CHAPTER 32
MONTANA'S POV
On hearing that, I got alert and went closer to them, "Are you sure?", I asked Alpha Lincoln and he shot me a glare.
"Of course I am sure, She is my sister", he said.
Right!
"Open the package then", I said quickly and worriedly.
But the next look he gave me was for me to shut my mouth, which I did and gulped.
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
Calm, I reminded myself, calm down, "There is a letter, I will read it out loud", I said to both Sean and Montana.
Even the letter had Victoria's blood on it as a design and growled inwardly while opening the letter, "So this is what it says...
Dear Alpha Lucien,
I do not regret informing you that your sister, Victoria is in danger, extreme danger and I do not care whatever becomes of her.
Seeing as I have taken her captive, this is my own special way of settling an ancient score. What I need is clear, the demands are clear and what you also need to do is clear and not hard to be understood.
What I need from you Dear Alpha is the retrieval of the missing half of the Soulbound locket in exchange for your sister's safety. I am sure you know what it is.
Enclosed is a map that will direct you to a place called the Eclipsed Sanctuary. Now this is where the artifact is hidden. This is where I know that you may not know but I can not be too sure about that, so either way you have a piece of knowledge if you knew this before and a map. The Sanctuary is a tricky one, go prepared and I only care that you come out alive cause you are the one who can get me this artifact.
And you are the only one who can get your hand on it as you have the blood of the Vincintore lineage and you are the rightful heir and Alpha. So you can access the map I have provided.
You have a week unless your sister's lifeless body will be delivered to you and I will go for plan B.
Your time is ticking Alpha, Make me Proud!."
Arghhhhhh I snarled and squeezed the letter tightly, "Any trace of Victoria?", I asked Sean immediately.
"None but Lincoln I think there is something else inside the envelope", Sean said and I quickly went for it, bringing out some kind of phone. It looked old and new at the same time.
"Well what is it for?", Montana asked and I could hear how hard her heart was beating in fear.
"We are about to find out are we not?", I asked and put on the phone, everyone looking.
The first thing that popped up was a link, saying, "Click here Alpha", I cracked my neck and clicked on the lick.
A video popped up and I played it. It was a Video of Victoria tied up and her arm was bleeding. I guess that was where they got her blood from.
And that was it.
Another message came up and it read, "This phone will self-destruct in five minutes."
Montana quickly grabbed her ice cream plate still with some ice cream in it. She grabbed the phone from my hands and then put the phone inside the plate and covered it.
There was a small sound and smoke started coming out from the plate, "I would have to give it to them, well played", I sighed running my face.
"Lincoln, what do we do?", Sean asked and I opened the map.
"What we have to do", was my response to his question. We will find that artifact to save my sister.
I know about the Soulbound locket, I knew it existed and was something precious in my family from my ancestors but I did not know much information about it or what it can do.
But today, I will have to find out.
This was the time when a family meeting was held but we kept Montana's kids occupied while, my parents, Montana and Sean took a sit in the sitting room.
I gave the news to my parents who were instantly worried and agitated.
"So now, I need to know more about that Soulbound Locket father, it is the only way to get Victoria back home safely."
My father got up and excused himself, telling us that he would be right back when he came back, he had a book in his hand, a small book, and he handed it over to him, "This is everything about the Locket that I have so far, there you will understand how dangerous it can be if the two parts are joined together and used and many more things will be explained."
I nodded, "Thank you, and do not worry Father, I will do everything to get Victoria back home, safe and alive."
My Father nodded, "I trust you will, now go, do your research and bring your sister back home."
As I and Sean stood up to leave, Montana also said, "I am coming too."
"No you are not", I immediately said, "You will stay here and we will handle this. I will bring her back, so stay here and handle things here, my parents will also be of help as we will likely be occupied with how everything works and how to save Victoria. I do not want to have to worry about you also."
MONTANA'S POV
He sure did have a point. I was weak and going with them might just slow them down.
"Yes, Alpha, I understand. May the Moon Goddess be with you all and guide you", I said softly.
Alpha Lincoln nodded and hummed, "Hm!."
And so they left. I was really worried and hoped everything would go well.
"It is okay Montana", Olivia, Lincoln's mother parted my back, "Keep our fingers crossed for them, she will return."
I nodded, "If there is anything I can do to help I will gladly do it."
"I know but it is best he handles it and what he said is right too, so all he needs is your support and I am sure you can do that", Olivia said.
"Of course I can, anything to help."
