The Unknown Chapter 84

They found the sadhu near a waterfall. The sadhu was staring at the snow-capped peaks in the distance. When he heard the noise they were coming, he narrowed his eyes and looked at both of them. The culprit introduced him as a Tamil Nadu police officer. Sadhu looked at Senthilnathan without any acknowledgement. His posture was like I don’t care who you are.

"He has come to ask you something about a man who came to you four or five years ago to learn about the super powers" said the culprit. There was still no change in that sadhu’s face. Senthilnathan knows people like that well. Unscrupulous people.

Senthilnathan, who had already bought the drugs and put it in his shirt, took it in his hand and kept looking at the sadhu, asking which drug was his favorite. But sadhu did not show great interest.

Senthilnathan waited for a few minutes to see if the sadhu would say anything and quietly told the culprit. "Okay, let's go," he said, and without stopping, Senthilnathan looked at both of them with astonishment and ran after him.

That sadhu raised a kind of cry of the occult. Senthilnathan looked back. He gestured for Senthilnathan to come. Senthilnathan slowly returned. That sadhu seemed to understand him well too.

"What do you want to know about him?" The voice was very hoarse.

“Tell me everything you know. Mainly what did he come to you for? What are the lessons he learned? But what did you have to teach to him before everything else? It will be good if you tell us, how did you learn those super powers" Senthilnathan asked in Hindi.

the face of the sadhu changed like it was forced to share the bitter truth. Again he saw the snow-capped peak in the distance. He started slowly as he watched it.

“At the age of twelve, a monk stopped an elephant that had wrecked havoc in our village with his sight. As I watched it I wondered with amazement how it was possible. Then the monk said briefly.

“Nokku Varmam”

“Since then I have had an insatiable interest in Nokku Varmam. I went after him. I learned it from him for ten years. I also mastered it. No animal in this Himalayas has ever approached me. Never tried to bring me down. They all looked at me and fled. Not only that but the humans also ran away in fear. I made those who did not run like that run by my vision. I was once the protagonist in this area”

Senthilnathan noticed self-pity and frustration when he said,." "Everything was fine as long as I was with that monk. Something felt an emptiness as soon as he died. Then I started taking drugs. It was addictive. It was comforting. Then it became a necessity. But the trick I learned remained with me ”

Senthilnathan interrupted. "Someone said that such tricks would be wiped out by bad habits"

“Until the drugs doesn’t disturb the mental clarity, concentration required to use the trick, a man doesn’t lose his powers. Man must be in complete control, especially during the use of force "

“Did he come to learn Nokku Varmam from you?”

He nodded 'yes' and held out his hand. Sadhu took one of the three small packets in Senthilnathan's hand and rubbed it eagerly. Open it and take a pinch very carefully and take it to your nose and take a long breath.

“He had a lot of power before he came to me. He learned in a month what I had learned in ten years. He is Satan, not human. He didn’t even let me sleep properly until he finished learning. Thought more sleep was unnecessary. Thought too much speech was a waste of energy. He thought the drug was suicidal” His voice became very weak.

"He did not say it out loud. But I know he thought so. I also know that it is real. If I had been able to live life to the fullest I would have stopped the first attempt I took on this. There is no point in talking after everything is over. ”

Senthilnathan again diverted the speech from his self-pity to the enemy.

"Was he with you for a month to learn from you, or did he just stay somewhere and come to learn?"

"He stayed with me. Facilities are not all that important to him. Learning is important. For the first ten days, he stayed where I was for the next ten days, ”

Senthilnathan asked skeptically. "Where was the intervening ten days?"

"He left for Delhi. He told some psychoanalyst from USA is coming. He went on to say, there was work to be consulted with him. He said that guy has written a lot of books”

"What work needed to be consulted with him?"

"Don’t know. He is not the type to say anything out of the mouth. When he returned, he brought a book from Delhi. Intermittently he read the book deeply”

“What is the subject of that book? ”

“A book about the mind. I think the genius he was looking at wrote it. He will read the book between the Nokku Varmam practice to relax. Retirement is another job for him to do when he gets tired of. Wonderful man. Just a little weird. But I have never seen a man like him. ” Awe rested on Sadhu's voice.

"Is he fully mastered in Nokku Varmam?"

"He would not have gone if he had not mastered it." That sadhu said as if he was telling one of the nature’s law.

"What can you do with Nokku Varmam?"

“A person who is fully qualified can stop the mad elephant. Not only animals but also humans can be kept that way. In fact, he can even stop his heartbeat at the sight. Outwardly it feels like a heart attack. It is a Nokku varmam attack, understood only by those who know the art. Your police can do nothing. Your scientific instrument cannot find anything at all. ”

Senthilnathan looked at the sadhu in amazement. He was haunted by the death of Rajadurai in his mind. Rajadurai was very active till the day before he died despite having a heart condition. Senthilnathan had also been talking to him a lot the day before. He did not seem to have a minor physical discomfort. He had a strong suspicion that the enemy was not likely to be involved in the death and that it was likely to be a deliberate attack, although no apparent cause was known.
