Too Late To Realize Chapter 31

Weeby smiled wryly, as she couldn't understand the situation. Resti was at fault, why was she to blame? Weeby was still frozen in place, trying to rack her brains for an idea that would be worthy enough to make Mrs. Arum believe her.

"Weeby, let's hurry out, tell your parents to meet me. I don't have long, I have something to do in an hour."

"But I'm not wrong, why should I be the one to go to all this trouble? Why not Resti? She's the one at fault, not me."

In her place, Weeby's feet continued to stomp on the floor, and the orders that came from Mrs. Arum's lips were not at all what Weeby wanted to carry out.

"That's enough, Weeby, why do you keep refusing my orders? I'm patient enough not to get angry with you, I'm telling you to get out!"

Without realizing it, Mrs. Arum, who was the kindest counseling teacher, was furious like that. With a flash of fire in her eyes and a tinge of boiling lava ready to burst out, Mrs. Arum pointed at the door, signaling Weeby to leave this room quickly.

Weeby was still reluctant to comply, she was still processing her brain. Her gaze turned to stare at the bone-white tiles of the counseling room.

Then, the twinkle in Weeby's eyes was instantly created, her eyes blinked again, and a second later, her gaze immediately turned back to look at Mrs. Arum carefully. This time accompanied by a pair of wide smiles. Undoubtedly, Weeby's actions made Mrs. Arum's forehead form more vertical, straight lines.

"What's wrong? I told you to get out!"

Apparently, Mrs. Arum's emotions had not yet dissolved. Weeby took a breath, then began to raise her voice.

"I have other evidence, I'm sure you'll believe me."

Mrs. Arum seemed to be letting out a long breath, as if she was already annoyed with all of Weeby's actions.

"Already, it's not important. That's just your trick to buy time. I don't want to know, so get out of this room."

Once again, Mrs. Arum's stern voice echoed in Weeby's ears. Weeby desperately endured the patience that was gradually eroding.

"No, just this once. Give me a chance, I'm sure you'll believe me."

After pleading in a hoarse voice and showing a pitiable expression, Weeby smiled slightly when a nod of the head from Mrs. Arum was seen in front of her eyes. She then blinked because she did not expect that Mrs. Arum would comply.

"Okay, I'll give you a chance. But, if your evidence doesn't help anything and isn't strong enough, you should contact your parents now."

Weeby thought for a moment, digesting Mrs. Arum's words well. After thinking for a few seconds, she immediately nodded in agreement. According to Weeby, the evidence she was going to show was very strong. With her trust and confidence, Weeby made sure that Mrs. Arum would believe her.

"Yes, ma'am, thank you."

"Okay, what are you going to show me?" Mrs. Arum jerked her head, with eyes that were the equivalent of eagles also coming out to stare at Weeby.

Although a little scared, Weeby immediately focused on her goal. Before raising her voice again, Weeby closed her eyes for a moment. As the seconds ticked by, Weeby steadily began to tell Mrs. Arum, while the counseling teacher solemnly listened to the words that fell from Weeby's thin lips.

After struggling for a long time with the words to explain this problem to Mrs. Arum, finally, Weeby's efforts did not disappoint at all, the results were perfect. Mrs. Arum believed in her.

Weeby could not describe the feeling that was now in her chest, she felt happy and relieved at the same time. Now, Weeby dragged her footsteps to meet someone.

Weeby seemed to be concerned and sorry for Resti's fate. Surely, that girl would become the subject of ridicule and scorn just like herself a moment ago. Maybe even worse than that.

With an agitated-sounding sigh, Weeby continued to walk until she reached her class. Weeby's eyes swept across the classroom, her friends were looking at her disdainfully, and they were all standing at the back of the classroom, reluctant to get close to Weeby.

Inevitably, Weeby's chest felt tight to accept this bitter reality. Shortly after that, Weeby swallowed her saliva for a few seconds, then her gaze fell on a girl who stood at the front compared to her other friends. Yes, she was Resti.

Weeby took one step forward, then she spoke. "Resti i-

Before she could finish his sentence, Resti interrupted her with a cold and sarcastic remark. "Don't call me by my name, my name is too precious for you to mention it, you shameless girl. Remember, you're not married, you're just playing around. Even pregnant."

Weeby's heart sank even further when Resti's harsh words were directed at her, her heart felt squeezed and her breath was choked. Resti's words had really gone too far, and Weeby's heart felt resentful and sick.

