It's been a week since I met that arrogant man who called me a liar and a cheater. It's been a week, but the impact of what he told me is still with me, and I still find it difficult to forget. I am aware that I shouldn't pay attention to it because, as he claimed, I judged him and as a result, he retaliated against me.
But what I don’t know is why for me there is truth to what he said. Not because of the liar and deceiver, but because the writers are cowardly and hide in words and letters. Because I feel like that’s what I do every time I write. To conceal myself with the tales I created.
I snuck a peek out the window so I could just take a quick glance outside and saw mama smiling and nodding as she spoke to her flowers. She really thought her flowers were responding to her. Although I feel as though her flowers are wishing me a good morning from my window and I should be happy about it, the thought of it only makes me angrier.
Because for me, they look at me to annoy me. I feel like my mom really meant to plant them to annoy me every day. She does this to me because she knows I detest flowers. Just before returning to bed and closing the window, I gave some things some thought.
When an awful scene suddenly flashed through my mind, I laughed and got to my feet right away. I once more flung open the window to take a look at my mother's flowers. If my plan goes well, mama will surely mourn. And her plants will vanish like bubbles.
I adjusted myself first before going down. When committing a crime, one must be well-groomed. It needs to be fixed so that it is not obvious that I am planning something bad or that you are the suspect. It's only now that I'm smiling at my success in case my plan comes true.
I calmly stepped out, went to the kitchen, and then immediately went to the comfort room to take someone from there. When I got what I was looking for, I just smiled. Going through the backdoor to my mother's miniature garden, I began my strategy. I watched mama leave from behind what I had taken with me into the bathroom.
"They will all pass away later." Those ugly smiles will look like smiles of disaster when you drink the poison of death. Let me see what you will look like when you all wither.
After a while of waiting, I finally saw mama standing up and going through the front door, at which point I hurried over to the vase. I first made sure there was nobody around by looking around. I smiled and waved a bottle of Clorox in front of the flowers as soon as I was certain there wasn't any. I chuckle because I think of the obnoxious flowers I used to be and imagine the kids feeling sorry for me. It was as if they were bent over and seemed to be crying and asking for help.
I want to laugh at what I see. They look hopeless in my eyes.
"What are you now, you mockers?" I whispered to the flowers with a wide smile.
I was about to open the bottle when suddenly someone appeared behind me and I also jumped.
"What are you doing?" I quickly hid the bottle of Clorox behind me and then turned to the one who spoke. I gave him a dirty look because he was now in front of me and hadn't put me to sleep in a week. "I'm asking you what are you doing?" he repeated.
Did he see what I was holding? And what is he doing here in mama's garden? So as not to notice that I was planning something bad, I scolded him.
"What do you care about what I am planning to do?" I asked him back. "This is our home, so you don't have the right to ask me what I do at home. What on earth are you doing in our home? You want to steal, right? I scolded him as I gave him my cursed face.
"It's really natural for you to be judgmental, isn't it?" Also, he asked me. "You claimed that I didn't notice what was behind you. You are keeping Clorox a secret and intend to water your mother's plant with it." I was speechless at what he said. Does that mean he actually saw it?
"You know what I'm holding, so why did you ask?" He was shaken by what I said. "Then no one will believe you if you report what you saw, so leave before I shout that there is a thief here and my dad will call the police." I threatened him while waiting for him to leave.
"Then scream. Do you want me to shout with you? ” He challenged me. So I was even more disgusted.
A brief moment of silence as though an angel had just gone by. I saw his smile and then I noticed that he had a dimple. Although it's not immediately apparent from looking at him, this man is quite old—I believe he's ten years older than I am. Well, I don't care about him because he's not important. I just noticed how close he was to me.
"What now?" he asked me. We can shout together, so that makes us both happy, he continued.
"Oh Jr., you're already there, how long have you been here?" Mama was carrying a vase when I saw her emerge from the house. The arrogant smiled at me before facing mama.
"No, I just came and brought the vase that my mother gave you," Then I noticed that he was carrying a vase. I raised an eyebrow at him when he grinned at me and then walked over to mama.
'Oh, is that it?' This is also the vase that I will replace with your mother's vase. I went outside thinking she was the one who had arrived, but it was actually you. Please thank her for me," my mother said.
The asshole lowered what he was carrying to accept what mama had handed him after nodding to her in agreement and respect.
"I will go now," When he found the vase he required, he bid Mama farewell.
"Have a snack first." Mother invited him.
"No thanks and I'm still full." He declined, and I secretly rejoiced. It's a good thing that he refuses. But before he left, he whispered to me. "You owe me, Hija, I'll charge you and just wait." The animal, who is quite attractive, even winked. It looks like a monkey.
Mama enters the house after the asshole has left. I am aware that I would have received a reprimand if he had complained to my mother earlier. Because she will undoubtedly believe that asshole, especially given that I am holding Clorox. He especially knew I was mad at flowers.
"Oh Mia, what are you doing there?" mama asked me when she noticed me not going inside.
"To inhale the fresh air, why is it not allowed in your garden?" I turned around so that mama wouldn't see what was hidden behind me. When I turned around, the flowers were in my face as if they were proudly sticking their tongues out at me and telling me that my plan for them had failed. They act like young kids teasing each other and dancing to disco.
‘Just have fun and your time is coming.’
