, Mike looked over at Alex.
“Have you confessed?” He asked with a firm tone and Alex
jittered.
Alex dropped the drink he was holding and turned to fully
face Mike.
“Dude you know I can’t. I just…”
“He deserves to know.
What kind of a twin brother are you,
Alex?” Mike’s inflection is harsh and
Alex can’t help but cringe.
“I know I’m worthless…”
“Fucking yes, you’re.” Mike intercepted him again and Alex dropped his head
between his shoulders, heart hammering.
“it’s been fucking
years now. And you still can’t open up
to your blood?” Another blow from Mike.
Alex couldn’t stop
counting those years of his betrayal to
Aiden. It wrecked him inside out.
However, it was more easier to forget
since Mike was away but knowing he’s
full-on back has Alex recounting the years of backstabbing his twin.
“Listen.” Mike ordered, drawing Alex’s attention. “Once he steps out, I’m telling
him…”
Hearing, that Alex raised his head up and spat. “No, you
can’t. Mike c'mon.”
While they were discussing, Aiden began trotting back towards the bar.
Looking past Alex’
shoulder, Mike said. “I'll. Just watch and see.”
Alex traded glances from Aiden’s direction and back at Mike and he
quickly sputtered out of desperation. “I'll
do whatever you want, Mike. Anything.”
Mike cut his eyes back at Alex and narrowed his eyes.
“Seriously?”
“I'll, I fucking will.”
That has a smile ghosting Mike’s lips. “Fine then…”
Before Aiden reached them, Mike slipped out his phone and
typed his demands to Alex.
Reading that, Alex’s eyes dilated. “What?” He asked and Mike nodded.
“Yes.”
To Mike this is his best opportunity but to Alex this is a
big blackmail that will bring trouble more
between him and Aiden.
