Who's the Legal Wife? Chapter 36

“Now, you wanted to get revenge on me,” Daniel said in disbelief. Daniel gasped, and he couldn't believe that Jane could do that to him. “You are doing this to get revenge on me; I know it! Jane, you didn't need to do that because–”

“Daniel, I don't have any plans to get revenge on you. You're still my friend, and I have already moved on. Stop embarrassing yourself, Daniel. I'm happy for you; you should be happy for me, too.” Jane tried her best to maintain her composure and hid what he truly felt.

Daniel looked her in the eyes. He's the only one who can distinguish if Jane is telling the truth. He's been with her since they were both young, and he knew that Jane was lying and she was trying to act like she was strong.

“You are lying. I know that you are lying, Jane. Did you forget we're close enough that I can read your mind? I know you're trying to act like you're strong, and there's nothing wrong with being weak.” Daniel closed his eyes, and tears came out into his eyes. He bit his lips to suppress himself from crying. Why does he feel he loses himself when Jane does that to herself?

“If you can read my mind, you will know I fucked with him. It would help if you stopped reacting like this, Daniel because you're embarrassing yourself. I'm an adult, and I can fuck with any other men if I want to. You're not the only one who can do that to different women.” Jane glanced at Wade before walking away, but Wade followed her while glimpsing at Daniel.

“I thought you were her brother. You're acting like one.” Wade commented, which made Daniel groan in frustration. Wade followed Jane wherever she was about to go, leaving Daniel like trash.

“Seriously, Jane, do you regret that you slept with me? Aren't you scared that I might get you pregnant?” Wade couldn't stop himself from asking. He wanted to know what Jane might be thinking.

Jane stopped and turned around. She faced Wade and sighed. She felt she was expected because she didn't even feel any slight regret, but she felt bad for Daniel. She tried to move on, but she saw Daniel at the bar.

“Do you want me to be honest with you? I don't even feel any slight regret. Am I a bad one?” Jane couldn't stop herself from asking. She stared at Wade for so long and inhaled. “I was hurt because Daniel acted like this. I don't understand why he needed to react like this. Why does he make me see that he was still affected even though he was happy with his fiancé?

“It's because he still loves you, or maybe he was too overprotective that he wanted what was best for you. Stop making yourself feel terrible; it's not your fault. We were both drunk when we did that; we continued what we did when we woke up.” Wade shrugged his shoulders. All he thought was that Daniel was dumb for making Jane accessible. She was a significant loss for Daniel, and Wade would make sure that this won't be the first time that they would see each other.

“Why are you crying?” Wade asked when he saw Jane's tears coming into her eyes. Why does he feel hurt when he sees that the lovely woman in front of him is crying for the other man?

“Because I am hungry.” Jane turned her back and started running, which made Wade run too.

“Do you want us to eat before you return home?” Wade tried his best to be with her for so long, but Jane shook her head in answer.

“Mr. Wade, we fucked, and that's simply fucking. I don't want to see you anymore, and I hope I won't bump into you.” Wade's mouth hangs open when he hears how heartless she is. He was dumbfounded that he didn't even follow Jane again when she started running away.

It was his first time being treated like that, and he felt a thousand needles stabbed into his heart. He didn't mind his ego, but he didn't watch part. He didn't understand why he was hurt after he heard it.

“Jane, I will search for you. I will make sure that you won't run away from me.” Wade promised himself. He was glimpsed in the direction where Jane went. He felt that this wouldn't be the last that they would see each other.

From the moment that he saw Jane at the bar, she finally caught her attention that's why he moved closer to her. Jane is young, and her face is too innocent, which contradicts her behavior. Maybe, that's why he found Jane too interesting; it's because of her attitude.

Some women were trying to be purer whenever they wanted him. At first, they will play with him, but after they fucked, they will ask him or even force him to have a relationship with them.

Wade still remembered how they kissed, even foreplay, when they were in his car, and he felt that their memories in his car would haunt him. He remembers how Jane entered his mouth while sucking her in the backseat. He didn't like to fuck someone inside his vehicle, but he didn't obey his rules because of Jane.

Jane was the epitome of beauty even though her lovely eyes were too cold. Whenever he looked into her eyes, he felt that Jane was sad, or maybe, she had a problem, or perhaps she was heartbroken.

Her eyes were full of sadness while it was still cold. He was into her, and maybe not. He felt that Jane was a great challenge to him, and he wouldn't be lost in something that he wanted.

Wade clenched his fist, and he was thankful that his car had a camera. He had her picture, so he would finally get a lot of information about her once he decided to investigate. He won't let Jane be accessible for so long; he won't let her enjoy the freedom that Daniel was given to her. He will make sure of that.

