Jason's POV
I could feel the tears drying out on my skin, which in turn caused the skin on my face to become dry. Even though I could feel the salt beginning to crust over, I had no plans to go somewhere to rinse it off even though I could feel it happening. Because of my anxiety, I was physically unable to move from where I was, thus I was forced to remain in close proximity to my partner. I needed reassurance that she was doing well and that she was still present.
When she was with me, she felt safe. Her clothing carried my scent, which helped me further recognize him as mine and put my wolf at ease. I was only able to focus on her composure, which I hoped would serve as a warning to her about the potentially dangerous situation that she had just been in. One that had the potential to steal her life and remove her from me, just like it had done to another, just as it had done to another, might have occurred. As I worked to remove the recollections from her skin, I moved her in closer to me and rubbed my hands over the chill of her legs. I was hoping to make them go.
While I focused on deciphering what she was trying to convey with her expression, my eyes never left her face. Despite the fact that they seemed reassuring, her words never offered me a complete picture of the situation. They never gave me the full truth; rather, they only said things to keep me from feeling insulted by what they had to say. Her expressions, thoughts, and feelings were all communicated to me via her face. I was quite appreciative due to the fact that she had not yet worked out how to conceal it from me.
At this moment, she seemed to have no worries on her mind. She did it with a calm demeanor and a teeny-tiny smile on her face as she nestled herself on my chest. Her concentration was totally devoted to the captivating film that she was watching. Her excitement for Disney and Pixar movies was infectious to see, and I couldn't really hold it against her since they are some of the best movies that have ever been produced.
As I traced the lines over her face with my fingers, I went back over the already-formed, invisible routes I had made earlier. I was in awe of her silky skin and the warm smile that I had received as a consequence of my actions; both were a direct outcome of my actions. She moaned and wrapped her body around me even more tightly as I ran my fingers through her hair in addition to merely touching her face. Her eyes started to glaze over and she eventually lost her ability to concentrate, so she stopped paying attention to the movie.
"Lucy is on her way back now. She let me know that we need to have our conversation in private. I let out a low groan. The vast majority of our so-called "private" conversations came to an end with her either forcing herself onto me, berating a number of other individuals, or shouting at me as I was trying to get her to go.
Megan assuaged my fears by assuring me that "She won't be like that anymore." It was as if she had read my mind. "I solemnly vow that during the course of the last several months, or maybe even longer, I have not enjoyed any of our conversations.
However, I am conscious of the fact that won't be the case going forward. I hated what I was doing and gave the matter some thought while continuing to be absolutely perplexed.
"How precisely did she come to know about you, in any case? Why would you ever want to go outside the bounds set by the pack? She grasped my hand and fiddled with my fingers while avoiding making eye contact with me the whole time.
"I believe that will be something the two of you will talk about," She continued to avoid answering my questions, which led me to believe that my assumptions were correct. Megan was aware of the cause, but I wanted to hear it from Lucy herself before making any accusations before making any complaints. Following that, we kept watching the movie and taking pleasure in one another's presence while maintaining our previous level of silence.
Megan's Point of View
It bothered me to have to keep some things a secret from him. I got a knot in my stomach and a horrible feeling in my chest, but I understood that Lucy had to tell him on her own. It was hard for me to keep still, to keep moving about constantly, and to find something to play with. Since I was having a hard time keeping the confession to myself, it seemed as if my body was making an effort to force it out of me.
Lucy has reportedly informed me that "I'm almost there."
When there was an abrupt pause in the conversation, Jason, who was standing behind me, tensed up and let out a low warning growl. Because we were both able to sense it, we were both aware that there was an issue. Jason got off the couch and carried out what I instructed him to do. As Jason made his way to the door and hissed once more at it, he pushed me out of the way and threw me behind him.
He is not hidden from view. His tone was deep and angry, and it came out in his voice.
However, Lucy may be found outdoors.
I have no doubt that she is. She moved forward while carrying him.
"The only thing we want to do is talk. He swore that he would in no way instigate anybody or anything.
I made an attempt to go around him while also saying, "Let's just go see what they want."
"No." He yelled loudly and angrily, even blocking my path to the door with his arm to prevent me from entering the room. He has done enough damage to you at this point. You are going to follow in tight pursuit after me. I stepped out the door behind him as he opened it and followed him outside.
Due to the fact that Finn began to utter "Megan-" while approaching me, Jason felt compelled to provide his opinion on the matter.
Maintain a distance that is safe.
After Megan apologized and said, "I'm sorry, I-I didn't know," I moved to the side so that we could both see each other and said, "I know." "I am aware of that, and it's OK with me. I have cleared the slate with you.
Both Finn and Jason exclaimed at the same time, "That's not right," as if they were in sync.
I was aware that Dad would often lie to other people, but I never imagined that he would lie to me, his own son. The true agony and guilt that I saw in his eyes was something that I could relate to on some level.
Nobody expects to be led astray by someone they care about, especially by members of their own family. He indicated his assent by nodding his head. "I had no idea that I came from a family until the first time I met you. Even back then, when I found out that you were really my cousin, I thought you were my brother.
I have been made aware. Lucy explained everything to me in great detail. He spoke such words while making a cursory gesture in the direction of the blonde who was sitting next to him. The person who was deceived remarked, "When we were growing up, I always thought you were my sister, but it turns out you're actually my cousin who was betrayed." His eyes gradually began to well up with tears.
"I was completely unaware that he had hurt you in such a manner." Another effort was made by him to get my attention.
"If you so much as breathe on her, I will take your life."
"I won't hurt her," he assured her. "I promise."
To which Jason said, "You have already," and then took a shot.
I responded by moving forward myself and said, "Jason, don't worry about it. Although Jason was giving me a challenge to turn around, I did not give in.
I kept going until I was standing directly in front of Finn, at which point I said, "Megan-" I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my head on his collarbone as I did so. My arms were spread wide as I did this. After that, he immediately wrapped his arms around me and held me close.
"I'm really sorry. I really do apologize. He enticed me closer by muttering something in his ear.
