Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 62

Keeping my cool for as long as I did was challenging, but as soon as I saw the first Lunae Lumen bloom on the ground, I lost it. The route I had to travel in order to get to his corpse was marked by the gorgeously illuminated flowers, which shone as they absorbed the moonlight. They were an exact match for the moon's hue, pleading with the Moon Goddess to take him into her night sky. To remove his spirit from his mortal body, bless it, and transform it into a star so that we may always be able to see him. in order for him to observe us from above.

The light didn't appear strong enough to reflect his pure spirit; it felt faint. Not even close to capturing the significance of his life, his relevance to others, or how much he meant to them. I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of how much he meant to me. They should be producing a brilliant light, not this drab sliver.

I could feel my soul screaming out to its other half as I got closer to him. When he didn't call me back and utterly abandoned me, tears welled in my eyes, and I felt more alone than ever. Without him by my side and knowing that I was to blame, I was left to travel this planet alone.

My eyesight became hazy as the water droplets gathered around my eyes, forcing me to trip over a tree root. My arm was grabbed by a powerful hand that stretched out to support me. Although the warm appendage did not come from the guy I was hoping for, it did provide some solace.

"How are you doing, Luna?" Just as he would, Jackson questioned me while furrowing his brow. His eyes were swollen as well, displaying his own worry and grief about losing his buddy and Alpha. We were all going through some serious difficulties.

"I -- I cannot." I didn't care that there were many people witnessing my collapse behind me as I cried into his chest.

"I know, be quiet. I should not have asked you, I do know. Of course, you're not OK. Although I didn't find any solace in his comments, I did respect his attempts.

Just simply, "I can't." I cried out, clinging to his shirt for support, even if it was only momentary.

"You'll and you can. I am aware that you will always regret not going to visit him one final time and saying goodbye. He moved me away from his chest by grabbing my favorite in his hands. He offered me a weak, dejected grin as I wiped away my tears.

"You must carry out this."

, "I-I know." It was accurate. Even though I was already doing it, I realized that if I didn't say goodbye to him, I would rip myself apart from the inside out. It's simply so challenging.

It was unheard of for me to imagine seeing his face, which was pallid and expressionless. I was used to his golden, sun-kissed complexion, cheerful grin, and one dimple that sometimes appeared on his face. As I entered the room, unable to hear the beats altering rate, his heart could no longer beat faster. I didn't want to think about how lifeless and intolerant his eyes would be. I couldn't determine whether to be outraged that I would never have the chance to see his eyes one more time or grateful that they were concealed behind his eyelids.

I inhaled deeply, clenched my hands at my sides, and took a timid step forward before continuing at a slow but steady pace. As I led them alone for the first of many to come, I could hear the screams of his people, my people, behind me. I had to continuously remind myself that not only did I experience this loss, but others did as well. They lost their beloved Alpha along with friends, family, and partners. They were meant to hate the Luna who killed him, but now they were shackled to her for all time.

I could see his last resting spot as the white blossoms became denser. In an effort to impart some type of life to this terrible day, luminous plants built a bed on the ground. I shifted my gaze to avoid seeing him for as long as I could.

For a very long period, no one spoke. He had anticipated that I would utter some words that would send his soul into the arms of the Moon Goddess and return his body to Mother Nature. I was aware that they anticipated me to bid them farewell and reassure them that I would lead them. But I was completely unable to talk since I could not raise my voice at all.

Jackson murmured, "He's-he's gone," as if in shock at the realization that the man had indeed died and was now attempting to enter the hereafter.

I-I am aware. He is gone. I mumbled in response, losing all feeling, and spoke in a monotone.

"No, take a look." He took a step forward, and I saw that he seemed to be scanning the surroundings for something as he did so. His body has vanished.

I raised my head and looked at the flowerbed in front of me. While some of the blooms were squashed by the weight of his body, others remained lush and full. A group of pedals could be seen farther down near where his feet would have been, trailing out into the wilderness as if he had just stood up and left.

"He's-he's gone?"
