CHAPTER 35
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
Malachar also placed offerings of rare gemstones on the altar. He chose this because he would need their resonance with cosmic energies.
Malachar sought to invoke those during the ritual.
While doing all these he was excited inside and still serious-minded. He poured liquid offerings into a scared chalice, a water that was infused with so many things.
He had made this earlier just for this purpose.
Finally, he was done with his whole preparation, altar preparations to be exact and now he engaged in a chanting, reciting ancient words that called upon the names of entities and spirits he was inviting.
What he was chanting, the vibrations from those chants were believed to resonate with the frequencies of the unseen, which would then establish a connection for the upcoming elixir infusion. This was the first time he was doing something like this and he could only hope for the best.
He was determined to make it work! Whatever it took.
As Malachar was chanting, he entered a meditative state, making his intentions clear with the energies of the ritual space. He visualized his desires for what he was doing and what he wanted, focusing on the energy of the offerings towards a singular purpose. His purpose!
Malachar finally concluded the ritual by extinguishing the candles in a reverse sequence and also thanked the entities for their presence which he felt and the exchange of energies. The whole space had now returned to normal. Now he was done.
His ritual was completed, successfully.
Malachar got up and went to where everything for the preparation was waiting and following the steps of the ancient recipe, he combined the ingredients, infusing them with what the spirits and energies from the ritual had given to him.
Most of what he did, other things he did for this process involved intricate sequences of heating, cooling, and precise timing just to unlock the elixir's full potential.
As the elixir neared its completion, once again, he entered a deep meditative state, focusing on what he wanted, using the energies he had gotten. It made way for profound foresight.
Finally, with the elixir complete, Malachar consumed it ceremonially. The elixir's effects on Malachi took hold swiftly, inducing a visionary trance that transcended the boundaries of time and space.
This would grant him insight into what he wanted. Something related to the creation of the Soulbound Locket and a path.
Convinced of the Soulbound Locket's potential, he became consumed by the idea of forging this artifact. He has done his research and no one has ever tried to make this artifact. It was said it was better to leave it dead.
But not anymore, because Malachar was going to bring it to life.
For him to be able to fulfill this, it was not going to be easier, he would face lots of things only to get this done and Malachar was willing to take this risk. It was either this or death.
He was required to master the elemental alchemy, the one which consisted of earth, water, fire, and air into the Soulbound Locket and he needed to master those first. He faced a lot of things, lots of dangerous places he had to enter, and luckily made it out alive, cryptic riddles to gain knowledge that was necessary for his arcane creation.
To infuse the locket with unparalleled power, Malachar had to forge a pact with ancient entities, promising them dominion over realms yet untouched by mortal hands and he was happy, desperate, and willing to forger that pack.
It may be seen or called as making a deal with the devil's.
"Let's see how that turns out then", Sean said and I gave a short laugh, like somewhat of a scoff and a laugh at the same time, before continuing.
These bargains had allowed him to channel primordial forces into the creation of the artifact and not without consequences that might echo through the ages but he did not care about that.
The whole process was a crazy one and he was going to do it anyway.
Time to gather his materials, he needed to find a rare silver and some gemstones that were attuned to earth, water, fire, air, and some other things that he would need.
Malachar outlined the Locket's design through astral blueprinting. It would manifest as a holographic protection that would guide him in the precise arrangement of the elements.
Before commencing with the forging, Malachar performed an alignment ritual, which invoked the energies of planets and stars, this alignment was crucial to infuse the locket with some forces, like cosmic forces of some sort, which could also enhance its mystical properties.
Each of the gemstones he had represented an element that was infused with its respective elemental essence. Through complex rituals, he was able to channel the elemental forces into the gemstones, imbuing them with the raw power of earth, water, fire, and air. Mastering those was hard but in the end and with all his hard work, he succeeded in mastering them
Malachar went on and carefully melted and alloyed the ethereal silver, a rare substance. When the silver was melted, Malachar shaped the molten silver with hammers and chisels and molded it into intricate patterns and forms that were very enchanting.
The gemstones which were now pulsating with elemental energies, were meticulously embedded into the molten silver. Malachar had arranged them in a precise configuration, creating a harmonious balance that mirrored the interconnectedness of the four elements
"He is actually going through with it", Sean politely interrupted me.
"Well sometimes it is the people we love that turn us into monsters", I said to Sean and continued. This history was going to be a long one but was quite catchy.
Now for the ancient runes of power, Malachar...
"But why is all this even written?", Sean asked again.
"It is history and good for information, of course.. sometimes the questions you ask", I shook my head as Sean laughed softly and let me continue.
As I was saying, As for the ancient runes, Malachar inscribed protective enchantments and some symbols onto the surface of the locker. Each rune served a dual purpose, which contributed to the Locket's ornate design while enhancing its magical properties.
Now Malachar had one final ritual remaining and he was done but he could not complete it that night as he had to head back home for some reason.
