Betide to Love You Chapter 14

“Candice. What name does the world use to call me?” I asked her direly. She looked at me again frightfully.

‘About what? Why is she looking like this? Was this because of my dire tone or something else?’

“King of Shipments.” She replied faintly.

“And who are you to me?” I asked.

“Your wife.”

“Wrong. You are my Queen and no one should dare to question you. Where do you come from, what is your status, anything. No one dares to question ‘my’ Queen. When I am happy to have you as my wife and have no questions for you then no one else as well. Keep it in your mind.” I explained to her.

“Yes. I understand.” She said, softly, lowering her head.

“Look at me when we talk.” I said seriously. She quickly shot her head and again looked terrified.

“Why are you scared?” I asked.

“No.. I am not. Why do I think like that?” She said, laughing off. I gave her a questioning look but decided not to ask.

“Wait- You said you are happy to have me as your wife.. Really?” She asked, shocked. Noticed too quickly.

“Yeah, so?” I said casually, eating my food.

“Why? I don’t have looks or anything, not even personality.”

“What happened, Candice? You weren’t like this. We were friends and you are very beautiful and I absolutely loved the way you are.”

“But, Tyler, I am not like this. I get scared easily, I feel intimidated easily- even if I don’t show it but still.” She mumbled.

“It’s okay. Give yourself some time. No need to force things upon yourself.” I reassured her. She nodded slowly.

“I will try..” She said,

She never fails to leave me fascinated about her. How her behavior changes, how she puts up a strong front but from inside a shy and timid girl and now we are married.

She cannot hide what she actually feels from me and I truly want to see what emotions she has hidden inside her for me.

At night, I went home, tired from work. I couldn’t believe that I went to work on the very first day of my marriage, maybe because I wanted to give both Candice and me some time.

I entered my room and pushed the door opened only to see Candice trying to untie the laces of her dress.

“T-Tyler.” She flushed when she looked at me. She quickly turned to me as a blush rose to her cheeks.

“W-Welcome home.” She stuttered. I didn’t say anything and walked close to her. She was about to take a step back but I held her arm and pulled her to me.

She was blushing and not meeting my gaze.

I stared intensely at her and turned her around, her breath hitched when I did that. I could hear the sound of her loud heartbeat, I don’t know what I am doing to her but she is afraid of it.

What is happening to her is beyond my comprehension but I am intrigued to know.

“Thanks.” I said in a low charming voice, I held the laces of her dress and slowly untied them.

“What do you do to me?” I looked at her face, looking at her abashed face. A shiver went down my spine when I accidentally touched her back. She also shivered when my hand made contact with her skin.

“I could ask you the same.” Her face was crimson, she was looking down and I was looking at her reflexes feeling strangely good. My grip on her laces tightened as I pulled her back.

“Is that so?” she gasped when my chest made contact with her back. She swallowed the lump in my throat, not speaking anything but I can clearly see the distress glimmering in her eyes.

“Because you drowned me in your eyes.” I moved to her neck, my eyes not leaving her face. I finally untied and let go of the lace, the dress was about to fall but we both put our hands over it to not let it fall.

“And I don’t regret a single second I spent in your shade.” She let out a soft voice and lifted her gaze and met mine.

“In fact, I love it.”

“Tyler..” She whispered my name. There wasn't any dismay in her tone, it was something else which I cannot encrypt yet. I scanned her flushed form from top to bottom.

“And by every passing second, I desire more of it.” My heart began to beat fast, a strong urge to pull her close aroused in me but with great difficulty.

“More of you.” I held it inside me. I could feel her quivers when I moved and touched her neck. I pressed my lips on her neck.

“How can you talk in such an intoxicating way?” She asked shyly. She lowered her head slowly and moved her hair to the other side and tilted her head in the opposite direction letting me have all the access to her neck.

“You made me.” My gaze traveled down as I closed my eyes. My heart is racing against my chest, a spark of love and needs to travel in me.

My desires are taking control of me and I want to release them, after holding them for so long, I want to burst them out.

My heart skipped a beat when I planted a kiss over her neck. A short yet delicate kiss. The sparks of love turned into a fiery fire when I kissed her neck.

“You have no idea what hex you hold.” A sweet elation rushed in my vein, a memorable ecstasy engraved in my mind as I could feel my heartbeat intertwined with her and moving in such a rhythm of connected emotions as if we haven known each other for years.

The kiss was brief and simple but it held some kind of flicker in it. An unforgettable twinkle and I want to indulge deeper in those pools of innocence made for me.

She is pure, I made her.

Away from the abhorrence of this world. I pulled away slowly and took a step back. She opened her eyes and turned to me.

We both looked at each other and after a silence, I began to say.

“I.. didn’t mean to.” I trailed off.

“It’s okay… you can do it.” She passed me a faint smile and continued, “I mean you have rights.”

“And your consent?” I asked. Her smile turned into a sad one, she didn’t look at me and left with those fluttering sensations that are getting stronger even more than before.
