Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 21

Young Megan's POV

I was in the woods, curling up against a tree to shield my body from the chilly breeze. When an important visitor was scheduled to arrive, Alpha informed me that I needed to clean, prepare food, and leave the house before he returned. I couldn't finish in time. Alpha arrived home from his 'delivery pick up' before I had completed setting the table since dinner was taking longer than anticipated.

"Do what I told you to do," I said. He shut the door hard. "One thing, and you pitiful, helpless, stupidass is unable to do anything! I'm not even sure why I even keep you around anymore.

His words reverberated in my ears, and I forced my eyes tight as tears streamed down my cheeks. The agony from his pounding still radiated throughout my whole body. He hurled a beer bottle at my head while I was still able to hear the glass break. Glass fragments were still lodged in my flesh.

You have no value. He pulls my hair and slams my head on the marble countertop while snarling. "No talent at all. useless in the least!" I was on the floor trembling when he took the hot water I had on the stove and threw it over me, but I didn't scream. Screaming would just intensify the pounding.

I had the flu. For days, I hadn't eaten. Alpha put delayed purchasing meals and instead spent all of his money on his "buddies." My skin was being eaten away by the cold, forceful wind, which made me feel exposed and frightened. Just that it wasn't pouring made me happy.

The woods became darker as the sun sank, and my anxiety increased. As the sun dipped below the horizon and stopped warming the Earth, the air became cooler. Animals, the woods' monsters, started to emerge as the silver moon peeked above the tall trees.

With their screams echoing off the woods, rogues sung to the moon. Hoping they wouldn't discover me, I curled up even further into the tree and held my knees to my chest. Not because they had permission, but because they were free to roam this area. Because Alpha stopped sending patrols to watch over and safeguard the area, anybody could go into the property and do anything they pleased without suffering any repercussions. I know what the rogues are capable of. They were wild creatures who lurked in the dark and under children's beds. I had no desire to meet any.

As the shouts became louder, I struggled with my trembling hands to keep from whimpering. Now that the cold had fully numbed me, I was unable to distinguish if my trembling was caused by anxiety, pain, or the virtually nonexistent cold.

"Oh my!" A quiet voice exhaled. "Sweetheart? Are you alright? She took care not to frighten me with her soft, soothing voice. I shook and pressed my back harder into the tree. My delicate skin was pierced by the sharp bark, and I whimpered. Oh, Sweetheart, it's all right. I won't injure you if you come here. I peeked at the woman from above my knees.

her gaze. That's why I had faith in her. They were a cozy hue of brown, full of care, goodness, and knowledge. They were not at all like my father's ice-blue, steel-colored eyes that burned with wrath. Her eyes gave me a sense of security since they reminded me of the eyes I imagine my own mother to have. They served as my temporary home since they were secure and reassuring.

I shakily extended my arms toward her after carefully separating my rigid arms from my legs. She didn't take long to pick me up off the ground and hold me in her arms. She gave my back a soothing massage that felt warm to the touch. It's OK. You'll be OK now. I tightened my grip on her and buried my head more into her soft neck.

She moved away from Alpha's home and farther into the woods. She entered one of the guest houses and saw a big, white automobile parked in the driveway. The moment she opened the door, warmth was the first thing I noticed. In the fireplace, there was a crackling sound of fire. The guest house has a relaxing atmosphere and presence.

I was placed on a comfortable chair by the woman after she moved toward the fire. I'll return immediately You should simply remain there, sweetheart. She moved away from me and down a corridor. Just as she had left me, I remained.

"Janina?" From the direction the woman had just gone, a man had called. "Are you there?"

Yeah, that's me, Xavier. Her phone rang again. Do you know the location of the first aid kit? I can recall when you last had it. The sound of heavy footfall echoed down the hallway.

Why is a first aid kit necessary? What part of you hurts? What took place?" The man's voice was filled with anxiety and concern, and he seemed scared and terrified.

"Xav, I'm good." She gave him comfort. During my stroll, I discovered a little one in the woods. "She looks like she was beaten, and I found her shivering against a tree," she says, lowering her voice to a whisper. She's not doing very well. They lowered their voices, and all I could hear was their hushed voices instead of what they were saying.

From farther down the corridor, footsteps moved in my way. In the hall's dim corners stood a towering, enormous guy. He was enormous—bigger than Alpha—and I began to tremble. Whimpering, I crouched down on the sofa in an effort to shield the majority of my body in case he wanted to confront me and punish me. I'm not sure why the odd guy would punish me, but there is usually something.

"Xavier, kindly return to our chamber. Can't you see that you're frightening her? She gave his chest a gentle push while holding a white box with a red cross below her arm. The guy gave me one more glance before turning and walking down the corridor. She gathered all of her stuff while sitting on the sofa. She used cotton balls to my wounds after cleaning them with alcohol. She got out tweezers and carefully removed the glass fragments from my head. She then removed several bandages with images of a guy wearing a strange 'S' on the front of a red and blue outfit. I'm sorry, but the only bandages I have are Superman ones; they are my son's favorite, but they will work.

I said, "Thank you." I softly retorted. This was the first time in a long time that someone had shown me compassion.

She smiled at me warmly and applied the adhesive bandages to my face. She stood up, turned away from me, and entered another room. After then, she returned with a platter of cookies and a long glass of milk. I've baked cookies in the past, but I was never permitted to consume them. I didn't try to eat the plate or drink from the glass when she placed them in front of me since they weren't for me.

"If you want them, you can have them." She indicated the plate. Just keep it a secret from my kid; he loves them. She gave me a wink. I gave a headshake.

"I don't want to rile him up,"

Saying "Don't worry." She gave me a cookie and shook her head. "He's asleep, and I won't tell if you won't." I took the cookie gently and nibbled on it. One of the greatest things I've ever tasted, it was incredibly sweet. As she stroked her long fingers over my hair, my body started to gradually unwind. My eyes became heavy, and I groaned. The woman then positioned my body so that I was lying on the sofa before wrapping a nice, fluffy blanket over it. She proceeded to stroke my hair with her fingers as she gave my forehead a quick kiss.

I awoke and glanced around the pitch-black space. I could tell it was around four in the morning by the bright red digits on the clock. I had to return home because I knew that if I didn't prepare breakfast for Alpha, I would have a serious thrashing. I wanted to remain with the nice woman and didn't want to leave her. I didn't want to go, but I knew I couldn't remain since she reminded me of my mother.

I softly stood up and folded the blanket the woman had been using to cover myself. I didn't have to wipe up the table since the milk and cookies were no longer there. I opened the door quickly and snuck out into the early morning gloom.

I never ran across the kind woman again.
