You Rejected A Silver Wolf Chapter 72

Chapter Seventy-Two – Casually.

Chris’s POV

Black Hills declared a state of emergency. How dare that Lycan terrorize my pack!

A guard had been seen dead at his lodge. The one who had guarded the Lycan’s prison during the early days. Killing him must’ve been revenge.

“This Lycan wouldn’t survive today! How did it even know I was coming to kill it!” I growled to myself as I searched around.

Our warriors were sprawled around the palace searching, it wouldn’t have gone far.

My father was tugging at my mind link but I didn’t want to engage him, he shouldn’t try to help me handle the Lycan.

His strength wasn’t what it used to be and he was the last honest parent I had so he should be safe.

“Alpha, Beta Ray….!” The guard didn’t finish his message.

Fear stuck my heart. What happened to Ray? I ran towards the direction but saw only trails. “Alpha!” another guard screamed behind me.

What were all these confusions? Where was the Lycan? Where was Ray? I opened my mind link.

“Alpha, the Lycan is running into the forest, I’m on it’s chase!” it was Ray, he shut the mind link before I could reply.

“Beta Ray is in the forest, get me the warriors!” I ordered the guards and they ran back.

The forest was dark and misty, I hoped the Lycan wouldn’t try counterattacking Ray.

The destructions in the prison still stunned me. He was just breaking into Delta rank, how did he free himself? He surely had no help.

I trusted my warriors will be behind me soon. I stooped low and began shifting. My wolf was eager to help as Ray was in the line.

“That Lycan will lose a…!” I shouted as I shifted, the last part becoming a growl as my wolf took control of my body.

Black furs grew out of my skin and my bones became flexible, they cracked as they formed a more dominant stance.

In one jump, I sped into the forest, following the faint scent of Beta Ray.

His wolf rarely left scent when he ran, if not he was from my pack, it was hard to track him.

I wondered how the warriors will find us. With my wolf’s speed, they wouldn’t pick on anything.

“Alpha, he’s moving to Silver Pack. Should I alert my sister?” Ray asked again, interrupting my open mind link.

Could he do that? Alert his sister when she wasn’t from his pack?

I noticed the trees were looking different. It were like the trees around Silver Pack. What did the Lycan want there?

“If you can, do, but not to come out. Tell her to send all her border warriors inside to avoid them dying!” I replied.

His mind link locked again and what I heard was a loud howl. So that was what he had in mind? I hadn’t even thought of it.

Another wolf howled as response and another, then another. It kept on going.

“Alpha, he stopped at the border. Should I let him get in and know what he wants?” Ray asked again.

I caught sight of his wolf at that point, staying besides a tree. His gray wolf, under the moon, had a superior shine to it.

His wolf moved away towards the Lycan. I moved towards him. My jaw dropped seeing the Lycan.

His height was a sturdy eight feet and he had broad shoulders. His fur was black and he was on his hind feet, staring at the Silver Pack.

“She’s your sister, isn’t she?” the Lycan spoke, his voice deep, dark and trembling. It was clear and didn’t seem weak.

Was he speaking to Ray? His wolf made a nodding sound. Where they communicating?

“She is a powerful girl, that one. Has a lot of power running in veins. You two.” He turned to Ray, who was calmly besides him.

I didn’t understand what was happening. The man escaped prison, killed a guard and was casually chitchatting with my Beta.

The Lycan took a step forward, into Silver Pack. “I’d like to meet your sister, they are some things I need her for, things only she can help me with.”

What? How did he know she was his sister? He also wanted to causally walk up to Your Silver and ask for a favor?

“If you’d take me to her, I’d be grateful and leave your lands in peace. All I need is to save myself. I don’t mean trouble.” He kept on saying.

He didn’t mean trouble? Hadn’t he cause both destruction and death in my pack? I crawled closer but stepped on a twig.

He turned and I hid back. Surprise attack was the best to get to something as huge as he was.

Ray’s wolf sprang from it’s crouching position and faced him, his eyes were orange and flaming, with the usual burn of stubbornness.

“Alpha, his weak point is the head.” I heard him say in my mind link. I crawled closer, I’m glad he wasn’t trying to let the Lycan meet his sister.

The Lycan smirked, rising to it’s full length. “You don’t seem like you’d be taking me to her.”

Ray’s wolf snarled, prancing towards him. The Lycan went back, the stupid smirk on his face.

“Get him from your angle.” Ray added, then suddenly head butted the Lycan. The Lycan stood back, growling.

My claws left their places and I dived from where I was, speeding towards him. He saw me late and my claws scratched past his neck.

There was a huge fat around his neck, thick fat and my injury wasn’t fatal.

Ray head-butted him again, sending him back. My claws flung at him but he dodged, sending sand in the air.

“This won’t end well.” He barked, crouching down in a fighting stance, his hind legs bent back looking bulkier.

Things were surely not going to end well. He was going down. Just as Ray tried striking his muzzle, he ran back.

We chased after him but he cornered towards Silver Pack, crashing through their border. “Ray, block him. He’d hurt innocent wolfs!”

Ray increased his pace, howling as he came. The Lycan sent a barrel of silver powder our way just as he passed by the last border.

Ray jumped past it on time but it slowed me down. Why the hell did Silver Pack have barrels of silver laying around the border?

Their wolfs must have some resistance to it. It reminded me of when they attacked.

And seeing Ray literally had a twin who was a silver wolf, it explained why he was quite resistance.

“Ray, end him. He’s going too far!” I picked up pace. With his claws, Ray tore through fur of the Lycan making it slow down.

The Lucan growled in pain, he threw his hind legs behind him, sending Ray staggering back.

He fell on a tree and his side was swollen. I halted to help him. Trickle of blood was on his face from the impact.

How powerful was this Lycan?

As the Lycan turned to look back at us, I met his eyes. Red, burning with anger and hate, having nothing but sinister written in it.

“It’s an Alpha Lycan King.” Ray mouthed, his voce fading. “Alpha, avoid him...”

“Ray! Ray!!” I called but it only echoed in the empty forest.
