Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 22

Megan's POV

I could see gray streaks in her still thick head of hair and wrinkles on her face, but I recognized her. It recognized her as the woman who had helped me all those years before. I used to imagine she was there as I cuddled a pillow at night. Imagine that she was stroking my hair with her fingertips as the aroma of chocolate chip cookies lingered on her. Through my window, I used to watch the moon rise and fervently hope that she would return to take me with her.

A few days later, I went back to the home, but to my disappointment, it was vacant. She hadn't forgotten about me, however. A first aid kit, a bag of brand-new clothing, a stack of cash, and a box of chocolate chip cookies were all on the kitchen counter. When I went home, Alpha snatched the bag, took the cash, ate my cookies, and torched my clothing, but I didn't care. I believed for years that someone out there in the world cared about me.

It was my motivation. despite the pounding, the anguish, the screaming, and the fists. I considered her. Of the ladies who treated me with the same maternal concern. I would call out her name and make a moon goddess prayer in the hopes that one day she would come looking for me. And she has now.

She gave me a wide-eyed look as Alpha Jason led me cautiously and slowly to the chair where he was seated before he became aware of my presence. He sat on the stool next to me after filling a glass of water and setting it down in front of me. The dark-haired guy, who I assumed to be his father, was now positioned close to his mother. He shared his son's facial characteristics and green eyes.

The uneasy stillness in the room was caused by his mother's amazement and his father's blank stares as they both looked at me. He then grinned. His face began to show the effects of years of smiling, and his lovely eyes began to wrinkle.

"Ah." He shattered the hush. "I assume you're Megan. I've learned so much about you through Asher. Normally, I would have been scared if someone had said this to me, but his tone was kind and compassionate. He regarded me with the same devotion a parent would have for a kid. I was at a loss for words. I glanced at the table top as my hands in my lap began to tremble. My breath began to get heavier, and I could hear the hammering of my heart in my ears. I was at a loss for words. I was at a loss for what to do. All of this was unusual for me.

The word "Dad." Jason's voice seemed to be a little strained. "I need to talk to you. Can we visit your office? In the corner of his eye, I saw him taking a quick look at my trembling hands and frantic figure. His father agreed but had a perplexed gaze between us.

I was left alone with the mother of Alpha, the Luna, as they both got up and left down the corridor. Her soft eyes were still on me alone. She was seated opposite from me, her lovely brown eyes filled with tears. She is aware of me.

"Do you still remember?" She murmurs. I nodded and blinked back my own tear.

I said, "Yes."

Hey Honey. How did he treat you?

Jason's POV

"Do you still remember?"

"Yes."

Hey Honey. How did he treat you? I couldn't help but hear what they were saying. Which remember? Who exactly hurt my partner? I already had a ton of questions about her, but now I have even more. Did my parents know my partner?

She'll explain a bit later, your mum. Give them some time to talk. I gave a slow head nod, but I also glanced over my shoulder. My father followed me as I opened the door to my office and sat down in my chair. Now, tell me about this anomalous problem. I moaned.

"On them, there isn't much information. They seem to be packing up and migrating from one location to another. Some claim there are just a handful of them, while others claim there is a whole pack. No one is able to locate them, and there are no reliable leads. I used my fingers to massage my temples. They have assaulted previously, but not in a way that resulted in catastrophic injuries. He understood and nodded his head.

"Increase the patrol size a little to maintain security. Have a few follow to see if they can locate anything if the onslaught continues. Did you guys look for anything at the assault site?

Borders have already been secured. They work shorter shifts, which prevents fatigue, and there are nearly twice as many of them. I yanked my hair in annoyance. "We did find something, but it makes absolutely no sense."

The question "What was it?"

"A blossom. an ivory blossom." ................................................................

When we were through talking, Dad and I went back into the kitchen. Even though he made an effort to make sense of the situation, additional questions remained unanswered. The aroma of just-baked cookies permeated the space. It was amazing and addictive to smell Megan and the mouthwatering fragrance coming from the oven. Mom glanced at me right away and dragged me out of the room as she took the tray out of the oven and placed it on top. I cried because I wasn't given my cookie.

"You still have an obsession with those cookies after all these years." She chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I can't help it." I crossed my arms and huffed. I was dragged inside the first room she found.

"That wasn't the topic I wanted to discuss. I wanted to discuss Megan with you. I immediately straightened up, and I had forgotten about the cookies.

The question "What about her?" Concerned, I enquired.

Simply treat her fairly. She beseeched. Don't injure her, please. She has already endured enough.

I objected, "Mom!" "How on earth could you believe I would harm her? I never would!"

I'm saying, "I know, I know." She gave me comfort. "She's.. Just be kind to her; she's had a rough life.

"What transpired? What's not right? I inquired in a panic. She shook her head and turned to face me, her eyes filled with grief.

I have no business telling you. She will let you know when she is prepared.
