The Unknown Chapter 13

Gnanam's words and grief immediately affected Selvarangan and Uday. Selvarangan was trying hard not to cry. Uday's eyes widened with tears slightly at his mother's grief. He said as he hugged his mother.

“Don’t cry. Nothing would have happened to my brother. He will come. ”

Senthilnathan was moved by the scene. The real words from the mother's heart, the grief of the parents, the affectionate words of the brother were all heartfelt expressions of a loving family. It seemed now that the young man, who thought he was wild, was not as wild as he thought.

Gnanam calmed down a bit. She wiped her eyes. Selvarangan saw Senthilnathan as 'continue please'.

"Sir, do you have any personal enemies?" Senthilnathan asked.

"No"

Selvarangan said without thinking. It seemed to Senthilnathan that he must have answered that question after thinking.

He asked softly.

"Is there any aide, servant, party member who has left after a while, even worthy of your trust?"

Selvarangan nodded no. Selvarangan, who had come to politics from the grassroots, treated those close to him well. Never treated anyone with contempt except to get angry. He was also generous with them in giving. So there have never been occasions when close men have left.

Senthilnathan looked at Uday. He nodded as if his father was right.

"Why did Karthi go to that mountain?"

Selvarangan wondered with embarrassment what to say. Then said openly.

"He was always researching or studying something. I think it will be something like that when he go to that mountain. We do not ask for anything from him. We do not understand what he is saying. ”

Senthilnathan looked at Uday as if you know something. Uday summed up their situation.

"If he was doing something unique occasionally, we will be interested to know about it. What can be done if everything is different? I had asked him about one or two things about his research in the beginning. I did not understand what he was saying. As soon as he understood my lack of understanding, he tried to explain again. But that too was confusing to the point of dizziness. That's why I stopped asking him about his researches.”

Senthilnathan looked at Gnanam. Gnanam said.

"He is an educated person. If he doesn’t understand what I will understand. I don’t complain about anything either. When I had heard about the paranormal activities on this hillside, I just said be careful. He said, "Would it be nice if there was a ghost there, it would be nice. I wish to research atleast one ghost in my life."

Senthilnathan underlined her phrase "did the devil exist" in his mind. If so there must have been something else out there. He has gone on to research it.

"Does he go to that mountain often?"

Gnanam said, “Karthi visits that mountain on ever new moon day.”

As soon as she remembered another piece of information, she turned to her eldest son.

"People told ghosts were roaming there on new moon day only. Do you think he is possessed by a demon? ”

Uday had a mischievous smile on his face. He forgot Senthilnathan for a moment.

"Possessed by demon means?"

"Ghost might have made him unconscious and taken him somewhere else"

"If he had been taken like that, the ghost would have screamed and run away from your boy as soon as he came back to conscious, since it could not answer his questions."

Gnanam looked at her eldest son with false anger and a smile on her face.

Senthilnathan could not help but admire those who had shared grief with tears a little while ago and now forgot about it for a moment. They are good loving people.

Uday immediately realized his presence and said "Sorry".

Senthilnathan looked at him and smiled for the first time.

"It’s okay. Can you tell me when he will go there ere and come back? ”

"He will leave home in the afternoon. He will be back the next day at nine o'clock in the morning. ” Gnanam said.

Thinking for a few seconds, Senthilnathan asked.

“It is possible that Karthi might have talked about his research with his close friends. Can you tell the names of his close friends?”

"Nirmal Akash and Harini are his closest friends. Awesome people and classmates to him. Studying at IIT, ”said Uday.

Selvarangan said. “Manish is my friend’s son. Son of Minister Parthasarathy. Good boy ”

The grey haired man was with Nirmal Akash.

"Senthilnathan will come to talk to you next time. The guy is a trouble. Beware of him. Speak carefully. ”

Nirmal Akash nodded in agreement.

"When your father is returning from Singapore?"

"By noon tomorrow."

"What did he say about Karthi’s affair?"

"Like you said, he told me to be careful. He also doesn’t like Senthilnathan. ”

"Did he tell anything else?"

Nirmal Akash nodded no and knew the disappointment of his father. Coming from Singapore, their real plan was to go straight to Karthi's house from the airport and pay their last respects to him. Karthi’s sudden disappearance has now changed everything. If their previous plan had worked out, Karthi's death would have been by a snake bite. But now it has become the missing person case that led to questioning all those close to him. Senthilnathan may come looking for him anytime. Since Karthi did not die as planned, Nirmal Akash was angry with him.

Grey haired man yawned. Having been waiting for the news of Karthi's death without sleeping properly last night now he has his eyes started closing itself. Nirmal Akash noticed it and left.

“Okay you take rest. We will talk tomorrow. "

“I will come in the evening. Watch your words, if Senthilnathan came before that. ”

“How many times will this man say what he has already said? Will this kind of problem come with age?” Nirmal Akash left wondering.

When he was gone he locked the door fell asleep immediately. He had no idea how long he would be asleep. It was only when his cell phone finally started ringing in higher volume he woke up.

Closing his eyes as if he could not come out of sleep completely, he crawled with his hands and held the cell phone in his hand.

"Hello"

He completely woke up from his sleep when he heard a strange ghost sound on his cell phone.

"Who the hell is playing with me? I challenge you to come in front of me” he shouted.

At the other end there is no answer. He said angrily.

“You don’t have to come. I will come there myself. Definitely I will see that you are finished ”

Call was disconnected. Grey haired man immediately contacted the man who had been instructed to trace out the call from hired killer's cell phone.