Still trying to be patient and strong, Weeby again flashed her eyes at Resti, this time with a glance.

"Resti, listen to me first. I just want to talk to you." Weeby immediately twisted her lower lip, she stepped forward once again, and along with Weeby's footsteps, they all also crammed their feet to retreat.

Weeby now looked like a virus that they should avoid.

"Do you want to talk to me?" In Resti's trademark frivolous voice, the girl pointed at herself, and then shortly after that, she uttered another sentence. "I don't want to talk to a girl like you. Now you just leave this class, there's no need for a girl like you here."

Arrogantly, Resti waved her hand repeatedly, signaling Weeby to get out of her way. Her words were one hundred percent supported by her classmates. They all cheered, agreeing with Resti's words.

Weeby didn't want to obey, but for her, this information was very important, and she couldn't miss it. Weeby gulped her saliva repeatedly with difficulty, then switched to wetting her lips, which felt dry. Being cornered like this really made Weeby's heart ache.

"Geez, why are you being quiet again? What are you waiting for?"

Resti was already impatient because Weeby was still in the same position, not moving a single step, Resti was getting frustrated, her face furious with anger.

Before long, Resti's gaze turned to the paper that had been shaped into a ball, her smile printed sarcastically. Moments later, the girl threw the object, hitting Weeby on the head.

Still trying to hold on to her stance, Weeby had to accept this misunderstanding, she couldn't be angry at them.

Weeby's former attitude was completely gone.

A few minutes later, when all the students finally left the classroom to go to the laboratory because there was a lesson there, Weeby immediately pulled Resti's hand until the girl staggered backwards because of Weeby's tight pull.

"You were called by Mrs. Arum in her room, that's what I want to talk to you about." Weeby said it sharply. The look in her eyes continued to radiate dislike towards Resti.

"Why would I go there?" Resti replied haughtily, her arms folded in front of her chest. Her chin looked up, sending Weeby a disapproving look.

"Mrs. Arum is waiting for you, and if you don't go there, it's useless because Mrs. Arum will keep looking for you. So, you can't go anywhere now." After saying that, Weeby smiled wryly.

Weeby's defiant expression made Resti's hair stand on end. Resti swallowed hard, wondering to herself what Weeby meant by all this?

"What did you say to Mrs. Arum about me?"

"The truth. And get ready, everything will be exposed, you can't slander me anymore. And you can't feel like the holy person ever again, when the truth is that you're the dirtiest. And you can't accuse me randomly."

"I hate you." Resti pushed Weeby's chest back.

But Weeby just published a sardonic smile. "And me? I hate you even more. Your game is over, Resti, you've lost."

Quickly, Weeby then turned around, walking after her friends who had already stepped into the laboratory.

With her emotions churning in her chest, Resti's footsteps quickened. The information she had just received from Weeby made her even more anxious, she thought to herself. Why would Mrs. Arum want to meet her?

If she had to deal with a counseling teacher, Resti's guts would definitely shrink, she was afraid to face this kind of teacher. Even though Mrs. Arum was known to be kind, Resti's chest was beating and her breathing was becoming labored.

When she arrived, Resti stood in front of Mrs. Arum.

"I want to talk to you," Mrs. Arum said, looking at Resti with a straight face after telling her to sit in front of her.

Resti was getting more and more awkward and confused by the situation, "What's going on, ma'am, if I may know? Why did you call me here?" She asked weakly, her voice a little hoarse as she pushed her hair out of her face.

Mrs. Arum let out a long sigh, then began to rise from her seat, Resti, who saw her movement, was stunned.

"Come on, you're coming with me."

Mrs. Arum had already stepped away, but Resti did not move, her brain still processing this incident. Mrs. Arum's attitude made her even more conflicted.

It was only when Mrs. Arum looked back that Resti snapped out of her trance and got up, following Mrs. Arum, who was staring fiercely at her. As long as these footsteps continued, Resti's mind was the same, running to and fro, looking for the right answer that made sense. However, what she wanted did not materialize at all, and Resti did not find the right answer.

She exhaled slowly, this time all Resti could do was wait for Mrs. Arum to talk to her about the matter, knowing that her counselor must have a real reason why she was told to come with her.

So what? Resti felt that she had never made a fatal mistake, not even in dealing with her counselor.

