A Night With My CEO Chapter 54

I woke up to find that I was already in the car. It must have been morning when he picked me up so that Yuna couldn't catch us, but before we left, he cleaned the bed we used. He asked his bodyguards to send a replacement cover and he changed it. The sun was approaching when we returned to his house. Before I could enter I saw Aria waiting outside her door. Don’t tell me she didn’t sleep all night just to wait for Adams. I couldn't wait for Adams to open the door for me and I went out on my own.

I walked in first and passed Aria because I just don’t want to start a mess so I was the only one to avoid. One more thing, I have to get into the office today. I can't be absent. Even though my relationship is with the owner of the company, I don't want to take advantage of that just to have the privilege.

"Adams," she called before I walked onto the stairs. I tightened my fist to keep my annoyance at bay since I didn't want to ruin my mood in the morning. I didn't bother waiting for Adams anymore and walked directly to my room. I got ready soon after because I had an obligation at the office. I'm not sure if I'll ask Adams to send me off since I don't want us to have a problem in the office. They could accuse me of fabricating an explanation for my absence just because Adams is my boyfriend.

When I finished showering and dressing, I went right away; I didn't say goodbye to Adams because I wasn't talking to him. I noticed his car in the garage and he had no idea I was going. I stopped insisting since it appeared that he would not wait for me. I'm not going to cram myself into him. It's fine if he doesn't want me to accompany him, and it's also fine if he wants to.

Everyone on the first floor of the building was staring at me when I initially walked in. I was astonished when I glanced at them since they were whispering after they looked at me. They've just fueled my rage today. They are still on the hunt. When I arrived on the elevator, the people inside were exiting and couldn't explain their expression. Since they didn't appear to have any intentions to ride with me, I took the elevator, and every time it stopped and someone was ready to ride, they all halted when they saw me.

My co-workers did the same thing when I arrived at the proper floor. Because the others are grim-faced, their look burrows into my soul, as if they are assessing the character. The majority of them are women; the guys appear pathetic and lusty to me, so I simply gazed at them. I had no intention of hitting their ugly faces since their expressions were repulsive.

"Pst!" I searched around for the source of the call. When I turned back at the door I had walked through, I saw Yuna calling to me. My brow wrinkled since we had just cleaned her bed; why was she here again? I didn't hesitate any longer and approached her because she appeared to be intending to call me again.

Even before I could fully extricate myself, she drew me and almost knocked me down with the power of her grip. Fortunately, there weren't many people in the corridor; perhaps they were already in their own rooms, because I nearly fell due to the pace of our stroll. She led me to a secluded area where no one could see us. Her expression was unlike that of the folks who were staring at me. She appears scared and concerned. My brow furrowed even further, as if they knew something I didn't.

"Do you already know what the problem is?" She holds my palm tightly. "What brought you in today?" she questioned, looking around to see if anybody could hear us.

"Wait," I said as I let go of the hand that was holding me and sighed. "You already know I'm afraid of your reaction. Could you just tell me what you want to say so that I don't have to guess?" I told her calmly, despite the fact that I couldn't explain the warriors battling in my chest.

He didn't spend any time pulling out her phone. She had some presses there, then showed them to me, and I was about to pass out when I watched the video he was showing. My face was already obvious in Adams' previous streaming clip. I couldn't move, and my tears had condensed. I'm curious what would have occurred if Adams had told me that the website he was using was exclusive and that the corporation couldn't obtain the video. I sat on the floor, looking up at Yuna, who was sobbing as well.

"Don't go to the office first; I'll take care of your needs if you want. You are welcome to reside at my home." She attempts to hoist me up from my fall to the floor, and I hold her up on her arm for support. Even though my throat felt dry when I stood up, I spoke.

"Can you take my purse, I need to contact Adams." I let go of her and leaned against the wall, gaining strength there. When she confirmed that I was standing properly, she sprinted to our office room and returned in less than two minutes. She realized I probably didn't have the energy anymore, so she rummaged for my phone and handed it to me.

Despite my trembling hand, I tried to find his phone number on my phone. When I saw it, I put the phone to my ear, biting my nail, and waited for him to answer it, but it always rang on the first call. I tried calling again, but the second time his phone was switched off and he couldn't be reached.

I had no idea why my hot tears were streaming down my cheeks in fear.
