Bound By Agreement: The Alpha's Contract Wife And Twins Chapter 33

CHAPTER 34

ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV

I wondered who could have written this book if Malachar had no friends. Did he write it himself or did he finally find someone?

Although I shifted that thought away, that was not the important thing right now. The important thing is what I am learning from this book and how it can help me get my sister back, cause I will need all the knowledge I can get, seeing as I do not know much about this Locket.

I confirmed that Sean was following and cleared my throat to continue.

Since he could not kill himself, Malachar decided to save himself instead and so he delved into ancient tomes and scrolls, desperately. He looked through forbidden corners of magical knowledge and it made him get the idea that all these were forbidden because they were extra powerful and feared by everyone, which was exactly what he wanted.

His little quest to save himself led him to uncover so many secrets that spoke of an artifact capable of tethering whoever or whatever supernatural entities, which was exactly the kind of power he needed, the kind he wanted.

It would give him unmatched dominion and power. Malachar immediately fell in love with the idea. And the next thing he did was get induced by a potent elixir.

He soured ancient texts and grimoires for the information he needed and finally stumbled upon the cryptic recipe he needed for his elixir. The recipe was well detailed the creation of an elixir that grants visions.

Determined to get all this done, he told no one and went on a little journey to gather the rare ingredients. Of course, no one cared about him or where he went too so he was not worried about all those things but more focused on his mission.

And finally, he had gotten them, Wolfsbane, Belladonna, Mandrake Root, and Vervain. These were the four ingredients that he needed. They all held properties that were essential for inducing visions and some glimpses into the ethereal.

Malachar had gone on to create his secluded alchemical laboratory, hidden from any eyes and safe. He prepared a space for the concoction. With his magic, he had created ancient symbols that adorned the walls, which would form a protective barrier against any external influences when he started making his elixir.

He may have magical powers but still, it was not enough for his family because even with that, he was tagged as the weakest. Just because there were others more powerful and he always fell behind.

It was not his fault though, he tried his best but the support he was not getting, the insults, and the bad way he was being treated were enough for him to lose motivation to be better for them.

Now he was going to be better for himself. He found a good timing, one in which alignment was believed to amplify the connection between the metaphysical and physical realms. Also in facilitating profound visions.

Next, he got ready for his ritualistic offerings.

Before I could continue there was a knock, "Come in", I said, hating the fact that I was interested. What I was reading was interesting and I now wanted to know what had happened in the end. What had happened to this Malachar of a sorcerer, everything?

Montana stepped in with a bag, "Good afternoon Alpha and Beta", she said and stepped closer, she dropped the bag on my desk.

"Umm I thought you guys would be hungry since you are working so much without any break so I prepared these myself, there is juice, water, anyone you like, and enough food", she said softly.

For the first time, I gave her a small smile, "Thank you Montana, that is very nice of you", I complemented her and she smiled back immediately and nodded.

"Thank you, Luna, I will enjoy your food", Sean said grateful, already starting to open the back and bring out the things in it.

"Very well then, I will excuse you guys", and she left. Once again it was just myself and Sean in my office.

"Let's eat first and you can continue reading later. We have enough time, she won't hurt her, she knows you will do anything for Victoria, so eat", Sean offered.

I agreed, I was starving anyway and so we ate. Sincerely the food was amazing, I had no idea Montana was a good cook. I And Sean both enjoyed her cooking and digested it with cold juice and cold water.

She told us we could pick anyone we liked and we picked both. Finally, we felt alive and revived.

"Alright, where did I stop? The ritual", I said and opened the book to the page, I had folded.

Malachar arranged an altar in his secret space, adorning it with everything it needed. The altar served as a focal point for the ritualistic offerings he was going to do/give.

Using a consecrated dagger, Malachar opened his arm, used that dagger, and slit his palm, enough to draw out blood, enough blood. Now he sprinkled the blood around the altar, making sure that his blood dropped on the altar very well and every corner of the altar.

When he was done, he tied his hand with a cold towel to stop the flow of blood a bit and started lighting up his candles in sequence. Malachar began with the pure white ones and then followed by the silver candles. As the flames were lit, he could feel it.

He then moved on to burn a blend of herbs and resinous incense, releasing fragrant smoke that wafted through the ritual space while he spoke little words. He was certain that the aroma was good and served as an offering to the unseen entities, something they would like.

And if they were to be invited they would show their presence in the sacred exchange.

He had these rare crystals with him that he placed at the center of the altar. They were going to act as the conduits for the energies harnessed during the whole ritual.
