Who's the Legal Wife? Chapter 94

Robert was stunned. He didn't know what he would say next. After all, he did that because he thought that it was the right thing that he needed to do. He felt everything could be better for Sophia, but he was wrong.

Robert didn't talk about it; he didn't like to defend himself, especially since he knew that he was the one who needed to blame for what happened to his daughter, not Amelia.

However, Sophia gripped the utensils in so much anger. She felt that her blood was boiling in a fury. A creepy smile formed on her lips when she saw how her father tried to hide how affected he was by what she told him.

“Daddy, I'm sorry; maybe you think that I'm still mad—”

Robert didn't let Sophia finish her words. Of course, he didn't think like that about his daughter. “Sophia, you don't need to apologize. I'm happy you're trying to say whatever you think. I like how confident you are.”

“Daddy, I assumed that you were angry with me. Are you sure that you aren't mad?” Sophia acted like she was doubtful when Robert didn't say anything. She was forced, but deep inside of her, she wanted to stab the knife that she held.

Robert laughed wholeheartedly, “Okay, I'm not angry. I want to know more about you. I'm sorry if I didn't say anything because I felt guilty that I didn't even know what you experienced when you weren't here in this country.”

“Dad, it's all in the past. It would help if you didn't feel unhappy for me. I don't want you to cry because of what I would tell you.” Sophia smiled.

“No! I want to know everything. You got a part-time job to sustain your needs. Sophia, I thought Amelia was doing her job for you. I thought she was giving you some allowance because she always asked for it. Don't worry; I will provide her allowance for you.”

“Daddy, I don't want Auntie Amelia to get mad at me. I'm scared to stay here, and I want to leave this house after I go to the hospital. I realized that Erin and I shared the same food, so they intentionally put some peanuts in my food. Maybe— you will see my corpse this coming day.” Sophia whispered, which made Robert's face pale.

Robert thought about it, and when he heard Sophia saying it, he remembered his late wife, who was Sophia's mother. He recalled that Sophia's mother told him that Amelia wanted to kill her, but he decided to turn deaf. He didn't believe in her because he thought that Amelia wouldn't do that, so in the end, Sophia's mother died.

“Are you sure that they intentionally did that to you? Sophia, I will do anything to protect you.” Robert promised.

Sophia nodded, but there was a glint of the scheme in her eyes. She needed to make sure that her plans would happen. “Yeah, daddy. I'm scared. Is it okay with you if I move out of this house? I would rather live alone than stay here.”

Robert took a deep sigh; he was worried about Sophia, too. He had no choice but to send her to a different house or maybe a condo.

“But, is it okay with you that the house you will give me will be named for me? I don't want Auntie Amelia to use it against me if she killed you.” Sophia added, which made Robert shocked.

Robert didn't know that Amelia had plans to kill him. All Amelia's life, she was too obedient, which made him always give her a lot of presents.

“Daddy, they found out who will inherit your company, so I think they will kill you and act as if you left it for them. You only told me about it in your family, not the media conference.” Sophia stood up and glimpsed at her father, whose mouth hung open.

“How did you think that they would do that to me? Amelia loves me so much.” Robert asked her daughter.

“It's because I heard her talking to my uncle. She was telling him about what to announce to Erin, so it meant they all knew about it. Why don't you try to ask him? And I'm sure he knew about it.” Sophia replied, bid her father goodbye, and went straight to her room. She was sure that Storm's father knew about it, so she told Storm about Robert's decision.

Sophia knew that her uncle would like Storm as the new owner of their company. It's one of his dreams, and Storm knew about it.

Robert was surprised by what Sophia had told him. He watched her go to her room, so he asked his brother. He finished his food like Sophia had told him, and when he went to his office, Robert called his brother.

“Hello, Robert! Finally, you called me. I was about to call you but forgot because Storm is still hospitalized. I want to talk to you about what I discovered.”

Robert's forehead slowly sweats. He was hoping that Sophia was lying.

“I can't believe that you choose Sophia as your successor. Robert, you shall think about your decision. She didn't even study, and I'm sure the board of directors will not like your decision.” Robert's brother added, which made Robert feel betrayed even more. He didn't know what Amelia's relationship with his brother was, but it looked so deep that she even told him about his decision.

“How did you know about it? I don't want to tell you that because I will talk to you after your birthday.” Robert tried to sound casual.

Sophia's words haunted him that Amelia was planning to kill him, so there was a big possibility that his brother was plotting against him too.

“You don't need to know whoever told me this information. Robert, please, why don't you choose Storm as your successor? He's great! I know that he will manage the company because he is my son. He even finished his studies abroad; think about it.”

