CHAPTER 26
MONTANA'S POV
Everything happened so fast and I felt myself being pulled up harshly, "What the fuck did you do?", was what Alpha Lincoln asked me.
To be sincerely, that was not what I thought would be the first thing to come out of his mouth but I suppose he had every right to say that.
And so I explained myself and felt his hand tighten painfully on my arms, "And so you accepted the challenge? Are you stupid or what?", he shouted at me in front of everyone and my eyes started watering.
I tried talking but nothing came out, I looked at him, I felt so much pain, "I am sorry", was the only thing I could say.
"The rest of you get out, GET LOST, GET OUT OF MY FUCKING SIGHT", He shouted as he turned to the rest of the pack members present. He was so angry, I got so scared at how angry he was.
It did not even take up to a second and everyone had disappeared, "You, come with me", he pulled me harshly.
Even Sean tried to reason with him, "Lincoln please calm down, take it easy", but Lincoln shot him a cold look and said,
"Not now Sean, not now", and dragged me into the house.
Good thing my kids were not in sight but Victoria and Lincoln's Parents were present when I was being dragged and quickly rushed to my aid.
"Lincoln what happened?? Let her go", his father said.
"Lincoln calm down, she is a woman for God's sake, whatever she did can be resolved with you blowing up this way", His mother added.
"Lincoln please", Victoria said.
When Lincoln turned to them, his eyes were very dark and his voice boomed throughout the mansion, "PLEASE STAY OUT OF THIS. THIS IS BETWEEN I AND MONTANA", he said, "I do not want to get more upset, this is final", after that he pulled me with him to my room.
Opened it up and threw me in before slamming the door, "A warrior asked you to fight with her and you accepted?", he did not even let me breathe as he started yelling.
"MONTANA A WARRIOR, WARRIOR, NOT EVEN A NORMAL PACK MEMBER BUT ONE OF MY FUCKING WARRIORS ASKED YOU TO FIGHT WITH HER AND YOU ACCEPTED??!????!!! ARE YOU FREAKING STUPID OR YOU JUST LOVE TO BE DISGRACED???!."
I was already shaking.
"ANSWER ME! SPEAK!", his Alpha voice was coming out as he commanded that of me.
"I-i-i-", I tried to speak.
"You what Montana? I want to hear the stupid reason why you accepted that challenge. What do you think you will prove or you could prove??", he asked me but I did not get a chance to talk as he went on.
"I have seen you, you are weak Montana, and you know you can't, then don't. Do you think you could have pulled it off?? Did you do that to maybe prove yourself to the pack or me??? YOU SHOULD HAVE FUCKING REJECTED IT, NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOU OR WHAT YOU WANT TO PROVE....but you went there fought, got beaten up like a baby, and submitted???? MY LUNA SUBMIT? What do you think everyone in the pack will think?", he came close grabbed my shoulders, and shook me before letting me go.
"You said earlier that you did not want to disgrace me but what did you do?? You did disgrace me in different ways. Sometimes use your fucking brain, Montana, you have a brain for a reason. WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU TO THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!!", He scolded me and I was already having a panic attack but I was sure he did not notice as he was blinded by anger.
He finally stopped, the screaming finally stopped and I could hear his hard breathing as he walked back and forth in my room, "This is all pointless and worthless" After he said that he just left and slammed the door.
I can't breathe, I whispered to myself as I rushed and locked the door, "I can't breathe."
I walked backward and fell to the ground. Beads of sweat started forming on my forehead and everywhere started feeling suffocating.
Different thoughts raced through my mind, regret, pain, I was in so much pain, how worthless and stupid I was, how I deserved nothing but the pain I was getting. My body ached badly from being beaten up. But inside and out of me felt torn apart. The weight of everything was pressed on my chest, making each breath I took a struggle, if felt like even the air was not happy with me.
As if that was not enough, my hands trembled and a lump formed in my throat, making it hard for me to swallow. I was trying to breathe.
As the dam of emotions burst, tears welled up in my eyes and the room and everything around me became blurry. The tears fell in sync as I fell too.
"I- o-oh", I could not even make sense. I was all alone.
I started gasping for air.
I hugged my knees and finally let everything out, I could hear knocks, someone telling me to open the door but I could not move. I cried openly, sobs and snuggles, punctuated by choked breaths.
My cries echoed not just in my room but through the very core of my being, the pain was just too much, my eyes were tired, my head and body ached, and my heart even ached more. I was all alone.
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
I was so angry, how could she accept a thing like that? Her saying no would even be much better than what just went down. Yes, it would also be embarrassing for her or whatever but it would be better. GODDESS!
I just walked into the room of some of my warriors, where they trained and immediately I walked in, everyone stopped what they were doing, I was certain that they could feel how angry I was and any stupid attempt to piss me off...
I would send any of them straight to hell. Maybe I have been too soft.
I asked calmly but my tone was very very filled with anger, "You know why I am here. STEP. OUT!."
