Alpha's Temporary Luna Chapter 26

"What in the world?"

Sophie was confused and didn't know what to do when there were two beds placed in her room and, in a split second, Axel was inside the room.

Sophie just rolled her eyes. Her heart still hurt for the man next to her because she found out about the pixies. She became very irritable and said, "When will our contract end?"

"I want to go home."

Axel was taken aback. He knew Sophie would get mad but not this badly, so he was perplexed by how she acted.

Sophie, on the other hand, really doesn't want to leave because this is the safest method to protect her family, but she can't stand to side with someone who sees the pixies as cruel.

Something inside her was fighting her conscience, especially since she didn't really know what happened and she had no choice but to not talk to the pixies because she wouldn't take any chances of them turning her into something.

Sophie calmed down and decided to slow her pace and said, "I'm sorry.. I-i was just."

Axel just smiled at her and said, "It's alright. I understand."

Sophie looked at him suspiciously because this was the hundredth time that he understood everything she said.

"Are you still here when our contract expires?" Sophie nodded, and Axel scratched his head and said, "C-can you stay here? Until R-rebecca's queen status expires...."

[...]

Axel couldn't look Sophie in the eyes as he was embarrassed. Sophie just looked at him.

She wanted to know this for a long time, but she held herself, but since he invaded her privacy, that's all she'll do.

Sophie hugged herself and said, "What happened to you two?"

Axel just looked at her and said, "I can't tell you because I myself didn't know what happened, but thank you for saving me that day.. at the---ball."

They both went silent, but Sophie just looked at him and said, "Oh well, your actions told me otherwise."

Axel just looked at her, and you felt the atmosphere and awkwardness so much that they both couldn't explain it.

"So the bed was for?"

Sophie asked him again because she didn't know if it was right to stay in one room, but she was just waiting for some answers.

"It's for me, because you're in grave danger."

Sophie was taken aback and said, "Is it because of the pixies?"

Axel just looked at her and said, "I know her. She won't stop until she gets to you."

She just looked at him. Axel decided to lie on the other bed, and Sophie couldn't stop him. Her eyes landed on his enlarging bulge and she decided to look the other way.

Axel just got up and said, "Is there something you want to know?"

Sophie turned to him and thought in front of him. She didn't know what else she wanted to know because being this close to him made her forget what she was thinking.

"So what are you like? Being a leader?"

Axel was stunned because she's the first one who doesn't know how Axel guides his people.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, and how did you become the Alpha?"

Axel just looked at her in disbelief, and that's when he realized that this lady was so busy with her life that she didn't even care about her surroundings.

Axel began to tell the story of everything he went through and what he was like, but nothing in the story about how they both met when they were little children, but Sophie has let go, especially if she just made a mistake.

Sophie sat on the other bed and asked random questions, as if they were getting to know each other.

The night went by as they were filling themselves with their own knowledge and new knowledge of the person in front of them.

"Are you sure you didn't meet me when you were a child?" Axel asked.

But before she could even respond, the last thing she knew was that the darkness had stolen her vision and she dozed off to sleep with a smile on her face.

---

"Let me through."

Rebecca commanded, and the ladies in waiting were unsure if Rebecca would be allowed inside Sophie's room.

Flora stepped forward and said, "Master Axel said that you can't enter this room without this command."

"I'm so sorry, Ms. Rebecca."

Rebecca was taken aback because she still had one month as a queen for them to serve her before leaving the border, but why were they acting this way in front of her?

Rebbeca felt left out, as if those serving in front of her no longer served her as before.

"Step aside or you'll all die."

Flora stood on her ground, but one of her companions pulled her because she knew she shouldn't interfere in other people's goals.

Flora looked at Rebecca sharply because she had fallen in love with Sophie as a friend and couldn't help but worry.

Rebecca opened the door with a grin on her face, but before she could enter completely, she stopped, and a knife dropped from her hand, alarming Flora.

Then Flora shouted, "CALL THE GUARDS!!!!"

Rebecca didn't hear that as she was so focused on looking at Sophie and Axel on a different bed, but they were holding hands, and Axel's hand was holding Sophie's hand a lot tighter.

Rebecca couldn't take the scene and was ready to barge in, but before she could step, Hugo was already in front of her and said, "Step aside."

Rebecca's eyes were trembling with tears as her heart continued to pound. Hugo didn't flinch.

The guards were already behind her, and Hugo said, in his cold tone, "You created high treason for this."

Rebecca held onto Hugo and said, "W-why are they like this?"

"Didn't they know that they couldn't stay in the same room?"

"They have no respect for me at all?"

Rebecca was trembling with anger, but Hugo did not feel any sympathy for her and said, "You should earn their respect."

"Aren't you the first to disrespect them?"

"You even invade their privacy."

"How dare you talk about respect when you haven't done a thing to earn it?"

There was horror in Hugo's voice. Rebecca's tongue was held back and she was dragged by the guards to be locked in the dungeon.

Before Hugo couldn't close the door, he saw how peaceful Axel's face was. Even with what was going on, he didn't wake up.

A faint smile flashed on Hugo's face.

Invading privacy was one of the things Hugo hated the most, but when Sophie was the one who invaded his room, her left scent never left his room, which made Hugo come to a conclusion, and it was the forbidden conclusion.

Because he knew, Axel was already attached to her just like Hugo was.