After dragging her feet for about five minutes from the counseling room, Mrs. Arum immediately opened the door to the room. It took a moment for her brain to process, but the wrinkles on her forehead were growing, indicating the confusion in her head.

Why did Mrs. Arum take her to the CCTV room? What was going on in there? Out of curiosity, Resti followed behind Mrs. Arum, who walked first. Resti stared at the room for a few times, feeling very unfamiliar as this was the first time she had set foot in here.

"Resti, come here."

The voice of Mrs. Arum's call entered Resti's ears, and Resti gasped slightly, and then immediately approached Mrs. Arum, who was standing in front of a screen filled with pictures of the school's location.

As the seconds ticked by, Resti still couldn't figure out why Mrs. Arum had invited her to this room while showing her the CCTV footage.

For a moment, Resti still couldn't quite digest it, but by the tenth second, she was focused on the footage. Fingers moved nimbly below, her head refusing to move from the screen in front of her. Resti was focused on the scene.

With her body erect, Resti stood still, her eyeballs almost out of place, as she captured the figures of herself and Gama, her ex-boyfriend, clearly visible there.

As the seconds ticked by, Resti felt more and more frightened as she stared at the scene. She twisted her lower lip little by little. Resti was still wondering to herself, how could all this have happened?

In her place, Resti was getting more and more agitated, her body movements seemed unsteady, her chest seemed to have been hit by several heavy objects, leaving a deep pain.

Resti couldn't take it anymore, she moved her gaze in another direction and just realized that the place where her argument with Gama took place, was indeed covered by CCTV. Resti felt very stupid. At that time, Resti asked Gama not to break up with him, and Resti also asked the boy to take responsibility for her pregnancy.

Mrs. Arum already knew all about this, and Resti already knew where the ending would lead. If she is not expelled from school, then what else could she do? While one of the rules states that students who get pregnant outside of premarital sex will be immediately asked to leave.

Resti was silent, unable to make a sound, only occasionally wiping the sweat from her forehead. When Mrs. Arum's gaze shifted to her, Resti immediately looked down, both embarrassed and afraid of being scolded by her.

"Resti, are you pregnant?"

Mrs. Arum asked with her eyes, looking straight at Resti, and at the same time, her hand tapped the student's shoulder. A short sigh also escaped her lips.

Already exposed, Resti could now neither evade nor find another excuse. Mrs. Arum sighed again as Resti confessed with a brief nod of her head.

"Resti, you look into my eyes." Resti shook her head quickly, the embarrassment that dominated her heart making it hard for her to obey. The direction of her gaze had been looking the other way.

Mrs. Arum, who saw this, immediately cupped Resti's face and directed her face to look at her. After their gazes clashed, Mrs. Arum, with her flat face, wiped away Resti's tears that had been flowing down her cheeks for some time.

The teacher seemed fine, not expressing her anger at Resti's behavior, which was beyond the limits of a normal schoolgirl. Resti's feelings were getting more and more chaotic, her heart also felt like it had been slapped. Mrs. Arum's treatment was not what Resti deserved.

"How much content have you gotten?"

Resti turned her face away briefly, but she tried to look back at Mrs. Arum. "Three months, ma'am," she replied softly, and was rewarded with a small nod from the counseling teacher.

"Are you angry with me?" After the silence was interrupted, Resti asked innocently.

"Obviously I'm holding back my anger with you, but I can't scold you. Your behavior is out of line, Resti, now I ask you to call your parents and your boyfriend."

Resti could have told her mother to come here, but how could she tell Gama? Would the boy want to? Without even asking the person directly, Resti had found her own answer to summarize Gama's words. It was certain that Gama would reject it.

Mrs. Arum had been kind enough to respond to this situation, wanting to argue but feeling too embarrassed. Resti racked her brain, digging even deeper to find a piece of an idea that was worth doing. Honestly, Resti's feelings for Gama were still the same as before.

"I will tell your boyfriend about this. So you tell your parents to come here quickly."

Once again, Resti nodded obediently. Her mind was now racing, her biggest secret had been exposed. Resti felt ashamed of herself.

"Oh yes, can you explain why you accused Weeby of being involved in this pregnancy case? I don't want you to cover up this matter anymore. And I also want you to apologize to Weeby. She didn't do anything wrong here."

Weakly, Resti nodded. "Yes ma'am."
