Alpha’s Second Chance Mate Chapter 10

_Ariana’s POV_

Thanking him, I was about to go back to my room when someone rushes past me going straight to Damien.

“Alpha, we found the van." The man says and I stop in my tracks. They found the van?

I turn to look at Damien, his eyes already on me.

“I'm coming too." I say, leaving no room for him to refuse me.

“Ariana." Damien starts but I raise my hands stopping his words.

“They are my children and I need to be there just incase of anything. Please let me come with.” I plead with him but he sighs.

"Ariana stay here and wait for me. If the children are there, I promise to come back with them unharmed. We can't be sure if this is a trap or not. We have to be prepared for anything.” He assures me, his hands on my shoulder.

I didn't miss that he had said ‘if’, meaning there's a high chance the children are not there. We just have to hope that they get found this time.

“Listen to him Ari. Damien is right. Just wait here for him.” Snow tells me completely siding with him.

Funny that ever since we got here she mostly talks to me about something Damien or Alfred said.

When Damien sees that I wasn't going to try and follow, he nods to the other man and they both hurry out.

I follow them out, stopping at the front porch as I watch them get into a van and drive off.

Oh Lord, please let them find my babies.

I sit outside, waiting for them to return.

_Damien’s POV_

It took us two hours to drive to where the van was located. It didn't take long before I saw the van discarded close to the woods.

Carefully approaching the vehicle, I looked around but no sign of life was seen.

There's nothing here. They took the kids, dumped the car and fled.

“Search the car and the surrounding area for anything you can find." I order them, walking back to our van.

When I get whoever kidnapped my kids, they would pay with their lives.

After an hour of searching, nothing that could lead us to the children were found.

I smash my hand against the steering wheel in frustration.

“Sir." One of the men called, coming over eith what seemed to be a piece of paper.

“What's that?" I ask snatching it from his hands and reading through it.

“We found it under the car, maybe it fell out when they were leaving the car or something.” He said, waiting for me to say something.

It was a flyer for a carnival. A carnival that would happen in a few days.

We were looking for anything that would give us a hint on where the kids where kept and I hope this would lead me to my children.

“Let's go back." I rev the engine, waiting for them to get into the car and drive off.

We got back to the pack house by 8:40 and I slammed the door shut, storming off. Ariana was sitted outside with her knees to her chest and her head resting on her knees.

Don't tell me she has been waiting here since I left. Walking to her, I tap her softly just to wake her up and her eyes snaps open immediately.

She looks behind me like she was expecting the children to run to her before she looks at me, jer eyes searching mine.

I shake my head sadly at her, and I see the hope she had die.

“I'm sorry. The car was empty when we got there. No traces of them could be seen around."

"Oh.” She says dryly, pushing herself up.

“We found this though." I say stopping her and she immediately snatches the paper out of my hands, reading it.

“It's a circus carnival." She whispered to herself, she looked like she just remembered something as her eyes widened.

"What? What is it? Did you remembered anything? Anything to lead us to them?" I ask hoping for her to say yes.

“This. On the day they were kidnapped someone gave this to me but I didn't think much of it. They are taking the kids to this carnival. We have to go there.” She grabs my hand, staring into my eyes with panic in her eyes.

The problem is, the carnival is at the other side of the country and it's in four days.

“Damien. I've been looking for you all over. Where did you go." Isabelle says coming out of the pack house, she pushes Ariana away lodging herself between us.

I see the hurt flash in Ariana's eyes and she turns away heading inside.

I'm about to stop her and explain to Ariana that there's nothing going on between Isabelle but Isabelle keeps talking and stopping me.

Why am I trying to explain to her? There's also nothing going on between us. She's just my baby mama and nothing else. She's not my mate anymore.

I push Isabelle's hands away from me, glaring down at her.

“What are you doing?" I ask her, feeling irritated.

I was pissed already this morning and she had to come and pull this stunt.

"Damien, when are we getting mated? You've been pushing it for sometime and I think it's time it happened. The people say they want a Luna.” She tries to act coquettishly, blinking her eyes in an unattractive manner at me.

I really should speak to my father about this. Isabelle can't be Luna and she doesn't seem like the type to take care of other people's children.

I was about walking inside when I see Ariana running to us with her phone in her hands, panic clearly written on her face.

“What's wrong?” I ask when she stops before me, handing her phone over to me.

"They are calling.” She said, panting.

"Who is?" I ask even though I knew who she was talking about.

“The kidnappers."
