Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 72

Megan's POV

"Please, be careful," I spoke in my head, sending my ideas across the group and into the other person's head.

'I will." Blaire answered. "They believe in me."

My head was resting on the top of Jason's face as he hugged me tight to his chest. Even though I protested that I was alright after regaining sensation in my feet, he wouldn't let me go. Although he carried me the whole way home in front of other people, I couldn't help but feel warm within because of his deeds. Although I was appreciative of his actions, I was also proud of how powerful he was and how my stamina had been destroyed.

"You're always trying to keep me on my toes, aren't you?" As soon as the door closed behind him and gave us solitude, he inquired. The inquiry seemed fun, but his tone was serious. He wasn't furious, but he was serious.

"Umm.." I spoke while pressing up against his chest so I could glance up and see his face and hear his uneasy tone.

"You scared the hell out of me." Tears started to form in his eyes, and his face was gradually becoming blotchy red.

I wiped his tears as they dropped on his cheeks, saying "I'm sorry," with sincerity. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

His face was deeper buried in my palms as he leaned forward, his eyes were closed, and he took a long inhale. He remained quiet for a little while, letting me think by myself. As he becomes silent, my anxiousness increases. I was concerned about what he could be thinking about and if he was angry at me.

"I know." He murmured and kissed a palm of mine. "Even though I didn't know where you were, I was nonetheless concerned. When it's anything that affects you, I'll worry forever.

"I know. When it comes to you, I have the same reaction. I murmured while softly rubbing his scalp as I moved my hand from his cheeks to his hair. Around me, I could feel his rigid muscles loosen, and I could see his jaw relax. I learned about it one night as we cuddled in bed. It was a weakness of his. I was drawn to the texture and appearance of his hair, and when I gave in to temptation and began to play with it, I unintentionally stumbled onto his fixation with my hair.

He groaned and lowered his head so I could get closer. You will be the cause of my demise. He mumbled.

"Probably." I attempted to lighten the situation by making jokes.

"You're going to make my hair gray before it should," He replied in jest, and I stifled a chuckle.

I murmured, again rubbing my nails over his scalp, drawing a deep grunt in response. "Most likely," I answered. His hands tightened around my waist, irritating my moist shirt.

What really transpired, though? Pulling at the damp material, he enquires.

Amy deceived me and invited me into the woods for a brief conversation. I replied, trying to be as ambiguous as possible, "I also spoke with Finn.

"So why are you completely wet?"

I hesitated and tugged at the skin-tight cloth before continuing, "I was, uh-" If I informed him, I knew he would get upset, but I knew I had to. I just couldn't tell him a lie. The water was pushed me into.

He yanked his head away from my hand as his eyes widened. He released another deep, guttural groan as his muscles balled up. Green glanced at Blake as rage swept through him. The most angry I've ever seen him, my hand at my side started to shake, but I wasn't afraid—just uneasy.

"You were pushed into the river, and you didn't ask me for help?" His voice was deep and he talked slowly. Did you even attempt to inform anyone?

I hung my head in shame since I was unable to provide the desired response. I was still getting accustomed to being a part of the pack. In my complete fear, I didn't even consider the pack link. Regrettably, I shook my head for him while looking down at the little puddle my clothing was creating on the floor.

My face was raised by his hands as they held it. Even though his eyes were no longer completely dark, they were still rage-filled. Even though he was now at ease, a deep scowl remained on his face, showing that he was still quite angry about what I had done.

You could have passed away. His eyes softened with each syllable as he spoke in a whisper. His fingers became tangled up in my tangled hair as he brushed the damp hair from my face.

I put my hands over his and mumbled, "I'm sorry," back.

"Go change and get dried off. I'm coming down here. When you're finished, come join me. He mumbled and kissed my head before slipping out and down the corridor. As I climbed the stairs, I winced as the carpet became soggy under my feet. I quickly grabbed a set of clothing and headed for the restroom. I put on some shorts and one of Jason's hoodies after drying off the towel. I couldn't do anything to address the matted mess on my head since the brush was nowhere to be seen.

