I woke up when sunlight fell on my face and woke me up. The curtains were wide open, letting the light fall on my face making it glisten, I blinked and sat up.
Oh Lord, This is reality.
I ran my hand in my hair and pushed them back. I let out a deep breath and turned to look at Candice who was sleeping, curling like a baby.
She is here. With me.
A smile came to my lips as I remembered what happened and finally after so much struggle, she is mine. I moved to her hand and stared at her beautiful face.
“You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.” I slowly brought my hand close to her face but stopped it midway. The gentle smile came to my lips when I saw her receiving such an immense lull.
I looked at her in admiration. My heart is at serene to know that it’s the end; the end of my painful journey.
“And now mine.”
I slowly brushed my fingers on the side of her face and moved it down. Implanting a great euphoria of touching her.
My heart skipped a beat when my fingers made contact with her delicate skin. How the emotion of being perfect filled me. My soul felt heavenly.
‘She is mine and nothing in this universe can take her away from me.’
She is retained to be mine. I stopped my fingers below her lips, wanting to touch her plum lips but with so much protestation, I refrained myself.
“Good to see you where you belong, My love.” I murmured. I want to complete the entitlement of having her as mine but I took a deep breath and shook my head.
My hand moved down to her hands as I lifted her one hand and kissed her knuckles slightly, “Morning..” I whispered to her and moved away.
I got out and got ready for work. I think I should let her sleep, she must be tired because of such drama in her life.
I could have ended things using the easy way but I found this one amusing.
Maybe Christian was right; I am a devil. I chuckled at the thought and left for work.
After doing some work, I get some things for Candice, clothes and all necessity stuff.
I went home, Josh; the butler of my house was surprised to see me since I didn't come home that much because before I didn’t have a reason but now I do.
“Where’s Candice?” I asked.
“She is in her room,” he said. I nodded and went to our room.
“Candice.” I entered and called her. She is still sleeping. It’s 12 and she is still sleeping, not that I am complaining.
She slowly opened her eyes and sat up. She yawned and blinked a few times, trying to regain her senses. I closed the door behind me and looked at her in amusement.
My shirt was hanging again, I averted my gaze and said, “Set your shirt.” She finally came to her senses and made an ‘o’ face as she set her shirt.
“What time is it?” She asked.
“12.” I replied, looking at her again.
“What?! 12?! Why didn’t you wake me up before, Tyler?” She panicked.
“I haven't slept that much before. What will you be thinking? How lazy I must be but it’s not true. You should-” She rambled on nervously. I was enlivened but also bewildered by her demeanor. She was so worried.
“Calm down, Candice, It’s okay. No need to panic.” I said walking to her.
“You had such a hectic day. It’s okay.” She lowered her head and didn’t say anything. I told the people to put the stuff inside.
“What’s this?” She asked.
“Your stuff, see what you want. Keep what you want and donate the rest, okay?” I told her, sitting beside her.
She seemed slightly startled, I didn’t understand what happened to her. She kept looking down, holding the duvets between her fingers tightly.
“You don’t have to do this. I.. I can get my stuff from home.” She reasoned.
“But, I want to fulfill my obligations as well and I will provide you with the best.” I whispered, smiling tenderly at her.
“You okay, Candice?” I asked, softly. She looked at me with a glint of fear and whispered, “Yeah..”
I smiled and put my hand over hers but she pulled her hand back and gave me an apologetic look. “Sorry.”
Even though it hurt me that she pulled her hand away, I didn’t show it.
“It’s okay.”
“You were at work?” She asked, trying to change the silence of disappointment.
“Yes. I will leave after lunch.”
“Shall I cook for you?” She asked, looking expectantly at me.
“I would love to cook your food, Tyler. You won’t mind?” She asked timidly.
When she asked me this sweetly, how can I say no to her?
“This is your house as well. Do whatever you want.” I smiled. She smiled widely and nodded.
“Thanks.” She whispered. I stood up and was about to put my hand over her head but stopped and pulled my head away.
I was about to pull my hand away but she held my hand and with support of it, she stood up and passed me a smile.
“I will freshen up.” She said, removing her hand from mine and looking for something to wear and left.
I stood there, watching my angel looking so flushed and exquisite.
I cannot explain my exhilaration to have her in my life, it’s almost like a dream.
‘I still cannot believe that she is mine and I am hers.’
She has my name attached to hers; if she wants but still the fact remains she belongs to me. I hope I could ignite the flares of my love in her heart.
She then cooked lunch for me. I loved the taste of food she cooked for me. I loved the fact she cooked for me.
“How’s it?” She asked.
I smiled and replied, “Delicious.”
She grinned when she heard it. I loved looking at her like this. We remained like this and then she called me as her smile faded,
“Tyler..” I hummed and she continued.
“I know it must be difficult for you to accept me.. just like I cannot do it but I will try to live up to your standards and not disgrace you. I will devote myself to this bond, I hope I can maintain your standards.” I listened to her words carefully.
That’s her insecurity, our status but she has to understand that we are one now and there should be no insecurity about each other should be presence between each other.
