Blue's POV contd
" But why are you on Earth?" She asked .
" Should I be on Mars?" I retorted.
I jumped on my bed and took off my shoes..
" That wasn't what I meant ... What I mean is why are you on land?" She asked and come to think of it: why exactly am I on land?.
" I don't.... I don't know" I replied slowly and breathed out.
"So how did you get your necklace?" She asked .
" Wait! Why are you so interested in me?" I asked fiercely.
"The power of that necklace can bring me back to reality... So I need your help" she said .
"There's a reason Alondra cursed you ... I can't just reverse the curse.. I need permission" I said and I heard her scoff.
" I have begged Alondra but jealousy and her egoistic attitude won't let her see that I'm a changed person" she said .
"Ok then I'll help you but first you said you know what's wrong with Zara?" I asked and she laughed.
" Your dear Zara is under a speech curse" she said and my eyes widened.
Speech curse???
" What's that?" I asked .
" Well .. it depends on the curse and to break it you have to know what the curse is all about" She elucidated.
"What?.. how will I do that?" I asked confused.
" I see Ally hasn't taught you anything yet.. So how old are you?.. 20?" she asked .
"20?... I'm 17" I said.
" Huh!.. I'm older but I look younger than you" she said boastfully and I rolled my eyes.
"But who could curse Zara?" I asked .
" Well we both know that there's one person that can do that and it's that other girl that follows you around" she replied.
"Pearl?... No she can't do it" I said.
Pearl is so nice... She can't even hurt a fly. I know they have their differences but Pearl can't curse Zara.
"Pearl or not... I don't care so are you gonna help me?" She asked rashly.
" Alondra cursed you so I have no right to break the curse" I replied.
"Well as you wish then but when you need me .. Emm how do humans say it again..Emm yes.* I'm only one call away*" she said and laughed till she was never heard from again.
Nah... I'm not sure Zara's cursed..
" That Kuda is definitely out of her mind" I thought loudly.
" I heard that!" She said and I snapped out of my thoughts.
" Would you pls leave my room?" I requested.
" Fine but the bed is so soft" she winced like a child.
" Get out!!" I shouted .
" Chill... I'm off" She Said.
I hope she's gone now... But how will I help Zara?..
Then someone stormed into my room almost giving me a heart attack...
" Ahh!" I screamed and fell to the floor.
" Blue!.. Who were you shouting at?" Chelsea asked.
" No one," I said as I stood up.
" Weren't you taught how to knock before entering someone's room?" I remarked and she scoffed.
" You're my sister .. I can even see you naked if I want to" she justified.
"Yes but I'm not a child anymore" I replied.
"That is not the case.. was someone here?" She asked as she walked fully into my room and checked everywhere, even the bathroom.
" Like I said before.. no one's here..I was talking to someone on the phone" I said and held her.
I dragged her out of the room and shut the door.
" Blue.. you might have gotten away with it this time but next time believe me you won't" she said from the other side.
I breathed out a sigh of relief and took off my school uniform slowly.
" Wow... Is that your sister?" A voice asked and I screamed.
I took a towel quickly and covered my body.
" I thought you were gone," I said .
" But the bed is so soft" she winced.
" Get – out!" I said picking the words one by one...
"Or else I'm gonna make a command" I threatened.
" Ok slow your roll... I'm leaving" she said.
" And how do I know for sure?" I asked.
" Don't ask me... You're the one with the necklace" she said and laughed. I rolled my eyes.
" Are you gone now?" I asked but no reply.. well I guess she's gone.
# Next Morning #
Zara's POV
Oh God... What's wrong with me?...
I'm not able to say anything anymore.
" Hey girl" Pearl called as I sat in the cafeteria in the morning thinking.
" I said hi" she said again and came to join me on the seat.
" What happened?.... Did a cat cut your tongue??" She asked and I cried silently.
"Blue told me everything..." She said and made pitiful noises with her tongue.
" Oh Zara... Your happiness is always short lived" she said and I blinked as more tears came down.
"One afternoon an angel wished that your voice would be gone and it actually happened.. I'm so happy" she said.
I know that Pearl had something to do with this but how did she do it?
Did she put something in my food or what?.
" I cursed Zara ... You don't know how much I hate you and those dumb siblings of Blue... Anytime I look at all of you I just feel like hurting you till you die but then I thought... You must have a slow and painful death" Pearl said and my eyes widened.
" What have we done to you?" I tried asking but I couldn't.
" The pains you've caused me ever since I was a child ... You'll have to pay back in any possible way... I'll promise to make your life a living hell and as for Blue don't worry... She's safe with me" she said and with that she stood up.
Then she stopped and turned after taking some steps forward.
"Don't even think of telling Blue anything or writing it down because she won't believe you... And also save the tears for something more important.. and I'm warning you don't try the vengeance inside of me or else" she threatened but covered it up with a smile .
Just then Blue walked in on us and ran to me.
" Zara!.. What happened, why are you crying?" She asked as she wanted to cry too.
" I also don't know ... She just started crying all of a sudden " Pearl said with a sobber face.
She's such a good actor... And also a big witch.
" I promise you Zara.. I'll find a solution to your problem okay?" Blue said and hugged me
" Zara, don't cry ... Blue will find the solution to your problem" pearl said and winked at me.
With a silent bye she left the cafeteria probably heading to class.
Blue's POV
What is happening to Zara?
I hugged her but she pushed me away slightly.
" Ahhhh... Ahh" she said but I couldn't understand.
She kept on pointing in the other direction but there was no one there...
" This isn't normal Zara and I'll find a way around this mess for you" I said and wiped her tears.
I ran out of the cafeteria and straight to the restroom..
Then I remembered what Alondra said... * If you want to make a spell then every line must rhyme*.
Then I thought of some rhymes that would actually tell if Zara is cursed or sick.
Then something came up... This is my first spell and I hope it works for me.
I wet my hand and touched my necklace...
"Action speaks louder than words ;
And I want things in a different form;
Oh God I'm terrible at this.... Little beads of tears rolled down my cheeks.
" Don't worry I'll help" a voice said from behind.
Kuda??
" It seems you're everywhere" I said and wiped my tears.
"I know it's hard and I'll help but on one condition" she said.
" What condition?" I asked.
" I know you'll take anything now but what transpired between you two?" She asked.
" Is that the condition?" I asked.
" No but pls tell me ...I love gossip," she said excitedly.
" You're a very strange ghost" I said.
" Well I lied to her and now we're on a break because she found out the truth" I said.
" You shouldn't have lied but we can't change the past, we can only rectify it so it won't disturb the future" she said and I nodded.
" So what's the condition?" I asked.
" Well .. release me from this curse and I'll help you" she said.
Should I really do this?.... Zara is in need of it so I'll have to ... Even if we are not together like before I still love her and she's still my best friend...no one can take her place.
"Ok... But you'll have to help me with Zara first" I said and she laughed.
" No problem." she said and laughed .
" We need that book of spells so you'll have to get it" she said and I gasped.
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah! If you want to save Zara . That's the only way. ``she said.
