When Mafia's Mate Chapter 30

The airport grew with protest. People already inside wanted to fly out of Smallsvile. People outside were shouting to be let in. The forces stayed guided with armor tanks outside warning those of them outside to go back home. The protest has no leader. Everyone was a leader.

"Go back home." The guide shouted through a microphone. "Go back home. You'll be safe there. Not here."

The people continued shouting. Placards were thrown and raised in sweats.

"We aren't going anywhere." Some of them shouted.

"We are getting into the airport. Home isn't a saver."

"Go back home," another said. "They won't come for you there. "Go back home."

"That's not happening. We aren't going…"

The protest got rowdy. People want to get into the airport. People in the airport don't want them in. Not all of them. Some others are also planning a protest within the airport with plans of getting the doors open for people to come in.

They wrote in papers Passing them around asking for people to join the protest within. A young blonde climbed up a chair and started talking.

"We have to help others. Let's get to the doors. They need our help."

"What help?" Another one shouted. He looked like he's in his mid-forties with a blotted stomach.

"They wouldn't help you if you are in their place. Get that in."

"I don't care," the blonde shunned the man.

"They need our help. Be can't be safe here while others are outside. Let's help."

Some people rallied around her, some seated watching, some children playing around, some patched between and in a state of bewilderment.

The security guards came for her. They yanked her into a room. The protest increased. They want justice for her and the people outside.

"You guys can't just lock us here with no plane to move us out of this…"

"We'll not accept this. She needs to be back here. Her freedom shouldn't be infringed on…"

One man ran up to the guard that pinned the blonde down and slapped him hard from the back. The guard fell and others bounced on him. Other guards came over to help their man. They started using clubs on people not minding if they are hitting bones or breaking them.

"Fuck you all. We gonna deal with you. Move back. Move!"

Some of the people moved back gliding over others with wounds and pains.

"We need you to bring out the blonde."

"This is fair. Why not bring out the blonde and have peace." A middle-aged petite woman said. She has long dreadlocks and her nose looked longer too.

"No one is going out," A guard said. " And no one is coming in. If you get that right it'll be better for us."

"You aren't joking with us, mate. What are you saying?" A huge muscular man said.

The guard on the floor stood up. Blood patches on his mouth like a molten volcano and his right eye looked bulged and like boiled in a cooker. He stumbled off and cussed.

"You all are mad."

"We are all mad people," a woman with a child said, smiling. "Madness runs in our blood. Look around you, all of this shit is madness. Why not sit back and enjoy it while it lasts."

A few minutes later they heard a boom from the west section of the airport. People fell to their knees. Glasses scattered about running into skins. The shockwaves alone ran some mad.

"Get down you all. Get down!" A woman's voice called out from the smoke curling up and running around.

"I'm from the werewolves of Damim and you all gonna die."

"What!" People started running towards the locked door. The werewolves came in through the bombed walls and started devouring. It's madness and gory. People are dying.

Alpha got there on time too. He came down from the bike and ran toward the people outside. His claws came out and his back hunched and the hairs came out then he turned completely. It was maddening. He was laughing and sucking the blood. The guards and the other forces started shooting at him. He smiled knowing he's now immune to bullets.

"Damn you all. The new me is greater. We gonna rock." He laughed like a mad man. Though everyone is mad in a world that's mad.

"Come on guys," he said. " We are here for a good time." He leapfrogs at the guards grabbing about four at a time. He tossed their guns aside and went ahead to tear out their hearts. He kissed them and laughed.

"Fools. What are you guarding?" He cussed and walked towards the doors.

People are trying to open them from the inside. People are trying to get inside. The world is chaos.

"Let's give it to them guys."

He bounced in smiling. People rushed out and some rushed in. All hoping for escape. But is there anything like hope?

Catherine and Sam slowly back into the bower after they found no werewolf lucking around. She thought of how everything has changed. How they are now enemies. And how everything seems not to be making sense to her. She's supposed to be leading a gang.

"I don't know what we'll find inside. Look at the door." Sam said.

"You think someone entered?"

"It's apparent. Look at those footsteps. They are new."

"Let's go through the back and see if we can see inside from the window."

"Better."

They trotted along the walls to reach the window but once getting there they found Damien seated on the floor. He looked tired. And a hook pinned him down to his side. He cussed at them.

"You bastards. What are you doing here?" He tried standing up but the hook held him down. His claws are still out and he wanted to kill more but at the same time, the humor seems to be living inside him. He glanced away from them. Probably, he just wants to kill more.

"Damien, " Catherine called. "What happened?"

"You bastards. You probably did this." He lashed out trying to grab her. She stumbled back.

"We need to sedate him first and get the Stuff out of him possibly. Everything is turning mad."

"I'll get the door," Catherine said.

"We need some water too."

"Sure."

"You bastards," he cussed again then slowly went to sleep. His stomach wambles and he left out some gas.

Inside the bower, the hound still sits where they left him. The chairs have been scattered further after the shooting. Dead werewolves were scattered around too and the place looked like a morgue.

She went into the bathroom and remember they found its connection to the bunker and somehow she thought everything in Smallsvile are connected. What if this could be solved that way? What if it could?

She held the bowel in her hands and walked back to the backyard.

"Here, have the water. He's outright?"

"Yeah. We can work on him now. He should be out for about two days."

"Oh! Noticed the effect on Alpha too. Aren't we dealing with something he came with?"

"He might not necessarily be the first contact. Look at what happened so far."

"This," she holds out a small book she picked from the bunker. It has embroidered on it: Secret of the realms.

"I know the book. Martha wrote it from her grandmother's note. You found something in it?"

"It could help. There is a note in it."

"A note?"

"Yeah. It is dated exactly today. This time, and says three of us will be here."

"You saw our names there?"

"Have it and read for yourself."

Sam collected it and his eyes opened wider. He wasn't surprised much because he knew Martha and Alex could predict stuff. But this one asked them to cut off Damien's head in two days.

"What's this? His head? This is gross."

"Didn't remember the note until now. What should we do?"

"We can't do it. We can't. Damien is a good guy. This is happening from the wave."

"What should we do then? I'm not saying we should do it too. But we need to get him back. The note said to get him back we have to kill him first. You said Martha never lied."

"Yes. But!"

"Look at him. Look!"

Damien moved and started transforming again. His eyes opened and he lashed at them breaking away from the hook. They ran and he followed them.

"I heard everything you guys said and you'll die."

They ran quickly and he followed them swiftly. He almost caught up with them when they jumped back into the bunker and closed the metal door within. Damien growled and grinned.

"You bastards."

"What do we do now? Sam said.

"I don't know. It seems we are domed but…?

"But what?"

" Can I get a computer here? Martha should have one."

"She did. Let's check."

Damien continued cussing outside. Later he walked away. He needed to get back to the fortress and it seems he's evolving too