"Jason?" While returning down the stairs, I yelled out to L. Despite the water having been completely removed, the carpet still retained a faint stain where it had formerly been. I asked, "Where are you?"

Sweetheart, I'm in the living room. I found the intended room by following the sound of his voice. The brush I had been hunting for was in his hands as he sat on the sofa with the television off.

Say, "Come sit down." As he spoke, he patted the sofa next to him. "I want to say sorry."

"What for?" While seated where he wanted me, I inquired. I was lying on the sofa with my back to him after he turned. He started to carefully detangle the knots in my hair while taking care not to tug too forcefully.

"I may have been overly critical of you. I apologize for shouting at you.

"I understand why you did it, therefore it's alright. Simply put, you were disturbed and concerned about me. It's OK.

"No, no, I overreacted, and I'm sorry for that." He remarked as I cocked my head to see more of the hair he was missing. "I had a good right to be angry, but it wasn't necessary. I shouldn't have been so enraged. I apologize if I frightened you.

I wasn't scared by you. You wouldn't harm me, I know that.

Even while I'm delighted you know I wouldn't harm you, that isn't the point. I never intended for you to view me in that way. I turned around when I heard him place the brush on the table. His face was pale, and his hands were trembling on his legs.

"Are you alright?" I questioned while grabbing his hands.

If I had lost you, I don't know what I would have done. The more he shook his hands.

I gripped his hands more tightly and questioned, "Jason?" "What's wrong?" you ask.

"I haven't always had the best luck with that river," she said. He groaned and turned his hands around to clasp my hand properly. "My parents added another rogue to the group a few years ago. He was just six or seven years old. Nikos was his name. He was a little obnoxious and noisy, as most kids are, but I warmed up to him and he warmed up to me. I regarded him as my younger brother. He gave me a sign and lowered his head to avoid my eyes.

He often caused trouble and was quite daring. Ryland and his sister once visited since Nikos didn't have any playmates his age at the time. He developed feelings for her right away and tried a lot of strange things to impress her, but they just made her laugh.

Ryland asked me to monitor his sister while he was gone since he had to depart due to a personal matter. I agreed, assuming it wouldn't be too difficult. While Ryland and I were conversing, Nikos stole away from me in an effort to impress her once again. Considering that we were playing hide and seek, I was left to go in search of them. His hold on my hands became more firm.

"I first heard the screaming at that point. She dove into the river after Nikos to try to assist him when he couldn't get out. He took a lengthy pause, and a tear ran from his eye.

Only she was saved by me. He muttered. "He had already left by the time I reached him. He'd drowned.

I embraced him and said, "Jason," in a soft voice. You are not to blame.

The answer is "Yes, it was." He wept onto my shoulder while trembling. I neglected to observe them as I was supposed to.

"You kept one of them alive. Just Nikos' turn to be taken before the Moon Goddess. I responded, raising his face and starting to wipe away his tears.

He continued to cry for a short time, which was quite anticipated. I was aware of his deep love for kids, and I could see he had been conflicted about this for a long time. My recent brush with the water has brought up old feelings and recollections.

You see, that's why I drive that expensive vehicle. Following a period of quiet, he remarked. "There is no need for vehicles in the woods, therefore I've never understood why people need them. When other automobiles are less expensive and do the same function, it seems like a waste of money to me. It was a gift from Ryland to me in appreciation for rescuing his sister. He replied, squeezing my face with a kiss as he pulled me into his lap.

It was merely a terrible reminder at first, therefore I loathed it. It spent the longest time in the garage. I took it for a test drive on the day of his passing. It serves as a constant reminder of the time we spent together. If it makes any sense, it still hurts, but it's a wonderful kind of pain.

I offered him a smile and a beautiful, chaste kiss after turning around. Even though he had reddened his cheeks and had tears in his eyes, he still had a radiant appearance. He grinned and started kissing my face and neck, making me giggle.

"Jason!" As his lips and hair tickled my skin, I yelled in joy. He backed away while laughing out loud and loudly. He laid his forehead on mine while still chuckling.

Saying "I love you." He smiled and said.

"I love you, too."