Robert was processing what his brother told him. So, does it mean that his brother was waiting for the company since he managed it?

“Brother, okay, I will think about it too,” Robert replied.

”Oh! Great! I know that you will think about the future of the company. You can trust my son about it. Oh, by the way, I saw Amelia here in this hospital. She was with Erin.”

Robert clasped the phone and talked about the stocks to his brother when he hung up. His eyes turned bloodshot; all this time, his brother and Amelia played him.

He was too stupid that even think that Amelia was trustworthy. He was foolish that he still believed in her even though Amelia had done something against his wife.

His breath was too deep, and Robert thought he needed to be wise against his enemies. He would plan to create a grand party, and he would make sure that no one would know that he would announce whoever his successor was.

Sophia took off her earphone and smiled evilly. She still couldn't believe that her plans worked, and now her father was too mad at Amelia and her uncle.

When she discovered that Storm was rushed where Erin was, a plan came to mind. It looked like she hit two birds with one stone, and she was sure Robert wouldn't waste time announcing that he had chosen her as his successor.

Sophia shook her head; she didn't even know those people were too easy to manipulate. She hardly sighed when she received a message from her small laptop. She tapped Erin's phone, and she saw how Erin texted Leo and begged him to be with him. Another plan came to her mind; she would make sure that Erin and Storm would wipe off her way.

Wade entered his house. They couldn't believe it was evening when they returned home, so he and Jane decided to buy food from the restaurant.

Wade was anxious because Jane was too silent, as if she was thinking about something. He was worried that Jane was still mad at him, or maybe, she was suspicious of him.

Wade helped Jane to change her clothes, and he was avoiding her eyes when Jane frowned at him. Sometimes he thinks that there are a lot of women in their society, but he falls in love with Jane, who is the second version of Leo.

“What are you doing? Did you think that I'm disabled? I'm not sick, okay? Why don't you change your clothes too?” Jane exclaimed. Her forehead creased, and she even arched her brow as if she was trying to interrogate Wade.

Wade gulped in panic. “I'm trying to help you, baby. Are you angry with me?”

“You don't need to help me. I know how to remove my clothes, or maybe, you wanted to help me because you like to have a one-round with me.” Jane pursed her lips. Wade widened his eyes and swallowed.

“I always wanted to have one night with you every day. But, sometimes you look exhausted, so I had no choice but to use my hands while imagining you grinding on my top.” Wade smirked.

“Seriously, Wade? I thought you were too wild in bed, but I was wrong. Some men were imagining that the woman was giving them a blowjob.” Jane grinned when she saw how Wade changed his expression.

Wade couldn't believe what Jane had told him. Some men? Who was it? Does Jane have other male friends and they were telling her about giving a head to please a man? His blood boiled because of jealousy.

“Who are some men are you talking about? Wade, you were a virgin when we both did that, and I'm sure that it's the first time that you gave me a head too. So what do you mean about that?” Wade tried to control his temper. He didn't like it if he was angry, and he didn't want Jane to think that he was too jealous of all of the men who surrounded her. He still had pride, and he was sure Jane was lucky to have a successful man like him.

“Wait, are you accusing me that I'm seeing someone else? Okay, it's based on those articles that I read. I wondered why you moaned so loud whenever I was sucking you. I want to learn more and understand you!”

Wade's mouth hangs open. He was astounded by what Jane did to know him more. He felt his heart flutter.

”Let's eat because I'm too sleepy. I need to tell you something.” Jane's tone was severe.

When they started to eat, Jane took a deep breath several times. She was nervous about how Wade would react if she told him she was pregnant. She dropped the utensils on her plate.

Jane faked her coughing. “I wanted to tell you this. Wade, I know that we're faking our relationship, right? But there is a problem.”

Wade was waiting for Jane's announcement. He gripped the utensils because he thought Jane wouldn't like to be with him anymore. If Jane would said that to him, he would make sure that Jane would change her mind to get away from him.

“I have a secret that I need to tell you. Wade, I'm lucky you always supported me in my every decision. I know how lucky your wife could be if he has you.”

Wade's eyes formed tears; no— he didn't like to hear what Jane would say to him.

“No— I don't want to hear. I know that you wanted to leave me, I'm sure of that. Jane, I thought you already knew I had a feeling for you!” Wade was furious; he stood up and was about to turn around.

“Wade, I'm pregnant, and you are the father of my child.” Jane continued what she was going to say. She gulped when Wade didn't even look at her.

“Wade, I'm going to be a mother, and you will be a father.” Jane tried to correct herself because she thought that Wade didn't understand what she was trying to say to him.

Wade was shocked by what Jane had told him. His tears fell, and he gasped. Jane was pregnant with his child, and he would be a father now.