“Oh, Jane, I thought that you wouldn't come to your work.” Blossom was shocked when she saw Jane go into her office. Though Jane is wearing a different outfit, she could notice that her eyes were swollen. She blinked when she saw red marks on her neck, but she decided not to step outside her boundary.

Blossom was only her boss, but she felt guilty about asking Jane to drink with her. That's why she was so mad at Leo for leaving Jane at the bar.

“I'm sorry if I am late, Ms. Blossom.” Jane innocently said. She tried not to look at Blossom's eyes when she saw that Blossom was more confused. Jane knew Blossom was trying to check her out, but she acted like she didn't know.

Jane went onto her table and put the files on her desk. She smiled at her when she read her schedule. “Ms. Blossom, you need to sign those papers, but please read that carefully,” Jane murmured before she went to the door.

“Please, call me if you need anything else,” Jane said before she left her. When Jane closed the door, she gritted her teeth in annoyance. She knew that Blossom noticed the red marks on her neck, and she felt embarrassed because Blossom might be thinking that she had sex with someone at the bar.

Though, it's true; she had a clear image. She wanted to curse herself because at. First, she didn't even notice that Wade gave her a mark on her neck; she found out when the receptionist told her about it.

She wished that Wade was in front of her so she could smack his irritating face. Does Wade was trying to humiliate her?

Blossom was lost when she watched Jane go out into her office. She sighed and decided to read the papers that Jane had given her. Though Jane was reading all of the proposals, she made sure that Blossom read everything so she could avoid being questioned about every stock and design that they were trying to do.

Blossom blinked when she remembered Leo whenever she was with Jane. She didn't understand why but whenever she was staring at Jane, she always saw Leo on her. She was sure they weren't relatives because Jane wasn't a Fontaine.

She accepted Jane as her assistant because of her endurance and perseverance. She was a fighter, and she felt comfortable whenever she was with her. She might be her assistant, but Blossom thought she had a sister because of Jane.

She sighed deeply and worried that maybe something terrible had happened to Jane, but she closed her mouth.

An hour passed when she was done reading all of the papers that Jane was given to her. She quickly scanned the fund and checked all the silk they might need to create the dress.

Blossom started designing many clothes and dresses, which made her not notice what time it was. She was disturbed when someone knocked on her door.

“Ms. Blossom, someone wanted to see you. He told me that he is your husband.” Blossom frowned because she didn't even know that Leo would be visiting her. She watched Jane open the door and usher Leo into her office.

“Do you like something else, Mr. Fontaine? Do you want some water, coffee, or maybe juice?” Jane didn't even look at Leo's eyes which made Blossom think she might be intimidated by her husband.

“All I want is my wife. But I want to have some water.” Blossom gasped when Leo didn't even mind what he told Jane. She even saw how Jane smirked at her before she left them.

“Are you trying to intimidate my secretary? You don't need to do that!” Blossom blushed when she could still remember how Leo answered Jane. She massaged her temple, which made Leo laugh at her for a moment.

His tone was too cold, which made her chilled for a moment. Did Leo think that she was joking? She didn't like it when someone was trying to bully Jane.

“I didn't even do anything. I don't believe that it's my fault if she's intimidated because of me. My wife, are you accusing me of something I didn't do? You should have proof when you blame me.” Leo shrugged his shoulders. He walked towards her, which made her panic. She could still remember what Leo did to her when they were inside the bathroom, and she was too tired.

“Shit! Don't you dare come closer to me? What are you doing here? You didn't even go here, so it's too new.” Blossom acted severely, but she failed when Leo touched her shoulders.

“I want to make sure that your assistant knows that I am your husband. So, if someone is trying to hit on you, I will kick his ass.” Leo started to become possessive when it came to her, which made her hopes grow even more. But Blossom knew that she would be hurt in the end. That's why she decided not to say something.

She didn't like it when Leo started to boss her around. She didn't like it whenever Leo began acting like he was scared that she might do what he did to her. She realized that Leo was afraid of his ghost!

“Leo, didn't you think it's too unfair to me? Are you scared I might cheat on you like what you did to me?” Blossom finally got the courage to ask him. She wanted to know the truth even though she would be hurt, but there was a dark glare in his eyes. It was so cold that she tried to run away from me.

“I'm not scared of anyone, Blossom. Even though it's Uriel, I will ensure he gets what he deserves for trying to snatch you away from me.” Blossom felt scared that Leo might be telling the truth. Since she returned to their country, she didn't even see Uriel.
