The Unknown Chapter 67

Manohar came straight to the point.

"Your uncle did not finish the bargain yet. He is going to save a few crores. Time is running out or else it will be too late. Even if Rajathurai dies, you will not be able to become the Chief Minister. Finish the bargain within half a day”

ParthaSarathy lose his control at this warning.

"I'm talking now Sir"

He cut off the link without any reply. Even in that A.C. ParthaSarathy found it a little harder to regain his composure than to sweat all over his body for a few seconds on the porch. No matter how much credit RamaKrishna has, it will never be enough for him. He has never been able to change the mindset of trying to get all the work done at minimal cost.

ParthaSarathy scolded his uncle in his mind and walked a little distance away from everyone and called his uncle and told him Manohar's information.

"Uncle, don't save crores and end my political career."

RamaKrishna is a miser not stupid.

"Tell me the business will be over in two hours," he said briefly. The life became normal again for ParthaSarathy.

Karthi asked as he came back to the veranda. "What Uncle, are you sick?"

ParthaSarathy managed by saying, “myself and your father are still worried about what happened to our beloved brother”

Karthi moved away with a smile. He knows that he is not nervous about anything but his own business. He went near brother and he sat down. Karthi was watching the situation while Uday was looking at something on his mobile phone. None of the ministers there were genuinely concerned except his father. Perhaps if Rajathurai had been an ordinary man there would have been more loved ones in the crowd gathered here.

Rajathurai is a very good man. Even after his criticism he never got angry at him. He acted as if he had done nothing wrong to Rajathurai unless Selvarangan scolded him. Selvarangan had said that he showed personal concern for him even he went missing. It was heartbreaking for him that such a man was fighting for his life. If he recovers he should thank him directly.

Suddenly he heard a hour glass percussion sound. Stunned he looked around. No one seems to notice any change. Uday, who was sitting nearby, did not even look away from his mobile phone. Only then did he realize that the roar was only heard by him. His heartbeat was faster. When listened with intent, the sound didn’t seem to be a good omen. It seemed the sound was coming from graveyard as if announcing the death of someone inside the intensive care unit. He shuddered. He pressed his brother's thigh.

Uday looked at his brother.

"Are you okay?"

Karthi said in a low voice.

"He's dead"

Uday looked at his brother in shock.

"What are you saying?"

Karthi closed his eyes without answering. ParthaSarathy, who was sitting a little distance away, was staring at Kris. He did not understand the reason for his change of face and the shock of Uday. He rang the phone. Manohar… ..! He picked up the phone fast and spoke.

"Hello"

"Rajadurai is dead. Chief Minister,” he concluded in a single sentence. It took him a few seconds to get the message across exactly in his mind. RamaKrishna's phone call came when the message got across completely.

"Negotiation is complete. Inform him immediately. ”

ParthaSarathy was speechless and sat for a while. Manohar knew about the deal even before he was. Like he said earlier, Rajathurai has been removed forever as soon as the deal was done. But before he can say it, Karthi finds out and changes his face in shock. Although it all happened in a few seconds, before Manohar telling him, a few seconds before RamaKrishna told him, Karthi found about Rajathurai’s death. His head was spinning in confusion at the moment of his triumph. What’s going on?

Uay was furious when his aides and MLA’s of their side came and told all the information. He came to his father, who was sitting in a sad form.

"Your friend ParthaSarathy sitting sadly in the hospital had sent his uncle and dragged the MLAs to his side. They agreed to make him the Chief Minister ”.

Selvarangan looked at his son in astonishment. But the news he heard did not affect him more than Rajadurai's death. Said in frustration, “My beloved brother is gone. No matter what happens next. Let him take even this ministerial post even if he wants to”

Uday's anger increased. Told his father angrily "I have wondered many times where that wisdom came from for your little son. Now I understand. Everything came from you ”

Gnanam scolded her eldest son.

"Right now he is upset. Don’t mock your father at this point of time”

"Wonderful combination"

"What do you mean? Say it loudly",” Before he could reply to Gnanam, ParthaSarathy's car came and stopped in front of their house. He closed his mouth. ParthaSarathy came inside as if nothing had gone wrong. He sat near Selvarangan and said, “Selva, it does not make sense for us to break down at this point of time. Everyone will be gone one day. We should do what needs to be done”

Selvarangan stared. ParthaSarathy continued to talk in a matter of fact voice, "All our MLAs came and forcing me to become the Chief Minister. I told them I will not agree to anything without consulting you”

Uday exploded with angry words in his mind.

"What I am going to say? Accept their request ”

The relief was evident on ParthaSarathy’s face.

"You have been right hand to our beloved brother. I want you to support me in the same manner. I am going back with the confidence of your support”

Selvarangan nodded. ParthaSarathy got up and came near Uday.

"You are the one who will grow our party in Delhi as usual. As far as Parliament is concerned, I depend on you. ”

Uday nodded, afraid that if he spoke he would say something with profanity.

ParthaSarathy nodded to Gnanam and Karthi and left fast.

Karthi was able to realize that even though what was happening was a political game, the enemy was moving the pieces. It was confusing so far, but it is clear that it is not for the better.
